Great state park. Could use some more doggie bags and trash cans along the trail - but ultimately it's a gorgeous, clean park with clear cut signs of where to park. We had an easy time navigating it! You do have to pay to go to this national park though, before you enter. It's not egregious, but unfortunately I forget how much it is. They have a visitors pass & a pass for state residents as well. The trail is clean and the water and views are gorgeous. I would highly recommend stopping by!

This place is great. I went Morel hunting today with some buddies and though we were in successful; we did not fail. We found a wonderful place to visit in the summer months with the kids. The have rustic camping sites and a nice beach. The boat launch is old, but it works.

one night pit stop, very pretty area

Seven Lakes has beautiful hiking trails. I enjoy the trails all four seasons. The hike around Big Seven Lake is my favorite.

The park looked good except there was tons of goose poop on the beach and they had to close it cause of bacteria

Really nice park in metro Detroit - there's something for everyone here. In the front, there's…read moreplenty of play structures/areas for kids of all ages. There's also a covered pavilion and lots of benches/picnic tables throughout. Dogs are allowed on leashes so you can include the whole family - even the fur baby. There is also a nice pond and water feature to walk around, and nature trails in the back. They have some fun lawn games to play near the pond too. One trail has a bridge that connects all the way to the green space on the other side of the Clinton River. My personal favorite is the pond with turtles that you can find lounging on logs on sunny days. There's even a kayak launch and other access points into the Clinton River. Tons of wildlife to view - we've seen plenty of deer, chipmunks, squirrels, turtles and cool birds. There is on-site paid parking (and free overflow across the street) but otherwise the park is free, which is really nice. I always see workers riding around in a golf cart emptying trash, making sure the park is clean. They even have bathrooms and a kona ice truck that I've seen on weekends. What more could you want?

There are two entrances to the falls. I would suggest go to the Branch Road entrance is closer to the falls. The one located near Bray Road is more area for the fishing. The fall is cascading down the step like stepping stone which match the name of the attraction. I like it multiple falls section which make it unique. It has several photo spot. Great to have it.

Where we parked there was a path to get to the falls. They are not really falls, just a man made dam with concrete steps on several levels to check out the water. I could see people were able to have canoes on the lake and there was a beach and playground off to the distance on the other side. Another part of the park maybe? A lot of people were walking around with their kids or come go fishing. So it was a nice family area. I realize I am more of a resort pool with a lazy river girly, so I am not in love with the many swarms of gnats but that is me. If you are outdoorsy, this is a nice place to visit. Paired with Huckleberry railroad would be perfect.
