Right off the bat, Camp Out was able to answer all the questions I had about tonneau covers for my truck. They had the brand I was looking for, as well as many other brands, and they were all on display for me to test out. I opted for the extra 5-year warranty on top of the already offered 5-year warranty since my cover had vinyl on it and I even paid for installation and assembly since they said they'd be able to take care of any warranty issues if I did it all with them. What's a couple hundred bucks compared to installation done right and warrantied? To make it even better, they matched the manufacturer's price on their website and offered a military discount. The only downside was that they charged for debit/credit card (it's clearly displayed in their store) so if you were hoping to get the card points, forget it because cash is king here. Their price for labor by the hour is also clearly displayed in their store. We ran into a couple of issues (I was originally charged for the wrong cover but I noticed it before leaving so we were able to fix that; the manufacturer sent the wrong item, so the install date was pushed back; limited appointments on the new date; misunderstanding of how long the appointment would take; and a miscommunication on the warranty services), however, after speaking with the owner, Chris, we were able to get it all figured out and squared away. The fact that Chris was willing to go above and beyond to remedy the issues made all the difference. I might need to take it in for adjustments (they were able to keep my chase light brackets on but that could have caused a slight misalignment) but I have no doubt they'll fix that too. Today to my surprise Tony acted like we never talked when in fact I called him 3 times on his cell, the last time yesterday to confirm the appointment! I dropped off my F-350 yesterday and called him to inform him it was there already so he could start promptly at 8:30 today. I had to Uber back home $45 then today back there to get my truck! Another $51 He got indignant insulting and profane when I called him on his bullshit ! He had made multiple appointments and didn't have the manpower is the reality, so he makes up bullshit to cover his ass! Avoid this place! It's a pig sty inside and his employees look like they just got out of prison ! He quoted me 5 hours to unbolt a hitch and bolt it to another truck! Purchased an ARE utility shell for my business through them. Was told it's a complete custom build to perfectly fit my vehicle. The ordering process was smooth, easy and exciting. Showed up 3 weeks before the estimated date. Once I showed up for the installation that was scheduled a week prior, the person who sold me the shell is also the installer. He wasn't having a good day and let everyone know that. The entire 4 hours it took him to install the shell he complained, cursed and rushed on the entire project. He also drilled my floorboard when he didn't have to. Once he was finished he proceeded to tell me that he had to shim the camper because it didn't fit properly. He also scratched the cab lowering the shell down with the forklift. Now he has to order a part so my automatic locks work properly. Which I've heard nothing about. So now that he shimmed the shell, it's no longer sealed and allows water to get all over my equipment. The owner that was present didn't bother to see what the issue was as I was complaining to him about drilling my $30k truck. Overall the experience was absolutely terrible. Bad both on ARE for crappy product and Camp Out for the unprofessionalism. I'll be more than happy to edit this once the issue is resolved, but have had 0 luck with someone reaching out to me. read more

I needed a gooseneck ball for an Anderson 5th wheel hitch. Admittedly, I didn't know how much they cost and I needed it that day because I was borrowing a friend's hitch. Anthony charged me $179 for a Husky gooseneck ball. I found it on Husky's own website for about $110. I also found it on Walmarts website for $66. Don't shop here unless you're desperate, and in a bind and you have absolutely no other option. I'll never shop here again. Total rip off. read more

