Fabel Repair and Truck Wash - Catches the wind, lousy alignment.

    Fabel Repair and Truck Wash

Collision center at Fabel Truck. Terrible work with no quality control, but nice people. The front…read moreof my Escape including the hood, both quarter panels, and underbody was relocated thanks to a red-light runner. After researching reviews and warranties/stand-behind guarantees with the insurance company, we chose Fabel Collision Center especially because they were so nice to us. Their shop is immaculate as well. After a month or so when I went to pick up the car, I got within 10 feet and knew right away it was unacceptable. The headlights were not aligned, and the front bumper (which they said was OEM) joint near the right quarter panel was WAY off, you could see it from across the parking lot. The hood (a new replacement) even had chips in it. I immediately rejected the work, and they took it back to repair for a couple days. Upon return, doing my due diligence, I went to check the oil levels, and noticed that they had not connected the air intake. After a few minutes and some mumbling of "it's a tight fit", I just took my car, said my "see ya later", and departed. Essentially none of the panels are fit on this car. The doors and quarter panels do no align, with some catching the wind. The hood (with its paint touch up) is off by at least one-half inch side-to-side, and the front bumper they took in the back still does not align, and they even acknowledged they didn't know what to do! The saga continues, we will have to take it to another repair shop to truly get it fixed, and I even wonder if all the parts are there at this point. This is a story of high hopes, and tremendous disappointment. The people and the shop are nice, but the work product is miserable with absolutely ZERO quality control.

This is a great business! I was introduced to them by coincidence. I happened to break down about a…read moremile down the road from their W. Prospect location, so I pulled in to see if I could get "on the schedule". They sat me down in there new air-conditioned waiting room, gave me a free soda, (HOT DAY) and took an immediate look. I thought that with a facility like this, this will be pricey, but ten minutes later they sent me on my way with a temporary fix, (until parts could be ordered), at ..... NO CHARGE??!! I could not believe it either ... not even for the soda. Once the part came in, I brought the car back and got it done right for about half the price I was expecting. This is a very friendly, and efficient operation focused on the customer. What a nice change of pace in today's corporate greed world!

We had no damage except that our step coming out of the motorhome was bent a little from the dirt. The original truck workers that came to tow us out misdiagnosed our situation and tried to pull us out from the rear. In doing so, they separated/tore off the front of our RV at the seam of the passenger side and broke the front window. Then a crane came to pull us out. The crane brought our front end out of the ditch toward the road, but buried the rear end in. So then the same original rig and workers that tore off our front end hooked up to the rear hitch again and tried to drag the motorhome so that the rear end was more level with the shoulder. As they did this, they snapped the rear bumper in half, broke the hitch, separate the rear panel of the motor home and ruin the tire cap. On Friday, May 29, 2020 we got an estimate of how much the repairs would cost for the damage that the towing company did to the motor home. The estimated damages were approximately $15,000. We called Accel Auto & Truck Repair on Monday, June 1, 2020 and spoke with the owner Brian. We asked him how he would like to proceed and he said it was not his problem and he refused to give us his insurance information. He then said that he would see us in court.
