This location is one of many around the country responsible for giving young players the skills they need to play to the best of their ability. From the organization's home page, http://5starcamp.net/, "More than 400 Five-Star participants have played in the NBA, this includes Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Vince Carter, Alonzo Mourning, Grant Hill, Elton Brand, Rip Hamilton, Ron Artest, Patrick Ewing, Moses Malone, Ben Gordon, JR Smith, Kevin Martin, Chris Paul, Raymond Felton, David West, Jarrett Jack, Steve Blake, David Lee,Kevin Durant as well as countless other current players and 21 players drafted in the 2009 NBA draft."

This "camp" is the epitome of how not to teach basketball In summary -kids of vastly different age groups and skill levels are thrown together (one group of 10 years old and younger, and one group of 11 years old and older) -the camp consists almost exclusively of scrimmaging that is dominanted by the oldest players -younger and less skilled players get little playing time on the overcrowded teams, and when they play they learn nothing since they are smothered by the older players -there is almost no teaching at all at any time, along with a high ratio of players to "coaches." It is sad that an apparently once well run camp has become what it is today. It deserves only a single star, but most of those reviews are hidden. I would hate for a child to attend this camp expecting to learn or improve in any way because the true reviews are kept out of view.
