I never been so humiliated !!!!!!!!!!!! I went to pick up meds today, the counter lady asked "how are you"? I said not real good I've got poison oak, she freaked out and stood back from the counter said she was highly allergic and I told her so am I but I cant transfer it to you. I'm wearing a mask and covered in clothing from head to toe. She ask to see my hands, nothing. She was so freaked out. I asked her I'd like to talk to the pharmacist and had a cream in my hand wanting to get his opinion on it. She went back and spoke with him, result he never came out and told her to tell me the cream won't work use vinegar!!!!!! She asked me to hold up my cards and asked me to put the cream back on the shelf myself. This lady's tag said student pharmacist, better get used to icky things, it's part of the med world. I felt so humiliated but had to go out today to get my meds. I took all the precautions for just her reaction!!!! Abysmal customer service from the pharmacy. Hours posted on their website don't include that they "close for lunch" even though they have sufficient staff to stagger the breaks. Locals drive up to an hour to get to this facility to be told "we're taking our break now". CVS used be a decent brand, and now regret moving my prescription service to them. I'll be moving my business to Costco Merced. It's only my sense of civility that prevents me from giving them the same FU they gave me. read more

I have been going to the CVS in Oakhurst for the last 3 years and they have given me better service than any pharmacy I ever had. The boss is a fella named Etienne. Since the Oakhurst location is close to Yosemite, they get their share of tourists from around the world stopping by to pick up their prescriptions. I have noticed on several occasions that some of them are challenged when it comes to speaking English. Not to worry, Etienne speaks 6 (that's right, SIX) different languages. The first time I saw him accommodate a customer in a foreign language I was pleasantly surprised. Then I saw him do it again a couple of more times in a VARIETY of different languages. I was absolutely blown away! I have never seen a store manager of any kind that has shown this kind of mastery when it came to taking care of his customers- either foreign or domestic. His staff has certainly taken the cue from this linguistic phenomenon. While they may not speak 6 languages, their customer service is OVER THE TOP! They have helped through the MEDICARE MAZE many times and provide me with more information about my prescriptions than my local doctor's office. This is a terrible pharmacy. Things are mis-priced, the wait for pharmacy is long and you get the runaround. It was a ridiculous situation that quickly became aggravating and because of their incompetence, we were late for an appointment and ended up waiting for hours. The prices on some items are wrong. Then when we tried to return them, we were sent to the front of the store. They said we had to return the items at the pharmacy. The manager apologized but couldn't do anything. This was AFTER two long waits in-line at the pharmacy. We returned what we were able to up front and kept the incorrect medication. It was an unnecessary, awful, stressful experience. read more

I have only lived up here for a couple of months and I have shopped at CVS on a regular basis at least several times a week and i have not had any problems today I had to deal with the pharmacy I pushed the button on the allergy isle several times and the girl up front requested help several times I was waiting for help from the front.. but was told i needed to go to the pharmacy for allergy meds where the 2 of them decided to go to lunch together and close the pharmacy while there were people in line what a mess couldnt they have taken lunch at different times and why not answer the call to help I believe customer service is really important especially in a small town The pharmacy girl was so rude read more

Aside from the "mean girls" vibe from some of the female shelf stockers (who falsely reported myself and other floor associates for "messing up the organization of shelving").... it was a good place to be. Staff are very nice here. A sign reads that masks are required, but 75% of people weren't wearing them, and a cashier just had her nose covered. I'm a nurse and concerned about spreading Covid. CVS has a pharmacy and they should be concerned too. read more

This review is for CVS management, not the pharmacist or staff who are really competent and nice. They are UNDERSTAFFED and overworked which translates into me having 1) to wait in long lines or on hold or 2) not receive the service at all. Last night, I called in, needing an emergency Rx filled which required the pharmacists' call to the Dr's office. This poor pharmacist had so many people waiting in line that she, out of the goodness of her heart, had to send me "elsewhere" because there was no way she was going to get to me before the closed for the night. (Hello Mgmt: your hours are short!) "Elsewhere" turned out to be Rite-Aid just up the street. Their (also) very nice tech HAD THE TIME to take my request and get it filled quickly. Despite my liking CVS, I'm switching, as this wasn't a "one time" situation, it has been the norm for awhile. CVS Management: wake up! read more

The Oakhurst CVS store is useless when it comes to Covid reservation program! Do not waste your time getting a Covid shot at CVS since their reservation program does not work! literally they took every other store customer in pharmacy line ( 8) even though I had a 230 appointment they told me to go to the end of line to wait which was all ready seven more people still waiting ! The employee working the counter was so slow the manager had to jump in to help the growing line! The slow employee even stopped working the one customer 2 times ( even though manager was there & was going to answer my question) to direct me to end of line to wait. I said I had a 2:30 appointment & was checking in at the vaccination check in sign . The slowness of the employee & long line made it obvious it would be at least another 45 mins at least! Seems like most of the negative reviews on this location are based on the service (or possible lack of) provided by the pharmacy but my experience here was just involving the general parts of the store as opposed to specialty. I came for Play-Doh (to replace some dried up dough from a board game) and we ending purchasing some clearance chocolate leftover from christmas, too. The store was massive and so spacious for a CVS. So much room for activities! The parking lot on a Saturday around 7:15 was a little sketchy (could certainly use some better lighting throughout), but inside the store seemed fine. The selection (after Christmas) was very picked-over and not much left on the shelves but that's likely a seasonal thing and hopefully not indicative of their year-round inventory. We had a minor hiccup checking out with a few related and harmless but still a little odd questions from the cashier that felt very, 'you're not from around here, are you?', even though Oakhurst is still very much a modern small-ish town, but it was fine. Overall it's fine. Maybe not the place to be after-dark, but a fine place to snag some (likely expired) Play-Doh and chocolate on a Saturday evening. read more

