As an employee of the Little School (6mo-5 years), I get to nurture and mold the youngest of the students on campus. My Toddler class loves to ride in the buggies around campus, say hello to students & staff, as well as enjoy the many views and sounds that they encounter along the way. Going into 3rd grade, with the same teacher my daughter had in 1st and 2nd grade, she was anticipating the classes and activities that are attributed annually to the 3rd grade. Yes, she will have woodwork. Yes, her class will play traditionally 3rd-grade roles in the fall festival. Yes, her class will go on the weeklong farm trip to New York. In the curriculum, Waldorf wrote-in these three and dozens of other activities that are predictable. That predictability creates student anticipation, participation and success.

I can honestly say I brag more about my High School then I do my college loyalties. The teachers are personable and of high caliber, the facilities are some of the best and for the cost of a private education in the mid Atlantic, you are getting an extreme value. I grew up in Harford County and didn't grow up around the most diverse community and what I experienced in my 4 years there has carried me through to success both personally and professionally that I want my children to experience in the near future. Not just as a graduate of the school but as a leader of people and someone who has a passion for improving and enriching people's lives. If you want your son to get started in the right direction before college this is an investment that can never have a value placed on it.

I've heard my classmates assert that they wished they had gone to school at the present day BL, because the campus is so gorgeous now. One aspect of Boys Latin that has not changed is its nurturing environment. Teachers and administrators exude that attribute. Some independent schools claim to have a nurturing environment, but BL really does. Values and tradition are also imortant traits at Boys' Latin. BL began a boarding component several years ago, and it has been a good addition to an already fine program. Academics and athletics are top notch.
