We stopped by to see some campers. When you arrive they want you to go inside and register to look at them. They actually ask for a I'd. So the lady behind the counter said everyone was busy. Didn't have a clue how long we would have to wait. So we asked where used campers were and she directed us to the area but said they are locked up. Kinda crazy when you just want to look. We did however find a few that were unlocked. Looked at a couple of motor homes. No prices on anything , another thing I don't like. When we were finally done we started to leave when the lady inside said she had someone to show us now. He was nice and took us back up to the motorhomes we wanted to know about. Used ones they list if any issues. Just wanted to see what was available. There is a few other places I want or check prices at. The salesman was suppose to get back to us right away, he did finally text like over a week after being there. Prices have sure changed with campers and motorhomes. Still looking for now. read more

We found a trailer we liked , went home to empty out our trade in trailer that we purchased from Camping World less than a year prior. Took our trailer down there and they told us that there was water damage that needed repaired. We told them that we have never seen a drop of water in the camper since we have owned it. Tried to say that the speckling in the paneling was the sign of water damage in the area. The whole camper is speckled paneling. I told them if it was damaged they sold it to us like that. It is all about trying to swindle you out of as much money as they possibly can. They were supposed to put a new faucet in the bathroom, put a used kitchen pull out faucet in there. We stopped here spontaneously because we could smell propane on the outside of our class B van. They took the van in and were able to find the leak and repair it while we waited. Mind you, we did not have an appointment. Everyone was friendly and professional! Bill Kimberly went out of his way to assure that our van was safe and we were taken care of. We are from Michigan, but will be back in the area over Thanksgiving. We have already booked our winterizing appointment with this group because they are so fantastic! I don't usually write reviews, but the level of incompetence and disregard I experienced deserves to be called out. The customer service here is absolutely deplorable!! From the start, when I purchased our camper in 2024, I was met with dismissive attitudes, endless transfers, and complete lack of accountability by the Staff at Camping World in Kodak Tennessee. No one seemed remotely interested in selling me a trailer, they only wanted to take my down payment money then sell me a horrible loan for the balance due. Despite the soft-pull on my credit they did to figure out which bank would make a loan, they went ahead and ran my credit 10 more times with other banks, only to end up selling me a horrible loan which resulted in my credit score tanking by 100+ points due to the outrageous number of unnecessary credit inquiries made. There were several things broken, non-functional, and not hooked up correctly in my camper. I took it to the Henderson, NC facility so they could make the necessary repairs under our warranty. I dropped our camper off last June and picked it up yesterday (8/28/25) yes, it took them that long to complete the work order! After I got the camper home, I started to clean it and discovered one of their employees used the toilet and did not flush it!!! I immediately contacted this facility & spoke to someone, explained the situation & how furious I was. I was promised an immediate call back from a General Manager, however I still have not heard from anyone! Customer service is supposed to assist customers -- not frustrate, ignore, and make them regret ever doing business here. If this is how they treat their customers, I shudder to think how many others have walked away equally disappointed. This company seriously needs to rethink how it trains (or even hires) its staff. Until they do, I would strongly caution anyone from wasting their time, money, or energy here. Go to the circus instead!! This was hands down the most infuriating, unprofessional experience I've ever had with a company. The "customer service" is a complete joke -- rude, dismissive, disgusting and utterly incapable of solving even the simplest problem(s). I was treated like an inconvenience instead of a customer. Calls were dropped, promises were broken, and every single interaction felt like I was being brushed off. I dropped my 2020 Jayco camper off at the Fletcher location mid April. It sat on the lot until JUNE when I insisted someone finally do *something* on the list of things I wanted/needed to be done on it. When they quoted me $10k to fix a leak from the awning into the front door I told them to forget about it (I paid $30k for the trailer in 2021...seems ridiculous to pay MORE for a leak than what the camper is probably worth!) and just fix the motor on the slide out. Over a MONTH of excuses on why they couldn't get it fix (wrong motor came in, trying to get it to go on the extended warranty, etc, etc, etc). It's finally home and I had asked them to wash it while they had it...it's filthy. After waiting three and a half months for them to replace a slide motor they couldn't even do the curtesy of washing the camper. Then I step into the camper...molding has come off and the camper smells like someone turned over a kerosene bottle or has squirted lithium grease all over it. I am suspicious that they never even replaced the motor and all they did is grease it! Of course all the batteries are dead and even my 20 mile trip home didn't even charge them. I honestly think when they told me what I owed that they were doing me a favor for not charging me full price (I have an extended warranty!!! All I should be charged is my deductible!). I will have to hook it up to power to see if the slide even works! I will NOT be using their service department ever again! I will be going a mile down the road to Miles RV and have them do any work from here on out! read more

