We purchased a 2025 cougar fifth wheel from Camping World in Meridian, Idaho a couple of months ago. We took it out for a trial trip and we had several items that were not working, one major. We had planned to leave for a long trip in one month. It was looking like we might not get our new trailer back completely repaired for our trip. My husband spoke with the service manager, Andy, saying it was very important to us to have our new trailer for our trip that we've already paid and planned for. The manager along with Evan worked hard and got all the parts there and got it back to us a week before our trip. We want to thank you for fulfilling your promise. We bought a brand new 2022 Fuel F250 Toy Hauler from Camping World for over 60K. We have attempted to use it 3 times and two times it has had MAJOR potentially LIFE THREATENING problems. The second time we attempted to use it we filled the water tank. We were about ready to leave town and the water support bar broke off. If we were driving that could have been catastrophic. It spent a month and a half in the shop being repaired . We just got it back only to have the entire awning fall off. Again, what would have happened driving down the freeway when that happened. Camping World has terrible customer service and products. I will never EVER use them again! read more

Do not go to Camping World. Go somewhere else for your purchase and service. Bought a 2023 HW296 from Caldwell, ID, Camping World. Upon delivery, service rep performing breakdown walkthrough with me failed to instruct we needed to unbutton the top from inside near the slide and as a result the top was torn during breakdown in two spots. However, salesperson did not inform and tried to hide fact during breakdown. We timely communicated issue to Caldwell Camping World and they admitted damage and liability for report and planned path forward to remedy. Caldwell Camping World then set up a repair appointment at Camping World in Washington state where we reside and are now refusing to align with Camping World in Washington on repair estimate and will not authorize repair. What a hassle. Brand new unit, damaged on delivery and now need to consider all possible recourse options available. Do not go to Camping World. Go somewhere else for your purchase and service. read more

My daughter and her husband purchased a Camp Trailer after promising them if they have any problems just bring it in. First time out a major appliance didn't work, so they took it all the way over there just to be told they needed an appointment. No apologies for the inconvenience of it all or trying to get them in quickly. I wouldn't go here based on the troubles my daughter has had with this business. Her husband wants to sell the trailer now. There's no reason for me to email them as the damage has been done. The time to treat your customers like they matter isn't just from the sale day. Worst place EVER for purchasing an RV. Our 2022 Coleman has TWELVE...yep 12...repair orders and it is STILL not fixed! They had the trailer more than we have. Asked them to winterize it for us, they didn't and the hot water tank hose busted. They "fixed" it but now the flooring is wet. And just a warning to everyone...Idaho has a LEMON law. But you can't pursue it because the law goes by where the trailer is made...in this case, Indiana, which doesn't have a lemon law for RV's!!! So buyer beware!!!! read more

If you are a Veteran or a senior, both of which I am, don't expect a discount on service from this business. The General Manager, who is about as friendly as a lump of clay, informed me it is a "Nation wide policy." So I guess no one over 65 and/or served their country should use Camping World nationally. They mark up their parts and also charge $175.00 per flat rate hour for service. I don't think an $80.00 discount on a bill over $800.00 is too much, but that's just me. I HAVE NEVER WROTE A BAD REVIEW IN MY LIFE, BUT THIS HAS BEEN A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!!! We had been contemplating buying a trailer for years, we finally pulled the trigger last Summer. We have had nothing but problems with it since day one (only getting to use the camper twice, and one being taking it out with issues). Everything from warranty, to parts, to the weight of the trailer I could get with my truck was a lie. Mysteriously work orders never were made, and the ones they attempted to fix. My first experience was to have my Class A Landing gear repaired. After three months they said they didn't know how to repair it and suggested I take it to Camping World in Meridian. They did charge me for the parts. After Camping World fixed it, (took a total of 20 minutes, and $135.) I noticed things were missing, dark glasses, phone connectors. My bad. Just went back and asked if they had a part for my RV, Kwikee Stairs. They rudely asked what's the part number. I replied I don't know but I can help look it up, before I finished the sentence I was told "I cant help you" Went to Bish's RV in Meridian was greeted at the door, went to the parts counter and in 5 minutes had my part ordered and paid for. read more

