Staff was nice, until the quality issue. Menu was pretty long. I ordered the special. Spinach appetizer was good. Ribeye looks fantastic, half of it was done perfectly, tender, juicy and flavorful. The back side of the other half was mysteriously over cooked, it was grey and dry. I showed it to the waiter and he shrugged his shoulder and said: this is medium. dessert (flan) was nicely done, not too sweet and with perfect velvety texture. But, why do they put two large blobs of ugly looking pudding-line thing next to it? As decoration? (I could have used more degrading terms to describe the shape, but I would just hint they look soft served ice cream in the sun) I had high hopes for another good meat dinner in Argentina, unfortunately this restaurant disappointed. The lady out front' led us in. There are two other options inside. I checked in and was greeted by the nice hostess who let us sit in the waiting area as they prepared our table. The vibes inside gave classic olden times. We were here for it. I loved that I could see the sky when I looked up. I made a classic booboo and mentioned wanting fernet and coke cos that was what everyone was drinking at the futbol game the day before. The guy was like no. He then proceeded to make us a fernet cocktail. As we had so much steak the say before, we opted for the smaller size here. We got the ribeye. Paired with it was their amazing mushroom dish served in a skillet. My god. That was the best thing I ate that day. We also got the pasta. So damn good. The 3 went perfectly together. They do give a starter bite and post dessert bites. Those paired with our cappuccino nicely. The staff here was 10/10 - the FS standard. Elena at The Four Seasons Buenos Aires was one of the most memorable meals we had during our…read morehoneymoon. Ranked as one of the top 100 steak restaurants in the world and noted on the Michelin guide, it absolutely lives up to these accolades with impeccable service, world-class steak, and thoughtful touches that made our evening feel extra special. Given that we were staying at the hotel, it made all the sense in the world to make this reservation. From the moment we sat down, the service was warm and attentive, striking that perfect balance between professional and personable. Our meal started with a very large and warm complimentary bread service, a small but welcome touch that unfortunately some institutions in the United States have foregone after the pandemic in the name of cost cutting and profit maximization. Here's what ordered: Appetizers: - Ajillo Squid & Prawns: fainá, fermented tofu emulsion - Charred Fritters: bagnacauda sauce Entrée & Sides: - 21 oz New York Strip: cooked medium, sliced for sharing - Thick-Cut French Fries Drinks: - Glass of Malbec (graciously comped for our honeymoon) - a complementary Champagne toast, also comped for our honeymoon The Ajillo Squid & Prawns had incredible flavors, with the unique, rich fermented tofu emulsion tying everything together. The Charred Fritters were perfectly crisp, and the bagnacauda sauce added just the right amount of savory to the fried coating of the fritters. Then, came the star of the night--the 21 oz New York Strip. Cooked to a flawless medium, sliced tableside, and served with only salt on the side (which it barely needed), this steak was as good as it gets. Juicy, very flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth tender, it's clear why Elena is regarded as one of the best steakhouses in the world. The thick-cut fries were a great side dish, like the steak fries at any other steakhouse. But we both left the dinner thinking that we should've ordered something more "unique" as a side. As if the food wasn't enough, our server surprised us by comping my glass of Malbec, followed by champagne to toast our honeymoon during dessert, a thoughtful gesture that made an already fantastic meal even more special. Although prices were comparable to those pre-pandemic at American steakhouses, we both agreed that the quality and portion sizes were superior. We left completely stuffed and felt like we had received outstanding value for what we paid. Elena is the kind of place that makes a special occasion feel even more unforgettable. An absolute must when in Buenos Aires. Thank you for setting the tone during our Honeymoon!

The food is local, seasonal and lovingly prepared. I ordered lamb shoulder which was roasted or grilled (not sure) but it was like no lamb I've had in my life. Most lamb I've had is like a cut of steak: dense and strong. This was tender like poultry with subtle lamb flavor. Wow wow! I'll never think of lamb the same way again. Service was kind, efficient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. My only critique is the amount of dressing on the salad, even though I generally like good coverage. I'm honored to give this restaurant its first yelp review in a while. I got a main, wine, water and dessert for $6000 pesos including tip. So worth it!

Staying for two months at a time, we ate here at least once a week. A former pharmacy, the wooden class-fronted cabinets have a certain charm. Menu is straight forward and prices very reasonable. We kept Argentine hours while there, taking dinner no earlier than 10:30pm, sometimes at midnight. That put us with the regulars v tourists who would be there much earlier. Better experience dining with the regulars. At that late hour you can watch the cartóneros, the families scurrying about collecting cardboard and recycles throughout the area. Quite an operation. You leave the restaurant after dinner exiting the entrance crowded by waiting patrons and walk on the streets full of couples and groups. Although it is after midnight, it is very safe because so many people are out and about. Our regular order was bife de chorizo (their basic steak), pure de papa or papas fritas (mashed or french fries) and an ensalada mixta (our choice of lettuce, onion and tomato with, and you have to specify aciete de olivo = olive oil v vegetable oil. And a bottle of Malbec red wine. They cook the steaks on low temperature and though it takes time, you will marvel at the flavor. Waiters have been there long term. It is a great experience.

We ordered a ribeye, a salad to start and the pumpkin. The salad was delivered with the main course, a pet peeve of mine. The salad itself consisted of wilted and boarder line rotten greens and spinach that we had to pick our way around. As for the ribeye, we were served a short rib, not a ribeye. We later realized, after looking at another restaurant, that this was due to a translation error on their menu. Although the portion was enormous, even though we ordered the "half" portion, the meat was extremely sinuous and difficult to eat. We also ordered a salmon ravioli which was reasonably good. Suffered generously with salmon. The star of the meal was the pumpkin, actually squash. It was baked in its skin and the skin was blackened making for a very nice presentation and just an ever so slight charred flavour. Overall I would not recommend Minga. It is difficult to overlook a steak house that has translation errors on their steak offerings and the quality of the cut and preparation of the short ribs were just not up to par.
