Best car buying experience ever! I've bought numerous cars over the years but have never enjoyed the buying process until now. From the moment I walked in every staff member I interacted with was patient, helpful and friendly. Previous car buying experiences always left me feeling as if I was being sold a car that someone wanted to sell me. At Campbell Ford I found a sales person that went out of his way to find a car that I would love. Joe Corda is that sales person. Joe took the time to listen to what I did and didn't want in a car. I don't care about fancy tech. I prefer to drive a car rather than have tech that does most of the work for me. The feel of the drive and connection to the car is where it's at for me. Joe understood where I was coming from. His knowledge of the tech made it easy to understand what tech I would need to work with and how to use it. He also turned off all the bits that take the fun out of driving. In short he made sure my car tech was customized to my needs while eliminating the frustration and time it would have taken me to do it myself. Joe was also patient in exploring and providing options in regards to leasing vs buying as well as all other aspects in pricing. Nicky in finance was also super patient and left me the time and space I need to decide on whether I wanted to include rust proofing, a maintenance package and/or an extended warranty. I greatly appreciated never feeling pressured in any way. The exemplary customer service made my car buying experience not only stress free but downright fun! Hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had. If you want to have your service appointments scheduled for 6 months from now and then just have it moved further out, you have come to the right place. I tried to get them to fix a security recall I had on my clutch for over a year to no avail. Just scheduling my first appointment was impossible. The service representative Allison Kearney was impossible to deal with. She didn't answer my emails or my calls on the first try, only when I escalated the issues. After finally scheduling my first appointment, I was told that I needed to bring my vehicle in for an inspection so they could order the parts. They kept my car for the day, inspected it, and then scheduled an appointment to have the clutch fixed and my brake fluid hose fixed a month from then. After bringing in my car, they let me know that the brake fluid hose was fixed but that I will have to come back to have the clutch fixed because they have one employee that works on manual transmissions and he is too busy changing tires on cop cars. They said they would have to schedule my appointment 5 months from then. When I said that it was a security recall, she answered with "well you've been driving with it this far". The most unprofessional comment I had ever heard until they topped themselves later on. Her colleague Dwayne then joined in and told me that it was the only way. He also mentioned that it could take more than a day so that I should call a week in advance to ensure that they could get me a rental car. I wait the 4 months and 3 weeks and give Allison a call to lock down the rental car a week in advance. She lets me know that I have to call a day in advance, not a week. I oblige and I call in the morning, a day in advance. She lets me know that I have to call at the end of the day, not in the morning. When I call at the end of the day, she lets me know that she cannot get me a rental car. I can still drop my car off for my service appointment, I just will not have a car for an undetermined amount of time. At this point I have had enough and I let her know that I was told to call a week in advance to ENSURE I would have a rental. She then tells me she will try another rental place and will call me back. Half an hour later, I get a phone call from Dwayne. He immediately says that we have to push back my service appointment because they have to order the part. I say "How did we go from me not having a rental to having to push my service appointment AGAIN?". He says that normally, cars are brought in for inspection before ordering the parts so if I came in for my appointment I would just be "pissed off anyway". I let him know that my car has already been inspected and that the part should have been ordered months ago. He says that they only have one person that works on manual transmissions and that he's working on cop cars... The same excuse as last time. I told him that the parts should have already been ordered, so what kind of assurance do I have that if the appointment is moved back yet again, that the parts will be ordered? He said "That's life buddy, nothing is guaranteed. If the guy that works on the transmissions dies tomorrow, we're all fucked". At this point I cannot believe what I am hearing over the phone. You can't guarantee that you can perform a service on an appointment that has been rescheduled 4 times over a year? And now you are insinuating that your employee can die? Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Campbell Ford the worst customer experience I have ever had with service After bringing in my f150 for a recall. the very next time i go to use it, it would not start, the battery was dead, the caps were blown off, it would not take a charge. i had to have it towed back to the dealer. I have owned this truck new for two years with no issues, no problems. until i went for the recall. they indicated there were no issues, they replaced the battery and said it was good to go. the battery now is never more than 12.4 volts. i charged the battery fully and it still draws down to 12.4 volts. A new battery should be a minimum of 12.7 volts, ask any battery dealer. i called the dealer back, they said as far as they are concerned the repairs have been done, and the low battery is my opinion not theirs and it does not matter. read more

Left my new truck at Campbell Ford for a mandatory recall. When I came to get it, there was over $5K of damage to it. It had been hit by a Campbell Ford employee on Steve Tranmer's team. Campbell Ford didn't tell me this. I only learned about after filing a hit and run with Ottawa Police Service - Service de police d'Ottawa So after Steve finally came clean under the duress of a criminal charge (Ontario Highway Act s200 Failure to Report), all I needed was the driver's information to complete the police report and sort out the insurance claim. After asking in writing 3 times with no response. Nothing. I cc'd Gord Hodinott, the President just to make sure he was aware of the questionable practices taking place within his organization (in fairness to him and the employees at Campbell Ford). Every single part of this story is 100% true... unbelievable but totally true. I am hoping now that, without anyone at Campbell Ford advocating on my behalf, others become aware of this behavior. read more

