Extremely disappointed with Camping World Oshkosh. Our experience has been terrible from the purchase of our motorhome through service. We paid approximately $14,000 for an Assurant warranty that was represented to us as essentially bumper-to-bumper, only to find out that our leaking roof and leaking brake caliper aren't covered. A Camping World service employee even told us, "I wish they wouldn't sell the warranty the way they do, it doesn't cover any of that." Then we were charged $125 by service only to be told they couldn't reproduce the roof leak and don't have technicians to perform the chassis repair. We've escalated this to Camping World corporate and followed up multiple times without a meaningful response. We actually tried to undo the purchase shortly after buying the motorhome because the experience was already so bad, but our trade had already been sold. Based on our experience, I would not purchase another RV or extended warranty from Camping World. read more

Finally got to stop here! Touring some of the campers was a lot of fun. The staff was not very engaged in the front of the store, but in the back where the service department is, the gentleman was very helpful. I love how they have almost everything you need for your camping world And very good prices, including sales. read more

Horrible horrible service got my RV had to buy three brand new batteries had to buy windshield wiper blades had a big crack in my hot water heater tank. They went and replaced it and never tested. It never filled my tank back up when they said everything was set they never followed through the new Director. Mike said he'd call me and there'd be no charge you take care of me and every time they keep saying they're gonna take care of me they never ever do. They lie they make Excuses my advice to any of you who have to deal with them is make sure you got the DMV states phone number for dealer fraud. I've had nothing nothing but a headache. I feel like I've been raked over the Coles and my poor mother who is elderly and has several heart problems. This was on her last bucket list boy I tell you never again never. read more

When you try to buy something they pull the used car salesman tactics on you. The whole experience was shady. They add $3000.00 to the purchase for setup and destination charges. The sales manager came out in the end like he was going to make a difference and it was comical. There are many places to purchase campers, this is not one of them. read more

Huge thanks to Eric at Oshkosh Camping World! We had a blown fuse on our solar system, and no one--including Camping World--had the exact replacement in stock. But thanks to Eric's creative problem-solving, we found a solution that got us back up and running. Without his help, we would've been without power for days waiting on a shipment. Truly appreciate his quick thinking and willingness to help! read more

I purchased a 2022 Crossroads Zinger 280RB in the spring of 2023 from the Eau Claire, WI store. Everyone there was very professional and accommodating. Unfortunately after overwintering in the spring of 2024, we discovered the Norcold refrigerator was not working. I confirmed we followed the manufacturer's suggestions for overwintering. We had since relocated across the state so the Oshkosh, WI location ended up being the closest. We reached out to them in April 2024 to start the process of getting repairs done. I wish I could say the process was smooth as myself or my husband needed to make contact with the service department to get any sort of update. We did not get a new fridge installed until the last week of August 2024. This means we spent the entire summer without a working refrigerator in a camper we spent way too much money on that was well within the warranty. Again we winterized our camper in the fall of 2024 same as the year prior not doing anything the manufacturer advised against. As it is now warming up in Wisconsin we opened up our camper again for the year. Yet AGAIN the refrigerator is NOT FUNCTIONAL. This new refrigerator didn't even last 8 months less if you count the winter months it was not being used. read more

We needed a repair, from a water leak on our grand design camper. We were camping not far away but headed to the Upper Peninsula. They were able to get us in quickly, find the leak, fix it and send us on our way. Not only that but they graciously emptied our black tank before sending up on our way. Jonathon was attentive, thorough, kind and polite. Brian the mechanic was awesome and also polite and helpful! Our experience was wonderful and we would recommend everyone stopping here for all their camping needs. ( they had some good sales on camper needs too)! BTW, it took 2 days for Greenbay camping world to get back to us with a no- we cannot help you!! read more

In 2020 we bought a trailer from Camping World in Portland, OR (where we lived at the time) to begin our retirement... one of the best things we've done. We had plan to move to Oshkosh... so when we moved out here we tried to find a CW close to keep receiving the same great service we got in Portland. To our surprise one was open here a few months after we got here. As we suspected we were greeted by the smiling face of a young man name Chris... whom still greets us to this day. The reason for this review is to talk about a new friend we met Eric Reese. Our problem had nothing to do with service really but helping with a couple old people understand new technology. Camp grounds no longer do cable so it makes the web sites spotty at best. We were looking for resolution without another monthly bill...and Eric not only helped with us with that but because he didn't have all we need he suggested we go to best buy to get an amazon stick. Seeing the confused look in our old faces he offered that if we brought the trailer in the morning he would help us set it up... we did and he did... now that is beyond his normal duties. It's really no more then what we except from CW but we wanted you to know as well. Thanks, Greg Hamilton Oshkosh, WI read more

My wife an I purchased a camper in July. Upon delivery they had a tire blow out an wreck a few parts of the camper. I was told it would be a couple days till they receive parts to fix. No big deal at the time. It's been a month will no updates on there part. Anytime I call about the issue nobody seems to know anything. Service has been very poor since the beginning. I think we will just end up returning it ourselves an try getting are money back. read more