Before I start this review I I had a few days to ponder my thoughts on this, I'm not the type that leaves a bad review or comments on bad service and people that knows me knows how reserved I am. Me and my wife was wanting to upgrade our camper to a destination roost 43, the reason for this is we have a property besides our home we stay at and that's where we keep our camper so budget wise instead of a mini cabin this would be perfect for us as well as in the budget. The reason we decided on camping world because we have purchased from them in the past and this would have been our third purchase and prior to this it has been wonderful so I thought the same process would be like before but boy was I ever wrong! Plus we like to keep things local even though they may be better deals to be had out of state. Before we inquired on this model and like anything else I do I know what I can afford I know our credit I know what stuff cost the trade-in I already know what it's valued at what a fair trade in amount would be so I don't go into this or anything else one I know what stuff cost and I don't like wasting nobody's time as well I've got a high regarded respect for people in business. So we started the process we found the model we wanted which ironically was a 2024 I've seen it there before passing by doing work and last year we actually looked at this same model because I had seen it driving by, but we was only looking at the time which we told them there we was planning to do something in 2025 we couldn't do it at the time because we had other obligations we had going on but we just wanted to look at it and make plans Fast forward to this week icontacted them and it took a few days and I was a no hurry, I told them let's go ahead and make a deal and give me the numbers on the finance length and everything which I already knew from our credit perspective and what lenders would lend us plus taxes and everything . I kept asking and it was finally sent to my wife so when I got home I looked it over. I expected some variances but it was absolutely beyond words I can describe. insane add on fees,charging for freight a 2nd time, 2024 model pushed as a 2025 model Low value trade in below wholesale auction . insane monthly payment. I did not want to assume anything so I went through the numbers and they didn't add up, thousands of dollars did not make sense where anything was going, its was like added ghost fees not stated but its like 2+2 is 4 but 2+2 eqauls 6 to give an example The payment amount was $500 higher. 20 percent interest when our rate is 7-8 percent when i checked before i started this process. During the conversation I kept asking for basic information like anybody else would it's like they're hiding something it's like when you ask a question for example term length and stuff like that interest rate it's silent. So I contacted a few other camping worlds and what aggravated me was they wanted your credit app and run financials before you even look at the camper? I honestly don't know what's going on with this company as a whole and other camping worlds? I had no idea how bad they do stuff until I started this processes over a review because I never read reviews or pay attention to stuff like that. This place is terrible, had my unit in for repairs-2 warranty repair and 2 I requested Shockingly the warranty repairs are no issue, the two items I requested and paid for have nothing but issues. 1. Side marker had wire pulled from inside it was caught on something, no big deal they bounce up and down the highway, but when i was informed it was complete I went to pick up and took 5 minutes to figure out it was complete, they had no idea why it didnt have power they swore it worked, took two weeks to get it fixed after I paid and had to ask about it multiple times. Second issue: I paid for a roof inspect and seal, you can see on the pictures taken less than a week later, I highly doubt they even went on the roof, so now I get to buy the stuff and do what I paid camping world to do. What makes me more upset is they have the audacity to tell me everything is QC checked when I asked why the light wasn't working, obviously they don't QC anything but your card being approved. read more

