Well, my experience with Camp Tamarack goes back to the 70s when I was a sixth grade student at University Hills elementary school. I have been trying to remember the name and finally did! Not coming from a 'camping family ', this is one of the greatest times in school! They took us for a midnight walk on the lake as it was winter to spot owls! It was fantastic! Happy to see they are still killing it! Keep up the great work! I doubt today's kids really care about outdoor activities anymore. Keep nature ALIVE! read more

I will always be eternally grateful to Camp Tamarack!! My son has severe food allergies and he had never been able to attend an overnight camp before because most camps can't accommodate his needs. My son's fifth grade camp was held here and the amazing staff went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and well fed. The menu was so allergy friendly that he was able to have much of the same menu as his peers which is a VERY big deal to kids like my son. When he came home, he literally spent a half hour detailing everything he ate and how wonderful everything was and how staff were always there with him to make sure his choices were safe. It literally brought tears to my eyes that for once he could have such a normal experience. When he wasn't eating :) , he absolutely loved the outdoor activities which really fostered teamwork among the kids and gave him memories for a lifetime. Thank you Camp Tamarack!!! read more
