    6 person cabin

Anyone who gets to come here is super lucky. (And any kid who gets to come here is even more so!) Camp Mather really is a SF gem - it combines the best of nature and civilization. Nature because there's trees, lack of wifi/reception, lakes - and it's relatively close to several hikes that have waterfalls, the Hetch Hetchy dam and reservoir, and sequoias. Civilization because there are cabins with electricity, screen doors/windows, a dining hall, and planned recreation like ropes courses, archery, horse rides, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and more. There's also pretty nice bathrooms (flush toilets and strong showers). And laundry. If you ever get the chance to come and want tor recharge from the Instagram-connected world, Mather is just a fantastic place to do it. Tips: - the larger cabins have screen windows and doors. The smaller ones depend if someone left one behind for future visitors :) - there's 1 outlet in the cabin and it's ungrounded (that means 2 prongs only). You can buy an adapter at the general store to let you plug in 3-prong stuff though

They had nothing in stock since it was the last week of summer. Kind of a bummer for the kids wanting merch and stuff

Sure its awesome. But thinking about giving it a 1 star so that none of you readers apply to take a slot -- it is a lottery after all.

My favorite part growing up as a kid was paying cash each day for a big cone of mint chip before heading down to the Lake!

This has a very casual, family friendly, outdoorsy ambiance. Once indoors, Chase and Blaise took great care of us. It was already a few minutes past their weekend closing time of 8 pm but Chase still offered us a sample with an unhurried smile and kept the door open for a few more minutes. When we saw the flavor options in the bins, we noted they were out of our favorite type but Chase happily reassured us there was more and without hesitation opened a new container of ice cream just for us while joking that he would eat the best part of the new container (the extra cookies crunched into the top of the container). We ordered our pint of delicious ice cream then Blaise checked us out at the register. It was a beautiful evening to sit at their tables but we left to eat it because we had others who were waiting at the cabin to consume it as well. If we were eating outside, I'd try to convince my group to order the 4 flavor flight! The 2026 posted summer hours were 12-8 Friday- Saturday and 12-7 Sunday- Thursday. The ice cream servers allowed us to use their images and names in my review.

The shop is filled with delightful chocolates, candies, caramel apples, fun trinkets, and charming gifts that are perfect to take home--or keep for yourself! And then there's the ice cream... so many delicious flavors to choose from! The staff are just as sweet as the treats, warm, friendly, and welcoming. A little candy, a scoop of ice cream, a cute keepsake, and a whole lot of nostalgia--what's not to love? Definitely a must-stop when you're in the area. It's a place where the past feels deliciously present! P.S. Don't forget to stop by the Yosemite Falls Trading Post Shop right next door, too! When you walk in there are two areas for children on the right is for younger children and the one on the left is for 2 & up. The owner was so nice. He was setting up for movie night. There was all these different games to play that were human size. There were various places to sit and eat inside and outside. The decor was so cute. It was like a time warp Christmas/summer/fall/spring. I mean it's perfect for anyone who likes unique things and places. Everyone there was so nice and attentive. My server in the cashier Jordan was so sweet. Everyone seemed very happy there. The sourdough pizza is to die for it's hot and fresh. I haven't tried the barbecue, but I will be back to try the barbecue. The mac & cheese was yummy. And they have many different types of drinks that you can choose from adult drinks to just regular soft drinks. They also sell ice cream, which is really cool with toppings. Let's not forget all the cool Sasquatch decor, and theme! It's so beautiful because the trees are everywhere and you can smell the pine. So many good memories to make here at this establishment. My daughter and I will definitely be back every single time. Thank you for giving us core memories and a good experience.