My sister and her husband went in there in good faith to purchase a truck camper. They are a young couple and definitely were taken advantage of. Long story short they were told one price and ended up paying far more than they were initially quoted. Many expensive add ons later and amounts that the salesman was not crystal clear about. They want us to recheck credit when I can just get everything done with my bank and give them a check. They explained they rather do the credit check cause it gives them money from the credit union doing it that way. Well we will not step into that store ever again to attempt to buy a RV. Gander RV is the place to go for all things RV. We are out-of-towners that had a serious emergency en route to Oregon from Oklahoma. We called ahead, 90 minutes and Kelsey Johnston, service advisor, could not have been more helpful or accommodating. We arrived and did not have to wait at all. Tracy Johnson and Tyler Stacey made repairs our stairs quickly and efficiently, (Tyler even brought us cold water while we waited), and our fears and anxiety were alleviated when hey quickly finished the repair. Total time 45 min from arrival to departure. Out of 5 stars: efficiency 5, kindness 5, promptness 5, quality 5, professionalism 5. It was made very clear that my wife and I were just looking and did not plan on making purchase. The salesman was nice but became extremely pushy on making a sale when we made it known we were interested in a specific trailer. We were told that we could get a "smoking deal" with a bunch of add-ons but when it came down to putting it on paper they used the add-ons with the trailer price to try and tell us we were getting "x" amount off the trailer. A paper was forced in front of us to sign to "buy today" and we immediately walked out. We ended up going to another local dealership we felt more comfortable with and purchased the same exact trailer for an actual "smoking deal". read more

Matt Kane gave me the run around for 2 days and had me thinking I was being approved. They had us rush to put a deposit down. Even went as far as putting a for sale sign on the door and sending me a picture. Shaun in finance also made it sound like we would be approved and no news before Monday was good news. Fast forward to Monday and now Matt is avoiding calls and texts and hasn't gotten back with us, call finance to find out that the down wasn't enough(despite being told no problem)and Shaun is now incredibly condescending, lying and saying hard inquiries don't hurt you and being incredibly rude about the entire situation. In November 2021 we took our 30 ft camp trailer in for winterization. We had made an appointment but they were so over booked I had to sit and wait for a spot to pull in. I was finally directed to a spot and told I could wait inside. Quite some time went by And then the gu at the desk said there was a leak and they would have pull the toilet. We had not had any problems all summer so I was confused. I called my husband to let him know. He was also concerned so he called and talked to the guy. Long story short the guy ended up telling my husband there was no way to prove it and did we want it fixed or not. My hubby said nope because they wanted an additional $150 to pull the toilet. This spring we had a mobile repair service come out to find the leak and fix it. He went over our RV thoroughly and found no leaks. We have problems with camping world in the past but Gander used be decent. Now that they have changed hands they suck and make up lies to get more $. We will never go there again for anything. read more

