It wasn't until we were in Jacksonville (away from family & new to the area) that I found myself needing to board her. After WEEKS of searching different facilities, I choose PAWVILLE. Saying I was a MESS leaving her there was an understatement. I cried leaving her. The facility was beautiful, well kept, secure & the staff was friendly (again, just me being an over protective parent). I Bella stayed for 6 days. I received pictures of my baby and the staff was patient with me, when I'd call to check on her. Needless to say, I cried ALOT when I picked up my baby. She was happy to see me and she was fine. A lil confused, but she was fine and well cared for. I ended up using PAWVILLE a.few times while we were in Jacksonville. Fast forward 4 years & back in San Diego I recently rescued another dog & need to board him (here we go again). My thoughts, "its San Diego, this will be easy." The bar PAWVILLE instilled in my needs for boarding is beyond measure. I miss the facility & the comfort I found in knowing my furchild was safe. The prices were reasonable and there was a small fee for credit card. They had treats and toys displayed on their walls that are for sale. There's a small patch of green grass on the side of the store to take your pups to go potty. Please remember to pick up after your pet people! When our Golden, Allie, was old and sick they took very good care of her when we had to go out of town for a funeral. They made sure she had her meds on time and took her out to exercise away from younger, jumpier dogs. After she passed away, and the grieving was not so raw, we adopted a mini schnauzer from a rescue. This dog is the exact opposite of our docile Allie. He didn't have a very good life before we got him and that left him with some issues. But the staff understands and they have helped us a lot with working through those. He goes in from grooming and Leslie always does a great job with him. She 'gets' him. When we first started taking him there, I couldn't get him out of the car. He was terrified. I went inside and Wanda came out and coaxed him out of the car. Had to do that a couple times, but now he jumps out, pees on the plants and saunters in the door like he owns the joint. When dropping him off I told the person at the counter not to shave him totally and the girl looked at my friends account on the computer and told me that she understood because there were notes saying how to clip him. My friend came at 4:30 to pick up her dog and was told they hadn't started working on him yet! She waited 30 minutes until they were done. When they brought him out to go home it was a real chop job, the ridges from the clipper were visible from the side it was obvious that certain areas were shaved unevenly. The hair on the head and around the ears was chopped with no attention to detail. She was shocked and spoke to the owner about how awful the job was and asked for a partial refund, at least for the tip given. The owner said she would get back to her and never did. I have clipped and shaved my own dogs at home and know I could've done a better job!

The people there are super nice and they do a fantastic job…read more My dog is very difficult to groom and they worked with him but also aren't afraid to let me know if they needed to stop or adjust the groom so he doesn't get pushed too hard. He had an awful experience with a groomer in the past so he tends to be an anxious guy. His last groom was extra special to me because he let them complete it and looked amazing! He also was the calmest I've seen him ever leave a groomer before. They also groomed my long haired cat! It was my first time trying it and she looks so nice! Her fur is extra soft too and I also loved that they work with cats but much like anxious dogs, told me they wouldn't push a cat's groom if they were too stressed about it. She also was absolutely fine coming home too. Just all around a wonderful place that I'm lucky to have near me! Couldn't recommend them enough and I totally understand why you have to book well in advance to get an appointment. They're a really special find!

If you are…read morelooking for a place that has grass and pools for them to jump in, this isn't it, those things can't be properly sanitized easily between uses. The kennels are indoor. Each kennel is separated by cinder block with chain link on the front, which they clean regularly. You can bring your own towels, not beds, for your dogs. Towels only because they wash them. They take your dog(s) out at least 2 xs a day in the outside, cemented kennel to play. Our dogs were taken out 3 times because they didn't gave many other dogs in the kennel at the time. If you have two dogs you are able to put them in the same kennel, which is nice. I also like that it is attached and owned by Dr. Sheegog, so if something happens while they are there the vet is right there. Note they have a very strict flea and tick policy. They check you dog when you sign in, so be sure to have them up-to-date on their flea control (like you should anyway).

Levi absolutely loved this structured socializing hour and had a blast. On top of making a new doberman bestie, we also got a lot of training tips and advice from the trainer, Charisma. We even worked on a little loose leash training and a new trick called "place." I wasn't expecting so much for only $10! After our first social hour, Levi became the most loving puppy ever! What was once an energizer bunny is now a chill and cuddly K-9. I don't know what magic they did to my dog but I highly recommend bringing your puppy here!! I truly wish I didn't spend all my money on another training business because I would've loved for Levi to do their day training program. I really hope they have an adult dog social hour in the future. Levi is rapidly outgrowing the rest of these puppies and would love an adult doggy date.
