There are some nice walkways to lookouts over the ocean and the marsh, and also a bike path that leads to Nauset. It can be a bit buggy on those walkways due to the marsh just fyi. There's tons of accessible parking. In fact it's only accessible and resident parking available at the lot right by the beach. My only complaint is that while there's lots of accessible parking, the lot is pretty far away from the entrance to the beach. As someone who can walk, but not for longer distances without a break, it's a bit frustrating. I wish there was at least a drop off point, but there's only a sign that reads "no drop offs at anytime. I've read they have beach wheelchairs in season, but there were none available at the time I was there.

Unfortunately, this year was to cold to swim. We had swam last year and it was great! There is a Supermarket across the street and the beach not far at all. The motel provides an informative binder. The town center is actually within walking distance for most people about 1/4 to 1/2 miles away. Becareful though, the road in front of the property, at the traffic lights gets very busy. We witnessed a bad car accident while waiting to cross the street, the 1st year. A Continental Breakfast with delicious homemade muffins is served every morning. To be totally transparent and give a 100% honest review these next things were a few minor issues that only happened our last visit. The water pressure in the shower was very slow. No shower liner, (not the problem) the fabric curtian got soaking wet and wet the whole floor, causing a slipping hazzard. The soap and shampoo/conditioners weren't filled. We were supposed to be given a second key that was never dropped off. Had the T.V. shut off at about 10pm while we were watching, out of nowhere. I called the office to let the staff know and got a NOT my problem response, that I wasn't excepting. This year we had tried to book 2 days again, but only one was available. We decide to take the 1 night and pay more then we would have elsewhere. No sure about next year.

Like many bay beaches at low tide you might have to walk out half a mile to get to water up to your waist, but at least the water will likely be warm and calm. It's better at high tide. Kids will like the tidal pools at low tide but First Encounter nearby is better for that. Its usually quiet as the parking lot is very small and requires a sticker in the summer. If you live or rent in the area maybe it's worth going but I wouldn't drive too far to come here.

Located at the very end of Kingsbury Beach Road on the bay side of the Cape in North Eastham, it is unassuming and super peaceful. The ocean side beaches tend to fill up regardless of the day and time of year, but the bay beaches are, in my opinion, better not only because less people frequent them, but also because there is more to see and do. Go at low tide when the tide pools form and you will have your kids occupied until the tide starts rolling back in. There are signs posted that state dogs are not allowed on the beach, but in the early mornings and during the off season (which starts the last weekend in August), there are lots of dogs running on the sand looking oh so happy. Makes me want to go back and bring my dogs. And possibly the best part of being on a quiet beach on the bay side is the water! Don't get me wrong, it's still frigid, but it warms up enough that you won't feel like you are about to get hit with a cold case of hypothermia (no pun intended).

I love when the tide is out, you feel like you can walk forever until you get to the deep ocean water. Boats are anchored out in the water from the beach. Cute beach houses overlook the beach from above. Wooden stair access to the beach from the parking lot. Parking fees apply during summer season. Port a potty set up in parking lot during the summer. Keep an ear out for the ice cream trucks making their rounds, so bring a few dollars to the beach with you. Go back in the evening, it's a great place to watch the sunset. The beach we hang out at when visiting the area.