CALDWELL LOCATION ARE SCAMMERS BIG TIME!!! My sales person was very nice, however dealing with the finance department is a nightmare!! Shaun in the Finance Department is one of the rudest men Ive ever had to deal with! After I came in and signed paperwork to see about financing, I wanted to see if I could get a better finance rate through my credit union. So I needed a copy of the terms/paperwork they quoted me. I called in and asked for my sales person. He said all my paperwork is now in finance and transferred me to Shaun. He asked what I needed it for and then proceeded to ask my why Im looking elsewhere and that if I do that, I lose my $1500 credit for financing with them. I said that is fine, please send me the paperwork, he said he doesn't have it and I need to speak with my sales rep. I told him that is who just transferred me to you. And I quote him exactly "I don't know why he pawned you off on me" Really now? I thought I was the customer here spending $25k with you, regardless of who I finance through?? I refused to do any more business with him and then only spoke with Chris the finance manager. Once I came in to sign paperwork and pick up my trailer, I got the complete run-around and HUUUGGE sales pitch on warranties. I told him no, I was not interested. He told me for only $10 more a month I could get a warranty that I actually was interested in and for $10 more a month, I thought it was worth it. Well then he pushes me out of his office to go to the front counter to get my "free" book of campsites and $25 gift card and said he will print out all the paperwork for me to sign in the meantime. The gal at the front counter then proceeds to walk around the counter and say she will get a basket and I said for what?? She said well Im going to show you around the store and explain all you will need for your new trailer. I said no thank you, I have no intentions of buying anything here or anywhere until Im home and get a list of what will be needed. So she STILL walked me around blabbing on and on for 30 minutes!!! Finally Chris comes up to me with all the paperwork and has me sign everything very quickly. I trusted him as to the terms of the loan he had already went over with me and had on paperwork I saw in his office. Bad mistake. There was a reason they push me out of the office and have the gal "distract" me for 30 minutes. They know you are ready to get out of there by that time. The contract was wrong!! He added on another 2 years to my contract due to the warranty. He NEVER told me it would add on 2 more years of financing!!! He only told me it would be $10 more a month. And the contract had a bigger finance rate than what he told me. I called and said this is not what I agreed to, so he did have me come back in and reduced my payments and interest rate, but I still had to have the additional 2 years added on. They are scammers big time!!! Then a few weeks later I get to the DMV to get it registered, wait an hour only to get up to the window with my entire package of paperwork they gave me, to be told the pink slip I need is not there. So the gal at the DMV was super nice and just called over to Camping World and spoke with Shaun to see if he can fax it over so that I would not have to wait again. She said he was very rude and acted put out. She said he told her they have been trying to get a hold of me and has it on his desk but cannot fax it because I have to sign it!!! Their mistake so why was he so rude!!! And if they had been trying to reach me, would I have waited at the DMV for over an hour?? I would NOT recommend doing business with Camping World in Caldwell. They are very deceitful, if you do, read over the paperwork VERY, VERY carefully before signing anything and be expected to be there 3 hours for all their ridiculous sales pitches!!! read more

I've never experienced better costumer service from any dealership of any kind. Almost every question I had they had an answer for; which was impressive because I had purchased an older rv. Their sales team is great and I had a phenomenal buying experience from Frank. He did an amazing job helping me find what I was looking for and couldn't have expected any more out of any of their staff. Truly above and beyond. Their service team made sure I could get my rv off the lot safely as well inform me with what I needed to do within 30 days of purchase to avoid any trouble. I couldn't have picked a better place to buy my first rv and have absolutely no complaints throughout the entire process. What's even better is they have almost everything you will need in their shop to help get you started. 110% I will be buying my next rv here, whenever that might be. read more

Horrible customer service. I will not be bringing my business back to Camping world. For several days I attempted to get a part number from my RV to order. I spoke with both the parts and service department who bounced me back and forth and neither wanted to help. Both said it's the other departments job. I asked to speak with a manager at 3pm and was told he is at lunch. I asked to speak with the team lead who I could hear in the background on the phone. They sent me to his message system instead of speaking with me. Camping world claims to want to put customers first but actions speak louder than words. I urge anyone wanting to use there service depart to look elsewhere. read more

We had a really bad experience there earlier this year. We came to look at a specific camping trailer that we had seen at another dealership (online, about an hour and a half away). We knew the other dealership had it priced about $2000 cheaper than Gander but wanted to see it in person before deciding to drive out there. The salesman at Gander showed it to us, and without prompting, said they could match another dealership's price. We asked several questions about this and he confirmed they could price match. He even wrote the lower price on the brochure for the trailer. We went home to think it over for an hour and called him back to tell him we were ready to go for it. However in the meantime he said he'd talked to the dealership and said that their price online was not what they were actually selling it for. He tried to convince us they were selling it for $6000 more than it was showing online! My husband had talked to that dealership to see if there were any hidden fees and they said absolutely not, the advertised price is it, not including sales tax. I told the salesman he had promised us a certain price, and to go talk to his manager to see what he could do. He called back shortly thereafter with their "best" price, which was a little less than $2000 more than they'd originally said they'd sell it to us. When I pushed back saying that was too much, he said "Really, what's $2000?" I'll tell you what it is, it's $2000!! He thought he could do a bait and switch on us but it didn't work because we walked away. Later in the week, we sent an email to the manager asking for him to call or write us back to discuss our poor experience, and we never heard back. I can only assume that poor communication and not standing by your word are standard practice for this dealership, and would never shop there again. read more
