I most definitely have experienced better, well, EVERYTHING, than this place. I'm a pretty basic customer. I like to know what I'm looking for before I go into a store. I knew what I was looking for in this case - a new bike seat. This place was right on the way home after a trip up to Green Bay. I figured why not? Kill two birds with one stone and get on with the day!
I walked in, walked into the seat area. (not greeted by the group of gearheads working towards the back of the store - no biggie). I figured out which seat was the best one to get - again, by myself, no help from the gearheads. I walked around, looked at some shorts, walked RIGHT PAST the gearheads. In the meantime another couple walked in - maybe they looked like they had more money? They were greeted upon arrival! So they CAN talk!
I found my seat. And then I stood around a good 5 minutes - at the counter, ready to check out. After their lack of, well, anything, (motivation?) I wanted to see how long it would take them to even acknowledge I was there to spend money. Really, I'm there to buy something. At least do me a favor and take my money, so I can buy my seat and get on with the day. They obviously knew I was there. I wasn't sure if they initially knew how to talk or acknowledge a customer, or perhaps they didn't know the basic rules of customer service. (My vote goes to the latter).
Finally my husband walked in, and wanted to go. I yelled to the gearheads - "Oh hey guys, I'm ready to check out now!" Finally Gearhead # 1 sauntered up to the counter, didn't say a word - and grunted out an answer when I asked about possibly getting some spare caps for a valve on my innertube on my back tire. I think it was something along the lines of, "Ohhhh... uh, yeah, we don't have those." Really? You don't have the caps that go over valves on innertubes? DId I not spend enough money to get a cap thrown in for no charge?
Yikes! I most definitely won't be back here. Their lack of basic customer service, along with their lack of acknowledgement - isn't worth the time or money saved. And the worst part is I did absolutely nothing to this group of hooligans to warrant being treated this way. I paid $36.00 for an overpriced seat I found online for about $20.00. I could have saved myself a lot of time and grief. Go elsewhere! read more