Pharmacy keeps sending texts to come pick up drugs. I drove 55 mile round trip to find out that three of those days they sent texts they were closed, including today!!! I went to buy something and told cashier that items on self are misplaced. Cash register rang up wrong price. She went to check and came back and said I was wrong. I explained that she had to read the label on price tag and see I was right. She got attitude. I cancelled sale and went to Safeway and saved money! Pharmacists are never available. They close an hour to take a lunch? Ever hear of rotating shifts? The manager here really needs to get his head out of their rear. People don't have time to wait a hour for a prescription. Customer service is otherwise generally rude. .oh and what happened to selling tobacco? You have no problems giving vaccines like Gardasil that can kill, no problem selling Adderall (basically legal stimulant) and can sell alcohol but no tobacco? On that note, beer prices are ridiculous, and I drink all but 1 beer a week. Stay far away. Rite Aid here has much better service, and a drive up pharmacy. Friendly thoughts of a local read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. How rude and unhelpful can a person be??? I tried to get a prescription filled for my son today and the pharmacy would not fill it because they said the directions were unclear. It was for an inhaler. An inhaler that my son has had before , not a narcotic , an inhaler. I guess they were confused it thought we would be confused by the "as needed" line on the script. Was a hold forever , then once I got ahold of the lady in charge she was so incredibly rude and didn't give a **** about trying to find a solution. I will never shop there ever again. This CVS is horrible. First of all the people at the pharmacy are the rudest people we've ever encountered. I've even spoken to the mgr about them and nothing has changed. Also, the pharmacy is closed from 12:45 to 1:30pm for lunch. When I questioned why the mgr said "Well they have to have lunch". Well when you have 4 to 6 people working in the pharmacy you can stager their lunch so there is someone to help customers that have driven a long way to get to your pharmacy. I recently relocated to Oakhurst from the East Coast. For 4 years, my life-saving medications came from Walgreen's; however, becaus there is no Walgreen's in this area, I use CVS to fill my prescriptions. Today, I went into the pharmacy after ordering a refill of one of my anti-rejection meds for my kidney transplant. I ordered the drug on May 9th; when I arrived at the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that my Medicare insurance, which has been paying for this medication for 3 years without problems at Walgreen's, rejected the prescription. 4 days had gone by since I ordered the drug, and no one called me to tell me there was yet another phantom insurance problem. This time, I found out when I insisted on calling the processing number the pharmacist had called to find out for myself what now was holding up this medication, I found out from CVS' processor, Omnisys, that the pharmacy had not been paid for my prescription on March 9th because it failed a Medicare Part B audit requirement. Now, it seems, it has become my problem to spend my time fixing a problem the pharmacy should have fixed 2 months ago. Further, Christine, the pharmacist, never tried to obtain a partial prescription for me ( expecting the drug to be ready, I was down to 2 days of meds) until I called Omnisys myself and spoke with a supervisor. There was only Christine working in the pharmacy at 5:30 pm on a Friday night until a guy was called back to help out. Unbelievably, I saw this guy (red hair and beard) blow his nose into a Kleenex and then hand out prescriptions to customers without ever using a sanitizer or washing his hands. When I pointed this out to him, he just laughed. This CVS pharmacy has no concern for patients who depend on getting prescriptions in a timely manner, expect to be notified if there is an insurance problem, and demand that help use basic precautions, such as cleansing hands when blowing their noses. I was there for over an hour before Christine finally did her job and obtained authorization for 4 days of my medication. And then, although the medication was there, she told me that I would have to wait another 30 minutes to obtain it. A horrible place -contact Joe Sanchez, the store manager, if you've had similar experiences. I also plan to write a letter to CVS headquarters about how poorly the pharmacy is managed. read more

Pharmacy staff was rude and didn't want to call pharmacy and stated she will get to it when she could because she was swamped. The whole time she was helping me she would cut me off mid sentence and sighing like I was a bother. I will never come back! read more

I only had 20 minutes to get an inhaler transferred there from Ohio while on vacation before my pharmacy back home closed. I was in the beginnings of an asthma attack. The pharmacy staff was wonderful and worked very quickly for me to ensure I could get that. I can't thank them enough! read more

Submitted a prescription on 12/17/2018 and it hasn't been filled as of today, 01/09/2019. Initially I was told by the pharm-tech that "Christine", the pharmacist, needed clarification on the use of the medication so my prescriber supplied this info. I've made 4 return trips to pick up the 'script and "Christine" is still holding it hostage. I called CVS and actually spoke with her this a.m. and she feigned ignorance about ever receiving the initial submission let alone each subsequent attempt to fill it. She seemed to know an awful lot about my situation and "schooled" me on the proper use of the med (as a sleep aid) but says there was no request for the medication in my file, PERIOD. Anywho, she's a big fat liar and I reported her to the State Board of Pharmacy/CA and will follow up with a complaint to the district manager of CVS. My health care provider says they have had lots of problems in dealing with CVS and "Christine", in particular...she gots to go. read more
