We went to Camping World today looking at Rockwood bumper pulls and 5th wheels. Our salesman, Chris, was absolutely amazing and took great care of us. He never pressured us into looking at other brands or anything bigger than what we wanted. Even though we didn't have a set price range, they never pushed us toward spending more than we were comfortable with. It was a great experience getting to look at all the different trailers and keeping an open mind. Ted also talked with us about finances and the best options available. He gave us multiple resources and options to choose from. The lady at the front desk who helped us the minute we walked in was absolutely a sweetheart. She got us connected with a salesperson right away and understood exactly what we were looking for. Just no. It's unfortunate you have to go through RV dealers salesman pitches and pressure to access RVs to even look at. The add-ons for the quote were ridiculous. You can just feel the vulture attitude in the air. It's unnerving. Someday I hope there is a "Carvana" model for RV purchasing. That said... they had a new model with a floor plan we wanted. A Coleman. Which the one sales guy shamed us for even wanting- the "Costco hotdog" he called it, looking down on those who want Coleman's. Budget buyers should be respected too. So ironic, as we weren't even budget shopping, it was just the perfect layout for ours needs. We asked one question of the sales team, to be answered from the manufacturer before proceeding. They would have had a sale. Never heard back. Thank you for that!!! We found something elsewhere, with a layout that worked even better for us! The RV dealer sales system needs to be overhauled. My personal experiences are horrible at best and with so many RV Sales options in the area that I would ever recommend this location. Their tactics are anti-consumer law, they do not make good on a single promise or delivery and then they make you chase them and eventually sue them hoping to get resolution. My husband and I flew from Sacramento, CA, to purchase a used RV from Camping World in New River, AZ. Before making the trip, we requested additional photos and relied on the information provided to us. Between airfare, hotel costs, food, and transportation, we spent approximately $3,000 just to make this purchase happen. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, the sales staff were largely inattentive. We were essentially left to inspect the RV on our own, with no salesperson accompanying us to answer questions or discuss the unit's condition during our walk through. Within minutes, I noticed a large crack running down the exterior wall of the RV. This was never disclosed before our trip. I understand that used RVs come with normal wear and tear, but a crack in an exterior wall is not a minor cosmetic flaw, it's a serious issue that could indicate structural damage. What made the situation even more frustrating was being told that they had never noticed the damage and that their "best person" had inspected the RV. If that's true, then their inspection process is deeply concerning. I spotted the crack almost immediately, despite having no professional RV inspection experience. We traveled hundreds of miles and spent thousands of dollars based on the expectation that the RV had been accurately represented. Instead, we arrived to find a major undisclosed defect and left feeling completely misled. To make matters worse, by the time we left the lot, the RV had already been reposted for sale online and the crack is still not shown in the listing photos. I find it unbelievable that Camping World would accept an RV with a crack running down the exterior wall for consignment and then market it without clearly disclosing or photographing that damage. Buyers beware: if you're considering purchasing an RV from this location, do not rely solely on the listing, photos, or inspection claims. Conduct your own thorough inspection and ask detailed questions before spending your time and money traveling to see a unit. read more

TAMMER is a 1 of a kind salesman that is very knowledgeable he isn't pushy when tammer is with you you get 100% of his time and he doesn't vary. Hise knowledge comes from years of rving . Brian is the salesmanager and he's a decent guy ! Jerry is a superior tech and he fixes whatever is needed he also does delivery instructions on the rv's he services! Justin in finance is a good guy when you need things to be done right! We recently bought our 'new to us' RV from Camping World in New River. I know there are some bad reviews on here, but we had a great experience. This isn't our first RV so I'm sure it helped that we were prepared with questions. We also hired an inspector which gave us peace of mind. All and all, Joey in sales and Brian the sales manager were great to work with, and I even appreciated Justin the Finance guy. At the end of the day, they are all in sales but if you are prepared up front with what you want/what to look for, it definitely helps the overall process. read more

