I was using this library to do research on my book that I was working on since 2018, then on a second book since November 2021. With all of the kids being so disruptively loud in this library, it makes thinking in what is supposed to be a quiet area non-existent. They definitely should have put that play area over in the Newport library, like the other person said in their review here. I have been down at the Newport library, and they do not use the bottom two meeting areas that often and the larger of the two meeting areas downstairs at the Newport branch would have been much better suited for that play area that the Cold Spri branch has in it currently.

I would guess very few Yelp Reviews are done on a post office and even more would be a 5 star…read morerating. I had such an experience at a particular post office in Alexandria KY. The Fred Factor was a book written about a mailman who gave excellent customer service. I met a "Fred" in Alexandria, KY. There is one guy working hard to meet a plethora of needs for each and every customer. Many older individuals like myself need a lot of attention and this gentleman never seems to get frustrated and yet keeps the line moving. This gentleman also has a way with people as to not make them feel stupid. I have written several books on customer service and can readily identify trained professionals. These individuals are quite common at Disney Southwest, and even Chickfilla. I might just expect such service at these locations, however to receive such service early in the morning when I was covered in paint at a post office located in a strip mall was highly unexpected. The gentleman circled the barcode at the bottom of the receipt as I had to look like the last person who might later scan and fill out a customer service survey. I have to admit I was a little surprised that our U. S. Post Office even cares what I think about their service. The questions were also very good. On this day it is safe to say there were positive surprises for both sides. Besides filling out their survey, I also have my Yelp Elite Badge! I can only hope that the post office follows up with this young man running the show in Alexandria KY as he has unlimited potential. I truly hope ge gets acknowledged by leadership.

They do NOT answer their phone when you try to call them with a problem. I often receive large…read morepackages in the large mail box in our kiosk. The locks OFTEN DO NOT open the mail box with the key provided. I've reported this before and nothing seems to have been done to fix the problem.

I use to enjoy going to this library, because it was quiet and I didn't have to worry about being…read morebothered by the staff. After yesterday, I don't feel safe there at this branch any more. I was using the study room to work on some research that I was doing for something that I'm currently working on for myself, (which the room is free, if it is available/not reserved when you want to use it). When I came out of the study room, because I had a library book that I was done using and wanted to return it back to the library. As I was walking over to where you can return books, these two guys (one of which I know works at a different branch of the county library system) and another guy talked to me in such a way that I felt like they were mocking me or even making fun of me for using the study room at all. It wasn't like I was disturbing anybody while I was using the study room at all -- I just needed a bigger table to work at, (because I wanted more space to use both my lap top AND my large binders, due to me doing some research and having hard copies that take up some space on a table). The way that the second guy was asking me how I enjoyed using the study room, I took it to mean that he wanted me to immediately get out of the room and out of the building entirely, which I came right out and asked him if that was what he was implying to me. The guy responded that he didn't want me to leave, but where he and the other guy were laughing at me for being in the study room and quietly working on my research in there, it made me feel unsafe and unwelcome. I quickly cleaned up my stuff from inside the study room shortly thereafter and left to head home, feeling quite unhappy and almost violated by those two guys.

Goodness gracious, this fine crew was friendly, informative, and took time to show mini future firefighters the equipment and hoses used to banish great balls of fire. They happily posed for photos in their crisp navy blue firefighter uniforms with black boots, shiny dark shades, trim, fit...what was I reviewing again? Oh yes, the Central Campbell blazing fire department.
