What can I say about Camp Gladiator other than it has changed my life. Started 2 years ago and haven't stopped since! Yes there are days where you may be achey or injured, but the trainers are great at helping you modify any workout. This camp is truly for everybody, no matter your fitness level.

There are not enough awesome things I can say about Camp Gladiator. They do a fantastic job making exercise not only fun but the trainers and the people you workout with become a second family. Doesn't matter if you can do 100 push ups or zero, they will find a way to challenge you and you will watch your love for exercise grow. They have so many options for locations and times it makes it hard to find an excuse not to go. Try it and you will love it!

Camp Gladiator is the best fitness program that I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. Even more than that, they've become family to me and we enjoy spending time hanging out with them outside of workouts. The environment is uplifting and inspiring, and the positive energy is contagious. I've been a camper now for 15 months, and my body fat percentage has dropped, my strength has increased, and I am able to manage anxiety without medications. It really is life changing. Come work out with us!

I thought after going to Camp Gladiator for a year and a half, it was finally time to review. I have come to know this program well and have enjoyed nearly every workout--- even when I feel like I am out of shape. Every aspect of the program has it's benefits: 1. Trainers- 95% of the trainers are incredible. I have gone to many different trainers but have found my favorites. They are all certified and most of them create a positive environment for working out. Most of them have programming that is unique and changes with each workout. One of the reasons I am able to stick with this program is that the trainers come up with creative workouts each time so I never get bored. 2. Community- I have made some of the best friends of my life at CG. The people are truly positive and kind. They also encourage you to do your best and push you to succeed. I went to gyms for many years and have yet to find a community like this. 3. Pricing- I will admit that CG is pricy, especially for those who pay $10 a month for Planet Fitness. This is definitely beyond that price point. However, many companies get discounts for CG. Plus, I go 5 days a week to the workouts. So, over the month, its not more than a few dollars per workout. 4. Meeting times- CG has morning times (5 a.m., 6 a.m.) Monday-Friday, which I never make because I am not a morning person. They also have 8 and 9 a.m. times for people with alternative work schedules and some flexibility. Some of the best trainers have these times but I have to work. :/ I usually go at 5:15 p.m. but there are later times from 5:45-7:15 p.m. or later in certain areas. They make it possible for every person to find a time that works. They also have a Saturday camp at various locations. Positive all around. 5. Extras- often, CG has promotions that get you free stuff (shirts, mats, bumper stickers, etc.) Also, there are events like an annual CG Games, where you can test your strength, agility and endurance. I competed last year and, although it was hard, found it to be incredibly rewarding. They also have 5Ks often, which allow me to track my progress in endurance. I have seen many people complain about the corporate aspect of CG. And I sympathize. I just choose not to let that affect my workout experience. My main trainer is not only a supportive coach but also a trusted friend and confidant. When I slipped a disc in my back, she helped me modify the exercises to avoid pain. Overall, it has been a positive experience, where I have made many valuable friendships. Definitely unlike any other fitness experience I have had.

Give that man a hand! That was some hard ass work. Speaking of work, Beejay had an excellent eye for determining whether you were at peak levels or whether you needed a day with a bit less intensity. He definitely gave a lot of attention to your macros and diet (far more than anyone I've worked with in the past). He's very no nonsense and that's probably not for everyone. If you aren't going to put in the hard work to manage your diet, you will fail and he will let you know it. But if you put in the work, you'd be very hard pressed to find a better trainer in San Antonio (I did work with some of the other trainers at Hasfit and I got to say they were all stellar). Overall, you are going to have to spend some coin (I was at just under $500/month) but when you start seeing the results of that spent money, you aren't going to miss it. You're going to be thankful for the transformative experience as you become fitter and healthier.

She also discusses nutrition to enhance her clients' progress toward being the best they can be. In all, I recommend Rosa Albright as the best personal trainer around.

Small gyms to me feel cozy and comfortable like small little boxing gym or something. So if you like small compact gyms also, you would like this one as well. I don't come here often since it's not that close to where I live, but when I do it does the job. 3 ellipticals and a lot of those PreCore machines that are able to work out a few different areas of your body at once. Lots of free weights. That machine that allows you to do pull ups even if your too weak at the moment, by taking off some of the weight for you. Only issue is not much floor space for calisthenics. Still a cool gym!

I was getting ready to sit down on the small seat to do some chest presses. Well, I slid right off the seat onto the floor. Geez, I was embarrassed. My jock act has been blown. Anyway, no one came over to help me up or even ask how I was. Hell, they turned away. I had to go through my dying cockroach act to get up. There were three buff guys in my area. Oh well. Not hurt, just super embarrassed. I'll have to get some shorts with rubber backs so I don't slide. Ha, ha.

However... ...the reason I'm giving it only one star is the fact that the instructor picked up his phone and tablet to text/check emails, whatever, no less than 10 TIMES during our one-on-one 60 min training session, which at $80 an hour was completely disrespectful and unacceptable. He acted like that was totally normal, so I'm sure it's a habitual thing. When I let him know that it wasn't a good fit, he assumed it was the methodology (which I actually really liked) and didn't follow up to ask for feedback. ***UPDATE 3/30/15*** The owner called me to apologize a few days ago. In addition, he refunded my session fee. I honestly don't know that this trainer would change his iHabits, but I think the owner was sorry about the experience. I do appreciate the apology and refund. Thank-you, and I've added a star for the courtesy.