8 Months Later - Still Dealing with a Nightmare Where do we even begin? Our issues started the very day we brought our RV home, and it's been nothing but frustration ever since. We were charged $2,495 for a so-called "inspection and prep" fee, which we later found out has already been ruled as a bogus charge in litigation in another state. Yet, here we are--still paying for it. The battery was dry when we got home, despite clearly asking for our two AGM batteries to be swapped out. It was even written in the sales agreement. But the technician, who seemed completely overwhelmed, complained about being overworked and wanting to leave early for Halloween. He told us he had 12 units to walk through that day. We stepped into our "new-to-us" trailer expecting the two beautiful grey recliners and matching sofa that were in it when we agreed to the sale. Instead, they had been replaced with shoddy brown furniture, completely changing the interior look. The sales manager said they didn't know what happened and offered to help us remove the Ashley chairs they stuck in there--not acceptable after we agreed to purchase it as originally shown. The dining area shade was missing, and the technician just shrugged and said they'd "see if they could reattach it." The door window frame was melted, likely from heat damage, and we were told that was "an easy fix"--still waiting. We were also promised filled propane tanks, but ran out on day one. Then came the brand-new hitch we purchased through the service department. We were quoted $2,400, but ended up paying over $3,000. They didn't even have all the parts ready. They had to scramble to another dealership to get the hitch plate while we waited in the dark--literally, because no one had a flashlight. Our hitch is defective and we can't get anywhere without the warranty info for it. To top it off, we were overcharged for the warranty, and when we requested a copy of the paperwork that reflected the original quotes and promised fees, they couldn't produce it. We had to fight to get the extra charges removed from our loan afterward. We have a list of other deep concerns that aren't right and will be addressing them very soon again.. Tired of the dismissive attitudes from the dealership Bottom line: This has been the most frustrating and disappointing experience we've ever had making a major purchase. From the misleading charges to the bait-and-switch on the furniture, poor service, and lack of communication--it's been a total letdown. Buyer beware. read more

I will update this to say that after reaching out to corporate Camping World they made it right. I was refunded the cost of the extended warranty that was never put into effect. I think like all large companies they have varying levels of employees from competent to worthless. I am happy that I received the refund but would have preferred Camping World to give a little more for my time and effort to make this right for me. Alas, I don't know if I'll be doing business with them again. Little Dealer, Little Prices will be my next RV dealer. read more

This is a long story, and needs some background. I live in SE AZ, about 4.5 hours from New River. I was driving north on Black Canyon Freeway near New River, AZ. Weirder than weird, the right rear wheel of my two axle Keystone Outback trailer broke its lugs and ran away. I came off the closest exit and limped back to Camping World on the frontage road. The trailer road like a champ on 3 wheels. (beside the point). The gal in the Service Shop was sympathetic and quick to warn me it would be 4-6 weeks before they could get to it. I was kind of stuck so I said okay. Background: I blew a tire in San Antonio, TX, and went to a Discount there. I told them what I wanted and that I had a quote on file through Discount, Sierra Vista, AZ. They knew I was not in town long and tried to up-sell me by saying they couldn't get my wheels and tires in for two weeks. I called Discount Tire Corporate to complain -- My Discount Tire in tiny town Sierra Vista could get the wheels and tires in two days, and metropolitan San Antonio needed TWO WEEKS?!?!? The SA Discount called me that my wheels and tires were in the next day. I SUSPECT that San Antonio Discount Tire over-torqued my wheels. . . . So, I asked the New River Camping World to replace ALL FOUR backing plates, new brakes, new hubs and lugs, lug nuts -- the whole shebang. Two months later, I came up to pick up my trailer. My friend and I were headed further north to camp. The first thing I noticed was lousy fuel mileage on my F350. I tested the breaks getting off on a rest area and the right side was locking up. 1. Both right side wheels were adjusted TOO TIGHT. I loosened them. I continued the trip and everything *SEEMED* okay. When I got home, I inspected my trailer suspension and such. During the inspection, I saw that Camping World had removed my extra Ground Wires! What, did they think there was such a thing as too many grounds??? 2. Camping World removed my additional grounds (I added for safety). Also, I saw a crack on the old axle's weld where the spring mount is welded! Whoever replaced the left hand backing plates SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS! 3. Camping World missed a broken weld on the axle. I stopped what I was doing and ordered two new axles. The axles came in and I prepared to do a 4-hour removal of the first axle. I took off the brake hub. ***Camping World installed Lippart - Thank you Very Much! *** 4. All Four Wheels' hubs were not adjusted properly! The left side was too tight, and the right side had play. 5. Camping world had over lubed the buddy bearings and there was greasy all over!!! I wish I had taken a picture! It was a serious safety hazard! I cleaned up the brake backing plate and such. Then I went to unbolt the 4 bolts on the backing plate. The manufacturer's recommended torque value is 50 lb-ft! My 125 lb-ft impact wrench could NOT break 3 of the 4 backing plates nuts loose! My 4-hours per axle turned out to be 8-hours per axle. 6. Camping World over-torqued three of the four backing plates to three times the recommended value! 7. One of the backing plates was only 20-35 ft-lbs. Too Loose! Fortunately, I have a 30" breaker bar. I got all but two nuts off. That one, I had to put a 12T bottle jack under the breaker bar to get them to crack loose. I welded the new spring-mount hardware on the new axles, ran the right brake wires inside, and mounted the axles. Then came the wiring. First, I put my ground wires back. If you hit road debris, or boon-dock like I do, you will appreciate it if you have good grounds. Now to the other wiring. I discovered that Camping world must have changed his or her mind about cutting the wires and instead cut them elsewhere. Unfortunately, ... 8. ... the POWER line to the left rear brake was completely severed and was hanging by insulation! I was driving on three brakes! 9. Camping World had cut short my 12-gauge brake wire, removed my 14-gauge grounds, and then ran 16-gauge wires for the brakes and grounds! The most important thing on trailers and they reduced the wire size!! What bothers me most is that using a torque wrench, setting and adjusting axle bearings, and adjusting brakes are the most basic of a mechanic's tasks. I was trained as a mechanic in the 5 years I was in the Army. Firms like this is why I Do All my maintenance Myself. read more