My sister and her husband purchased a pop-up camper as well as several accessories. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The selection of campers was admirable, the store was clean, well organized, and they had a good selection of related products. My sister also got a cool vintage/modern glow in the dark keychain with her camper purchase. They continue to shop here for camping items when needed. I highly recommend giving this place a look see. read more

Stopped in at 1:30p on Friday with an electric tongue Jack not working. After a short wait an available parts department employee came to help. Eric was able to diagnose that a recently added Jack-it bike rack had interfered with the grounding and the switch burnt out. While it was raining he replaced the switch and jury rigged a new ground. Got us back on our way and only charged us for the new switch. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. We purchased a used 5th wheel. Both times we tried to pick up the camper, there were issues. In December, it was the leveling panel. In January, it was the furnace. There was zero communication between management and the service center. We called the corporate office to try and get our money back, but we were assured by the manager in Oshkosh that everything was fixed. We had the camper delivered today, and after a few hours, the furnace stopped working AGAIN!! It is 30 degrees outside. Do not buy a camper from this location. They are not to be trusted. read more

Had an appt to meet with a Joe P, after being told by Joe the unit we were going to look at "looked to be well maintained". We live in Green Bay so it's a good 45 minute drive one way. We arrived on time and were told that Joe was with another customer so a different salesman would be taking us through the unit. This salesman who took us through the unit was very nice, but said he had only been there 3 weeks and didn't know anything about the class of motorhome we were interested in and he dealt mostly with travel trailers. Not his fault so nothing against him. The unit has 2 slide outs. All the rubber seals on both slide outs were either completely shot/ripped off and some were held on by duct tape. There was a very noticeable dent in the rear bumper. A few other minor issues as well outside as well as inside. To be told the unit "looked to be well maintained" was very misleading. A morning of our time and a quarter tank of gas wasted. Lesson learned, we should have read the reviews beforehand. read more

We purchased a 2015 Forest River on January 11th from this location. Initially went to look at it on the 4th and started the process of price after some promises and working on financing. That week in between seeing it and going to sign and pick up could not get straight answers out of the finance team. Kept getting told monthly payments and interest rates and terms that did not make sense and could not get them to send anything in writing to us. (Our credit scores are in the high 700's and I work in mortgage lending so I have an idea of what the process should be) . Someone suggested I ask my employer lie and say I work in our Oshkosh office to get a better rate even at one point. Finally the day before we were to go pick it up I get an email with an accurate interest rate and payment term so we did continue the purchase/process. Upon final inspection some things were noticed that were needed to be repaired and since it was January in Wisconsin the camper was winterized and we were told that come spring to bring it back so they would de-winterize and check the rest of the mechanicals that everything worked as it should and at that time all items would be fixed. We proceeded to the finance office then and they tried to change the term and rate on the loan and add a warranty that we had never even spoke about. They were trying to put us in a 20 year loan on a 10 year old camper after we had in email that we had agreed to a 10 year loan at a certain rate. I wish we would have walked out like I tried at that moment. They changed the paperwork after we said no we would not be signing that and would not be purchasing this camper. We proceeded to buy the camper at the agreed to loan. 2 months later we still did not have license plates or registration in the mail. So I reached out, learned that most of the people we worked with no longer worked there. Was told it takes 10 weeks for the DMV to process. I had already called the DMV, they never received anything on our camper and confirmed they were only taking 2 weeks to process and get registration and plates out. I had to consider legal action and told them that and shocking I got a temporary registration and plate sent via email that day. Then went back to get the promised work done and get the camper de-winterized and was told this was not something they do and the people that promised this are no longer working there. I will give one major compliment to Chris B. In service as he worked his butt trying to get us what we were promised even though we had never worked with him prior. He is the only customer friendly person at this store we have encountered and followed through with us. Now 2 months later after the temporary plates were received we still don't have real plates (over 4 months after purchase). Call the DMV again, they have still never received our application or the fees to register the camper in our names, which Camping World charged us for. Once again I have to consider legal counsel as I have made 4 payments on this camper that still is not titled and registered in my name. read more

I had an issue with my Coleman Camper . A bolt was poking through the floor but had not punctured the vinyl flooring as of yet . I took pictures and went into the Camping World in Oshkosh showed him the pictures and they had a gentleman coming out to that particular Campground the next day . He looked at the camper climbed underneath the camper was able to re-snug the bolt down and didn't even have to open up the flooring . They did a marvelous job and Mike was a great service man ! I would recommend Oshkosh Camping World. read more

Purchased a generator from Camping World Oshkosh and had a great experience. Eric and Jeffery did a very good job of answering all my questions before the sale. When I got the generator home, I found there were some serious issues with it from the factory. Eric , Jeffery, and Patty helped me get a new machine. This is what I call good customer support. You want to deal with a company that has your back. That is Camping World of Oshkosh! Good Products!, Good People!, Good Service!. read more