I needed a cover for my truck I was searching for a specific Leer model. I happen to find the item on Amazon but I want to see if anyone locally had it in stock. I called a few location, most people were out of stock or didn't answer. When I called Camp out they had the cover in stock their price was higher than the Amazon listing. I let them know that Amazon had the item for less. Chris was able to actually give me a better price than was less then Amazon!! So I let him know I'd been in shortly. Upon arrival was greeted by Chris Jr. he was very nice and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of my questions. This business is family owned and the service was amazing. Everyone was great and very helpful. The transaction was very easy and they were able to load it up into my truck for me. This is the place to come to when you are in a bind. I needed to take a trailer from our office to freeman for a trade show we where exhibiting at to find out that somebody stole the hit setup that would attach to the truck. I went to 5 different RV places to be told it would be special order and would take weeks. The last store I went to mentioned I should check this place out because they have everything - when I walked in I immediately was approached by Tony who asked if I needed help. I had high hopes, both with Camp Out and A.R.E. I'm very disappointed with my experience here at Camp Out. I ordered an A.R.E. MX series cap in January for my Tacoma. It took over 5 weeks for it to arrive and be installed...at least I thought. I arrived to my appointment to find out someone had called in sick and the one guy working was therefore swamped. So, it took almost 3 hours. After the wait, I was told that the "door skirt" was not sent with the cap and would have to be shipped. When I got home I also realized that the cap was sent with a Fixed window rather than the Front sliding window that I'd ordered and paid for. 3 more weeks go by and according to Camp Out the front sliding window and door skirt finally arrived. I show up at Camp Out to have them installed, they still seem understaffed, cranky and disorganized. Come to find out the door skirt still hasn't arrived. You'd think they would have actually checked the packages before calling me, scheduling the appt and having me drive all the way in. Another week later and the door skirt arrives. I go in a 3rd time to have the door skirt installed which I thought would make the cap look finished and also dirt/dust and rain free - it does not. There are large holes on both sides of the door where rain, dust/dirt (it's vegas) flow freely into the pick up bed area. In addition, there were some small scratches on the "brand new" cap, the roof rack cross bars were askew (not even) and the ARE stickers were applied haphazardly (totally non-symmetrical). I've had a pick-up with a cap before (Jeraco cap) and did not experience these issues. I'm not sure if this is an error in installation or what, but, at almost $3,000 - having a cap over my bed that is neither rain proof or dust/dirt proof is ridiculous. So, 10 weeks after ordering this cap - I've got a pretty terrible end product. Camp Out's website has like 5 email Contacts listed - none of which work, all undeliverable. Buyer beware. My advice, go elsewhere and research another brand - Jeraco, Leer... anything but A.R.E or Camp Out. read more

Rented an enclosed trailer here because U-Haul dropped the ball. I am glad this happened because I now will only rent with this company! The customer service was incredible! I was unable to get the trailer back in time and called about 30 minutes to closing and the company agreed to not charge for another day as long as I brought the trailer back the next day at opening time. I highly recommend this place for trailer rentals. They even provide a spare tire in case something happens. read more

These wonderful people at Camp out got me in right away and replaced the leaf springs with a better quality heavy duty set of springs for a great price . Very nice super helpful staff . In the market for a sturgis propane adapter, my husband and I wanted to give this place a look instead of running off to camping world. I was told that they were in the process of redoing the floor and I should expect it to be a bit upheaved. It was a sh@t show. Broken floor tiles littered the isles you could walk down. Other isles were completely blocked off by piles of products just heaped on top of one another. Since it was virtually impossible to browse for the item ourselves, my husband went to the counter to wait for sales help. A gentleman was on the phone with a customer and he was walking him through some sort of issue at length. Two other gentlemen were milling around, clearly at home in the store, but we never figured out if they worked there or not. A young woman would periodically engage with them in friendly banter as she walked around. When she stopped at the counter and was just kind of hanging out there, my husband asked if she worked there. She said "yes". Nothing else. Just "yes". My husband explained what we were looking for and asked her if she would help us. She did ask a related question, but then told us we needed to talk to "him when he gets off the phone" as she pointed at...the guy on the phone. After a while he got off the phone with that customer, said to us "just a sec", and then picked up his cell phone and took a call on that. We left. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I'm a Las Vegas local and I came here to support local businesses. I ordered a part through them six weeks ago. I had been told it would get here in two weeks.. I just got home from work today and I go to sit down and it crosses my mind how no one has thought to contact me regarding this part. No one even gave me a receipt for the down payment I put on this part. When I called today to inquire about the down payment the lady had an EXTREMELY long winded excuse and would not let me get a word in. I mean not a word. Someone has apparently been on vacation for over a week and while that's great for them that's kind of shitty to tell your customer they're just out of luck because you dropped the ball.. When I finally did try to talk she told me I was raising my voice and I could hear a guy shouting in the background to hang up on me!