IF you purchase from Camping World New River (which I recommend you DO NOT) I HIGHLY recommend you do NOT fall for their "safety check" Bull Crap. Take your rig DIRECTLY to a shop and get a FULL safety run through. We purchased there in June of 2024. They stated this "safety check" was done, which we paid for, and this is the outcome from our mechanic LP LEAK found near regulator. GAS LEAK: Multiple failures found near refrigerator LP line. While underbelly was removed, tech disassembled gas line to LP regulator. Found teflon tape seals in line was leaking. WATER LEAK: Various new lines in underbelly leaking leading to mid toilet. Bad/loose fittings were leaking due to installation errors. Pump was also found to be faulting HYDRAULIC FLUID FOUND TO BE INCONSISTANT TO MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDED TYPE STABILIZERS: Single valve and pressure switch were found to be faulty Clearly this company does NOTHING for the safety of their customers. You all should be SHUT DOWN! No wonder you have a rating of an F with the BBB. Shame on you for putting the lives of innocent people at risk. read more

When I inquired why they ran my credit before we had even decided on a price of the trailer, they said most people don't care about the price, they care about the monthly payment. I got my rv from camping world NH and love it. The group at the Arizona location are children. I reported the New River group to their CEO for this company. Steer clear of this place!! My husband and I bought an octane toy hauler in December and the buying process was smooth. The only thing that threw us off was the $4000 inspection/ look over fee. Our seller brought that down down $2000 so we said okay. When we picked up our toy hauler we took it for our first trip to the dunes for new years. Upon arrival and using the bathroom twice we discovered the toilet was backed up. We had to wait 2 days until someone could come out and unclog it and had to pay $200 to have it done. When we went to dump after the trip the fresh water hose to clean out the septic went straight through the trailer to the bottom and onto the ground. We also discovered we had a fuel leak when we were out there and the inverter wasn't working properly. So much for paying $2000 to make sure everything worked huh? We called them as soon as we got back and they were apologetic and told us to bring it in. They said it would be ready the same week. 2 1/2 weeks after we dropped it off I started calling. This was on a Monday, I kept getting told "leave your number we will call back." At the end of the day with no call backs I start calling again on Tuesday with the same "we'll call you back we'll see what's going on." Again no call back. Finally I email the GM Brian who says he will have someone call. Finally someone calls on Wednesday only to tell us they just pulled the toy hauler into the bay and they're looking at it now. What do you mean you're looking at it now you've had it for 2 1/2 weeks and now you're just looking at it? We told Brian this who had no remorse or care that we had no communication for two weeks, and top of that no work done. I asked Brian how he was going to resolve this with no response after two emails so here I am warning others. We'll finally pick up the camper this week. read more

I purchased a motorhome that I actually really like other than when I drove it from Phoenix to Montana. I had $4000 in repairs found to be done. I've had it two months and I still have not been able to use it. Their high pressure is to buy their warranty from good Sams, which is an associate of Camping World. come to find out the warranty really is worthless so anybody getting the high-pressure pitch from Camping World please consider finding your own warranty service and not Good Sams. part of their sale is $1900 for a deep cleaning and bumper-to-bumper check. They repaired a few things but no deep cleaning which they reimburse me $750 for which was appreciated. rear seal was out of the axle with bearing damage, and the front had to have bearings replaced, and new calipers. They claimed it was pre-existing, which tells me they knew of the damage, but I was not informed of it when I purchased the motorhome. nothing on Camping World's work order said it was even inspected or looked at for the $1900. definitely if you were going to purchase from Camping World before you buy your RV, take it to your own mechanic to be checked over. their mechanic did the walk-through and answered my questions. Told me the hot water tank was under one of the booth seats and it was not. It was under the sink. Told me the freshwater tank drain was next to the tank and it was not. It was outside under the outside kitchen sink. Which tells me he had no idea and did not do many of the items that they claimed they did for the $1900. I have photographs and pictures of much of these problems and print outs from the shop. and also from Camping World what they claimed was done for the $1900. Makes me wonder if the other Camping World's around the nation treat their customers the same way. read more

We bought a new rockwood travel trailer and have to say it was the easiest, no hassle purchase we have experienced. Freddie was our salesman and he was very professional, answered all our questions and never did we feel pressure in purchasing the unit. From the moment we walked onto the lot, looked at several units (numerous times making sure we chose the one right for us) to finance, and then our walk through, to picking up the trailer we were treated with respect and professionalism.