Everything needs improvement. The service department is incompetent. I bought a new 5th wheel. At delivery the door would rot close. They used a hammer to beat frame out of shape. We walked through and gave them a list of items that needed to be corrected. They agreed and said it would all be done. They would come to our camping site and fix it. After several calls they sent a trainee. He arrived and informed me the he was not skilled enough to complete most of the repairs. He recalibrated the auto level and left. After many more repairs an other tech came out. He did a butcher job on the wall he was supposed to repair. The next issue the slide cable snapped. It was 6th time the slide was operated. They "fixed" it, when I arrived home 560 miles. I opened the slide and the cable fell out. CW's answer was bring it back. The largest part of the original repair list has never been started. Several calls to CW corporate, got a new door, which my son and I installed. The last call to CW, I was told that the administrator for this would call me back, a year later no call. We are looking to purchase a 5th wheel trailer. They run as much as $85,000 for what we are looking at. I guess we aren't enough of a high roller to get their attention. This is not an isolated incident. When we were looking for our current trailer, we came by to see what they had, and were ignored that time too. Their CEO makes a big stink about people, process and product. He is obviously not teaching his employees what he preaches. Once again, we will not be purchasing anything from Camping World and will go to the private sector to spend our money. I wish someone in the company gave enough of a damn to respond to any of this negative feedback with a productive answer. ---------------------------------- So I get this "standard" response from Camping World that means nothing. Read most of the other one star reviews. They say the same thing over and over again. Email them with my issue? How do you get past being ignored in a retail store when you are looking to make a major purchase? There is a fundamental problem in this company that needs to be addressed a lot higher than "Good S" whoever that is supposed to be. What's funny is a company like this will be profitable. Stock will perform well. They are only selling high margin items. Everything else is special order, back order or unavailable. That way, there is no shelf space used, dollars expended unless the retail dollars to pay for the items come in FIRST. So, since there is a limited market of retail camper sales, unlike the plethora of car dealers, their customer abuse goes unchallenged. You can , as another reviewer said, travel to another nearby city. You will encounter Camping World there, and the very same poor treatment. That's great that there is "Good S" to defer your frustration on social media.. in person, they will probably give YOU more attention because you made a big stink. The majority don't. They just go away. And Camping Worlds sales margins will remain high with the sales they do make. In the supply chain business there is something called "lost sales". Car dealers are especially sensitive to this because they can lose the sale to a competitor or fellow franchisee. Camping World does not appear to care, due to their grip on the camper market. First, Bryan at Camping World matched the Internet price for the lift hardware (saving me hundreds!), and while the install took a few days they did an awesome job!! Justin Knight was the installer and let me tell you, he did a fantastic job welding this heavy duty motorcycle lift to my Tiffin Allegro Bus. Clean, solid, and looks great! I am very happy with my lift. I carry a 900-lb 2018 Honda Gold Wing DCT. This lift doesn't even strain hoisting that weight up to the 40" carry height. I can still flat-tow my 5,500-lb. Ford Explorer at the same time (using the tow bar extension). Highly recommend Camping World for their great service and installation. read more

The departments seem to work in silos. Sales and finance appear to operate fairly in sync but service and their receptionist have to many AFI's to mention. I got a 2020 Winnebago as my first rv. On the way from the dealership (10 min) the auto levelers alerts started going off. Long story long, took it in to get fixed, brought it home again and the alerts were not going off but the auto levelers did not work. Their service and customer service is in need of lots of customer service training. Stay away from there. Thanks for the comment S Good, but I've already had 2 weekends thrown away because of the unit I bought and your service department confirming the issue had been fixed. Only to get home after you team 'tested everything' to find the same issue persists. I've called your corporate team in Chicago and spent countless time waiting on hold waiting to speak with your team about the issue. The resolution offered was 'come in and hangout for a few hours and we may be able to fix it'. Not sure what middle age folks with kids and jobs have time to 'hang out for a few hours'. Would be nice if you or your team offered transport or something creative to lessen the burden of taking more time to address the issue that should have been addressed the first time. Would NEVER recommend this place! Firstly, we had SEVERAL items stolen from our rig while it was in their shop for repair. We live in our camper full-time and in a perfect world, we would have taken every single thing we own out of it, however that was not realistic. It was a huge mistake thinking we could trust the employees at Camping World to be decent humans and care for our rig. Secondly, after a week in the shop, we were told our slideout was fixed and ready for pickup. Once we got the rig back to our campground, slideout did NOT work. Ben did absolutely nothing to repair our trailer and instead kept it for a week collected payment and sent me on my way thinking