We LOVE Animal House! We have boarded pets there and groomed them as well and have never been treated like anything but family by the staff. When our Golden, Allie, was old and sick they took very good care of her when we had to go out of town for a funeral. They made sure she had her meds on time and took her out to exercise away from younger, jumpier dogs. After she passed away, and the grieving was not so raw, we adopted a mini schnauzer from a rescue. This dog is the exact opposite of our docile Allie. He didn't have a very good life before we got him and that left him with some issues. But the staff understands and they have helped us a lot with working through those. He goes in from grooming and Leslie always does a great job with him. She 'gets' him. When we first started taking him there, I couldn't get him out of the car. He was terrified. I went inside and Wanda came out and coaxed him out of the car. Had to do that a couple times, but now he jumps out, pees on the plants and saunters in the door like he owns the joint. I took my friend's dog here for a grooming appointment at 9:30, pick up window was set for 4:30-4:45. She has taken the dog to Animal House several times in the past. When dropping him off I told the person at the counter not to shave him totally and the girl looked at my friends account on the computer and told me that she understood because there were notes saying how to clip him. My friend came at 4:30 to pick up her dog and was told they hadn't started working on him yet! She waited 30 minutes until they were done. When they brought him out to go home it was a real chop job, the ridges from the clipper were visible from the side it was obvious that certain areas were shaved unevenly. The hair on the head and around the ears was chopped with no attention to detail. She was shocked and spoke to the owner about how awful the job was and asked for a partial refund, at least for the tip given. The owner said she would get back to her and never did. Good my dog loves it there. She was boarded 2 years ago while we.moved. she has done daycare 2 times a week for over a year She loves the bus and the driver. The bad I recently boarded her for a week and 2 days after she got home she went for her regular checkup and rabies shot. I was called and told she had hookworm She's now on medication Since they are highly contagious called to let Animal house know and they said sorry to hear that No no one else has reported hookworm. .My dog's only contact with other dogs is there. Plus I believe others should have been notified to.test their dogs.I do know from watching their camera that their kennels are washed down but in open social areas anything can happen. read more

Both dogs came back physically injured one with a completely raw nose and the other a extremely raw and torn up foot even though the staff allegedly does paw checks every day we were never notified and it was only mentioned after we noticed it at pickup (that dog has 0 history of chewing her feet). They also gave my dogs $170 impact bed to another dog who then completely destroyed it. All for the low low cost of $600. Animal house will never see a penny of my money again. I have been a customer of the Animal House Grooming services through 4 dogs. I have been using their services for more than 15 years. Last year I was forced to sign a contract releasing the business of any liability/responsibility should my pets experience any kind of hurt or harm while in their care. I say forced because it was the only way I could KEEP my groomer! I have a wonderful relationship with my groomer of more than 15 years! The straw that broke the camel's back is our dogs are now required to have a bordetella vaccine whether they board or not. My dogs have never and will never be boarded! Neither have they contracted bordetella pertussis, in all those years. I will be looking to take my business elsewhere. I have not complained about price increases, which they have. I give a little room for that because of inflation. But the fact management is trying to be free of any and all liability while requiring customers to give their pets unneeded vaccines was the last straw. I can never say enough good things about Animal House. I began taking my dog Kona there when she was still a puppy after my best friend took his dog there and loved it. Kona has been going to day camp for over two years now and she loves it! Every morning she waits by the door to get in the car and head there. At the end of the day she is so happy from playing with her friends, but also exhausted and sleeps all night. The staff is incredibly friendly and as per owners themselves, they take pride in treating every animal as family. I also love the events and parties they plan around holidays (some photos below). I feel comfortable boarding her when I leave town too as they have cameras you can watch and they provide a report card showing every time they plays, goes potty and eats. Our dog is an anxious guy and they are patient with him. They ease him in to playing with other dogs (he's an only child) and the staff loved in him too. Always comes home with a clean bed and happy. First off, I will just say after touring the facility the first time I knew I would never board my pup at Animal House. Don't let the front office fool you! The whole facility is not held to that standard. Just ask the front desk staff for a tour - they are free. I continued to take my pup to daycare a few times just to let him run & play with other pups. They say they have cameras for you to watch your pup play, but you have to get lucky to watch your pup play for the short 30 minutes they are in the video camera playpen. Who knows where they are the rest of the time. One time my dog didn't even come home tired from 'playing,' so it makes me wonder what he did all day. Our last visit was a grooming appointment that took EIGHT HOURS. They did not share this information with me when I dropped him off. I assumed that he would take 2-3 hours max. They said that they don't work on one dog at a time, they work on multiple at a time. I had to request a speedy pick-up in order for him to be the only one worked on at a time. My pup came home extremely stressed, I know this because I was up all night with him as he was sick. Not to mention, he got sick on himself so I had to give him another bath at 3am. Waste of money. The moral of the story, after all of these experiences my pup is happier not going to Animal House! read more

Excellent grooming service! I've been taking my dog here for about a year now and love it. They do a great job and charge fairly. I usually get the furminator treatment because my dog sheds so much, but this time we switched to the igroom per the staff's recommendation and she has never been so soft and her shedding is minimal as well! She now goes to the back with no issues (she protested slightly the first few times) and is always happy when I pick her up. read more

I love love LOVE this place. But what's even better...my dog LOVES it. When we drop her off she runs into the room and doesn't even look back at me! I'm so glad we have a place to bring her that she likes. They are cheap. $25 overnight includes food, own room, and puppy play time. I recommend this place to everyone I know with a dog! EDIT 5/16/12: FYI boarding prices are now $30 a night. Still worth it though. We'll have a problem if it goes up any more though! They also offer a frequent groomers card. Personally I have not been here for drop off as my husband took on that task(he said they were very nice and the place was very clean) but I can say their customer service is great! When I noticed we were wrongly charged for one night of boarding our pup I called and asked about it. The lady on the phone was so professional. She promised to get to the bottom of it, discuss it with the manager and get back to me by noon. Well pretty much right at noon I got a phone call! I don't know why but that kind of accountability goes a long way for me. I, 100%, would recommend this place to everyone! I have a rescue pitbull and she's very lovey and sweet but absolutely detests her nails being trimmed. I haven't been able to do her nails at all and my last vet cut her up. I took her to Animal House for the first time today, (1/12/2021), and they cut her nails in five minutes with no issues. This is the first time someone has been able to do so without a muzzle and making her bleed. I would give this place ten stars if I could. Hidden bonus, it was only $12.50 to do all four paws, I'm not sure if that's what they normally charge but I almost cried in relief. i thought this place was decent until the report of a groomer killing a dog and got arrested for doing so. there were allegations about staff not letting dogs play and just keeping them in a kennel, which happened to my 2 pups. i never saw them on camera but just thought i missed them.
