If you are looking for excellent customer service, this is the place to go. I ordered a couple of chairs online and unfortunately they were not suitable for my needs so I attempted to return them to Camping World in Denton which is my closest store (20 miles away). The cashier could not find the items in the system even though I provided her with the original order and receipts, her Manager could not find them either and told me "sorry, you can't return them here, you will have to mail them back to Camping World". I went online and looked at the return policy, I should have been able to return any items purchased online to any Camping World store. I even called customer service to check and was told the same. So we decided to try and return these chairs to a different Camping World store and drove 45 miles to Sherman. What a difference! every employee that we encountered was friendly, smiling and just wanted to help. We explained what had happened at Denton and they were very concerned that we had received such poor customer service. Rikki, Bobby, Phil and Dale then went out of their way to figure out how to return these items and it took a while to do, it wasn't easy and it involved some Manager overrides but ultimately they were able to return the chairs and refund my money. I wish there was a 0 star rating as they deserve that. Nothing is easy with this place and everything, even the simple tasks take forever to accomplish. It took over 3 months to get our tags and registration and this was only accomplished after 5 different phone calls and a couple of extra visits to the store. The visits were not soemthing we wanted to do as it's a good drive from our house. But, we want get this settled. Don't buy the extended service plan. Its a trash policy and when you go to cancel they give you the run around and make you jump thru hoops to get it cancelled. All of the delay means more money for them and less of a refund for us. Convenient right? We are still jumping thru their obstacle course to cancel our policy and have no faith this will be done quickly. What a headache and nightmare this place is. Also, no one is ever free to take your calls. You'll leave message after message with some dingbat receptionist, to just be disregarded and not get a call back. I recommend buying a RV from any other place as it has to be better than our experience here. read more

This dealership is a joke. It's let us sell you an rv then see how many ways we can screw you. And the salesman joe joe (older red headed guy) will stand there smiling as he is your best friend while blowing smoke up your ass the entire time. He told us at time of purchase the part that was broken would be there in two weeks. 5 months later we are still waiting for the refrigerator to be fixed. the light in the storage area that didn't work was replaced with something purchased at the dollar store leaving a hole where the original light was mounted. While there cleaning out my rv I talked to another customer who said they have had his for 6 months now waiting on a part he could have bought at Home Depot another customers flor started to lift from the sub floor they came in and tried to reseal it and stretch it tight. It left ripples at the corners of the cabinet and is now starting to split ( camping worlds response to this is NOT OUR PROBLE. Buyers beware read more

I have been doing research for a while on the camper I wanted and on dealerships regarding customer service and and service department. The unit I decided was at Camping World Sherman. A little hesitant after reading reviews, I still went and checked it out for myself as they had the camper I wanted. From the first contact via email/phone my salesperson, Ron Hollingsworth, was absolutely amazing. Ron had to be patient with me as I had done QUITE A BIT of research. :) . Anyway he was not pushy. Everyone at Camping World Sherman was amazing. There is a new GM there and this guy could not have been nicer (and also not pushy) and he also had a lot of patience with me :). The service department did an amazing job getting my camper ready and the service man over my unit was hilarious and walked through everything with us. Shopping for a travel trailer? Definitely shop at Camping World Sherman. We had excellent service from the first phone call inquiry. Ron, in sales, was very knowledgeable about the specific trailer we were looking for and we purchased it same day. The variety of stock is incredible. The prep guys, T.J., Justin and especially J.T. were so helpful and installed the back up camera (this was a must), and the power tongue jack in a very timely and professional manner. The whole experience could not have been better. Thank you Lori for our multiple trips to the cashier for add on purchases. From the decision to purchase to the completion of paperwork with the Finance manager, it was seamless and their good humor and patience added to the excitement we felt. We purchased an Open Range fifth wheel in the fall from this dealership. We were not impressed with a lot of what happened. However, a couple of people in the Service Department helped change our minds and we now believe that we found a good dealership. Dale George, a Service Advisor, is great. He makes you think you are in in good hands and he actually follows through on his promises. We think the Dealership is much better off because of Dale. Kelvin Cockrill is another really great Service Department employee. He is super friendly and polite. Another plus is that he really can fix/repair RVs. Bryson Gray, the Finance Manager, was one of the first employees that was actually nice to us. He even handled his job with knowledge and aplomb. These employees help to make this dealership worthy of our business. read more

I visited them when I was in Texas for vacation. Even though I wasn't actually looking for an RV, they were very pleasant and I told them right off the bat that I was just checking things out. The sales people still explained the features to me, offered me free beverages, etc. I have to say if they treat people who they know aren't going to be their customers like this, then I would like to see how they treat the people who are actually buying an RV. I did only go to the Sherman location, however I was told they have 2 other locations in the Texas area. we just happened to be closer to this one. read more

The best experience in the world. Everyone is very friendly and makes you feel like family. Bought a 2019 5th wheel and the whole experience was easy as can be. I bought my 2020 Keystone Premier at Camping World in Sherman after searching several other dealers and several other camping world locations. They had exactly what I was looking for. We were locked out of our Durango RV overnight and Rich Lang in service was awesome. He let us use his master key to get back into our RV, so my wife and I could get our keys. A hard lesson learned. Keep a spare key outside of the RV. Thank you Rich for helping us out. read more