Had my brand new Mustang, under warranty and purchased from them to be towed to them because the battery was out of juice and I wanted to have the oil change done at the same time. They wanted to charge me 200 dollars for diagnostic fee to check a car still under warranty....I was told over the phone to come and boost my car from the lot or pay the ransom fee- only upon my insistence the oil job was done. After I picked up the car the light engine sign was on. I promptly drove it to another dealer and they took care of me at no cost. Lesley the bully service advisor must have been having a bad day, they lost my business, no matter how small... Worst customer service approach I have encountered in a long while, buyer be ware. read more

Left over 4 messages with the Service department to call me back. Been 2 weeks now. Still waiting. Will go to another Ford Dealer.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. WORST Customer Service EVER! Also sales guy lied to me when he sold me the extended warranty. I was told it covered ALL non-wear and tear items. I paid $4000 for the warranty, another almost $500 in taxes on the warranty, and another almost $500 to finance the warranty. The first time I took the car in for work under the extended warranty, I was told the strut mount bearings wasn't covered. Then to make things worse, I was charged $100 for a diagnostic fee (in which they drove the car for 15 minutes). I was also told that there was a $100 deductible per visit for warranty work, but was charged $100 for each item they looked at. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM CAMPBELL FORD, and if you know someone who is planning to, have them read some of the online reviews for this dealership, and then have an intervention or SLAP them straight. Called Ford Canada, who told me that they are aware that dealers lie to customers to sell the extended warranty, since the dealer gets the money paid for the extended warranty. Also filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, and I suggest anyone who gets lied to and mistreated do the same. I'm also filing a BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU complaint, and if you were lied to or received bad customer service, I suggest you do the same. Then when I asked for a rental vehicle (which is guaranteed during extended warranty repairs) while they fixed my A/C issue, which was under warranty, they told me they called the rental car company, and that I could not get a rental car because they did not have any Ford cars to rent. They had lots of cars, just not any Fords! I was NEVER told of this restriction either when I bought the extended warranty! Who cares if the rental car is a Ford? The idea of customer service, after paying almost $5000 for an extended warranty is to ensure the customer has a vehicle to drive while the car is being repaired!!!!! I'm also filing a complaint with the Ontario Government's department of "Government and Consumer Services". I suggest that all disgruntled, lied to, and mistreated customers do the same. It's one way to have business like these dealt with accordingly. read more

I'm from Toronto but was at a conference in downtown Ottawa last august. On the drive to Ottawa, my 2009 Flex suspension started making some terrible noise. They took my car the next day. Staff were friendly, and a great shuttle service took me back to my hotel after I dropped the car off. The next day, they called to let me know what the problem was and what the cost would be. They also had recommendations for some additional work. They called me to let me know when the car was ready. Shuttle service picked me up from the hotel. When I arrived to pick up the car, it was ready and waiting in the parking lot. Cost was exactly what they told me it would be over the phone. It wasn't cheap, but the work was done well, and I returned to Toronto with no further problems. The only thing I would recommend would be more signs at the service entrance. When I walked through the door, there were about 4 or 5 desks lined up in what appeared to be a wide corridor. Only one desk was occupied at the time, and that person was on the phone. I wasn't sure I was in the right place, and there was no one else around for a few minutes. read more

i had a very bad experience at Campbell Ford. I had agreed to a price with the salesman I was dealing with. I was ready to purchase the car when the salesman said he had to confirm the price with the manager. He came back and said that he had made a mistake and I would have to pay an additional $300! I can't think of any industry where the customer has to pay for a salesman's mistake. If I had known the final price I would have never bothered coming in and doing the test drive. I've heard about these deceptive practices before but I never expected it from a well know dealership like Campbell Ford. Not only did they lose a sale on that day but they lost any potential sales I will make in the future. Not just myself but my direct and extended family. Hi, my name is Daniel. My insurance (Cooporators) had my 2014 VW Tiguan to be fix at Campbell Ford 1500 Carling Ave, Ottawa, after I had an accident in Montreal. They charged my insurance almost 11000 dollars. I hit the median curb and had minor damage to the front driver side suspension, tire and rim were changed, both side air bags deployed. I had no problem with the charges and 3 weeks repair time, I understood their situation. But, they postponed releasing the car to the next day, everyday, for a week, with different excuses. When I went to pick it up (Thursday, July 30th, 2015), I asked to take it for a test drive as it seems they were having trouble repairing it by the delays. Their Auto Fix manager, Chris, denied unless I pay the deductible first and had accused me of leaving and never coming back to pay the deductible, while they have all my personal and insurance information with them. Problems: 1- When I asked to see the manager, he (Chris) approached me by saying "what?" rudely. 2- Chris said "I see people like you here, everyday, I cant let you test drive it before you pay". 3- Using friendly manner, not with a rude or mad tone, I explained I would like to make sure it was repaired properly since the delays made it seem like they were having trouble repairing it properly, and that i "I dont give a f*** about the money" with a friendly manner. He aggressively interrupted me and replied " SIR, do not raise your voice or I know what to do" even though i was speaking very frankly and normally. I stopped arguing with him at this point and payed the deductible and left, there was no point to carry on the conversation since he had no sense of customer service what-so-ever. I was not even trying to express any kind of frustration that they have caused, and I have all my friends witnessing this frustration within the past week that Campbell Ford has being delaying. read more

The staff understand how particular I am about my vehicle and I receive great service. I can talk to the techs directly if I need to and get clear, honest answers. The coordination between the Part Dept and Service is marvelous. Everyone I deal with is courteous, friendly and professional. I've been to other Ford Service Depts, but Campbell's is the best and has all my business. read more
