The teachers are so gentle with the children . Such a loving place . I will say children are treated good here , strict on staff so rules will not be broken at this center and I love this. I trust the staff with my child here and I have seen the postive impact the center has made on my daughter and myself, they really pure their soul into the children and staff. They do treat the kids well and I see staff that really love and adore the kids so that is important . They just need some changes and I'm sure over time they will bc again with new management it's changing slowly in an amazing way - I so love how they have changed the rooms and so good on the curriculum . Our little one is crawling and beginning to want to walk, so he will be moving to the First Steps room in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, our experience raised several ongoing concerns. There were multiple instances where our child was picked up extremely dirty, with dried mucus left on her face to the point it made us question how closely basic hygiene needs were being monitored throughout the day. Additionally, water cups were not being properly cleaned. On more than one occasion, we opened them at home and were met with a strong, unpleasant odor resembling spoiled milk. Another major disappointment was the lack of support with potty training. Initially, staff seemed encouraging, but once they were informed how frequently our child needed to use the restroom during the training process, the support quickly stopped. We were told they only take children every two hours--which is not how potty training works, especially in the early stages when consistency and responsiveness are critical. Because of this, we ultimately had to pause potty training altogether, which was incredibly frustrating. I also feel it's important to mention concerns regarding staff professionalism. The attire we observed--such as spaghetti strap tops, very tight clothing, and extremely short shorts--did not reflect what I would expect in a childcare setting. When caring for young children, there should be a higher standard of professionalism, both in conduct and presentation. Overall, while the initial friendliness is appreciated, consistency in care, cleanliness, and professionalism is essential--and unfortunately, that was not our experience.

One of the best parts has always been watching the kids grow--from their first days in early childhood classrooms all the way to getting ready for kindergarten. It's a warm, caring environment where the staff really know the children and put in the effort every day to make learning fun and meaningful. You can tell the kids feel safe here, and that makes all the difference. I've stayed here for so long because it never felt like "just a job." It's been a community. My daughter is now entering the young 5's and she and I are both excited for this next journey. The teachers have told me she will be learning how to use computer skills, learning spanish, and reading and writing. She will also begin learning math. The owner of SFMB, Nanci, has been extremely supportive to me and my family, and has gone above and beyond what I would have ever expected from an owner of any business.