everything was great. I don't know if all dealerships are equally bad (much like RV's), but this place is pitiful. Bought a new camper Saturday. Pulled it home and hooked it up and immediately discovered that the toilet is leaking. They have a mobile repair service and I insisted that they send someone out to fix it because it was their neglect in not hooking up to water and checking for leaks. They refused because they didn't have enough service techs. So now I have to disconnect everything, hook it up, drive it there and waste another day when they could drive 30 minutes and do the repairs in probably less than 30 minutes. Never again will I do business with these people. They're going to get an earful when I get there tomorrow. Ridiculous having to take a brand new camper in for repairs before you've camped in it the first time because someone is too lazy to hook up a hose and check for leaks. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! GETTING YOUR MONEY IS THE ONLY THING THEY CARE ABOUT! DEFINITELY NOT THE CUSTOMER! I would advise anyone who is going to buy a camper to look at another dealer than Camping World. I will say, my salesperson was wonderful to work with. The mobile service tech. (when they had one) was awesome as well. But, their service staff are terrible! I bought a 2020 Kodiak camper from them on 07/01/2020.I had a hitch system I wasn't familiar with and asked them how to hook it up. They said to go do the paperwork and they would show me. Instead, they hooked it all up and charged me $250.00 I have been living in it until I build my house on the property. The refrigerator went out late February this year. Called service, they advised it would cost me $165.00 to have someone look at it. they wanted me to bring the camper in and I told them that I live in it and cannot bring it in. They said that they had no mobile service tech anymore and that I would have to bring it in. I asked where was I supposed to sleep? Eventually, they sent a guy out who opened the door and put his hand in and said "Yep, it ain't working". and then stated that he didn't know how to get it out of the wall. The service rep called next day and said they would need it to get the warranty started and I'd have to bring the camper in. I stated again, "I am living in the camper and if I bring it to you, you WILL put me in a hotel of my choice, which will be on the Biltmore Estate and you Will feed me at the restaurant of my choice 3 times a day. They would not work with me on this and I said "OK, call a mobile tech from Spartanburg or TN to come do it then. Again, they refused. I ended up removing the refrigerator myself, drive it to the service department, and waited over a month to get the new one. It came on Friday 04/30/21. The service rep called me that it was in on 05/04/21. Again, I asked for someone to put it in since I was concerned over voiding the warranty. Again, I was refused. I even said I would call a service man to put it in if they would pay for it and was told "No". I was going to call Thom Johnson in Marion and found out they were owned by Camping World now. Bought a camper here on consignment. Camping World fixed and cleaned the unit up for the seller. They put "brand new" tires on it before selling it. After 3 blowouts in about 700 miles, we found out that Camping World's definition of "brand new" tires was 6 year-old tires which were made in China. Relieved that no one was hurt. Anything for $$, right? Could've put on reliable tires and charged $800 more for the unit. After a call yesterday to their home office, I was contacted today by Camping World in Hendersonville, NC regarding the tires. One of the managers stated the salesman said he never told either one of us that the unit we purchased on consignment through them, came in with completely worn tires and as a part of cleaning and getting the vehicle fixed up to sell (cleaning, new tv, DVD player, inspection along with replacing exterior compartment handles), Camping World replaced the tires with "brand new" tires. They did appear to be brand new, but were still 6 years old. We had 3 complete loss of tread blow-outs in around 500 miles. read more

When you buy a camper from the Asheville Camping World they talk about one of the perks is you can use their dump station for free. When you use it you find out their dump station is always filthy. Please see picture. But to be fair I have used the dump station at multiple Camping Worlds since and they are all filthy and sometimes hard to get to so I guess they are just living up to their company standards!!!!! read more

We bought a 2019 Montana 5th wheel in Feb 2019 they sold us extended warranty, GAP insurance .we also purchased paint protection at $3,995.00. My complaint is we finished the financing late in the day with the condition that camper had to be delivered the next day because we were building a enclosur/deck cover. I went in for a state inspection and a propane refill. i was charged $ 60 to replace a back up light bulb to pass inspection! I also asked to have a leak in a tire repaired. The tires were bought there but they can't fix a tire that has been leaking slowly since I bought the tires! Apparently they no longer do tires! This a major service and sales center locally. I was warned that they were awful but I learned a lesson. It seems to be a dealership without anyone that cares what is happening! My last trip there! read more
