I was impressed by many of of the lifts and it only encouraged me to hit a PR myself too. The owner has a fantastic attitude that he transfers to class participants. On the board I noticed they had a lot for different events scheduled, some just fun outings, others performance focused. If you live in SA or are just visiting, I would recommend dropping by to check them out.

I heard about Crossfit & asked my husband to try it out with me for just a month. He thought I was nuts! He said it was to hard & only for fit, sporty type people. I wanted to be that fit, sporty type person. So, I called & signed us up for a few WODs. I walked in the box & was immediately intimidated. That is, until I was greeted by Coach Jerry and a few of the other 7:30AMers. I received 1-1 instruction and my questions were answered. I was able to witness new folks & veterans alike. They were all doing Crossfit, just at different levels. I was introduced to scaling & for awhile that became my best friend. My safety was a #1 priority & I was coached & cheered by the best. My fears evaporated within a week as I came to know the athletes at the box. I could walk in and instantly feel nervous & excited about the work out of the day. I found myself checking the website every night & morning to see what we would be doing next. That was almost 2 years ago. I've never stuck with something this long. I'm still just as enthusiastic as I was that first week. Is Crossfit hard? Yes. Do you have to be in shape before you come try a workout? No. But believe me, if you can believe in yourself like you deserve. You won't turn back! I give you 1 month before you start drinking the kool-aid, you won't be able to help it! The coaches & athletes here have changed my life.

The reason that it is packed is because it's the best gym in the area. The most I've ever had to wait for a machine is maybe 10 minutes. I will pay those 10 minutes to be able to go to this facility. The front desk personnel are fantastic. When they welcome you in, it isn't like some gyms where the comment is an afterthought, they really hope you have a good workout. Even though it is a new gym, they do a good job of keeping everything in good shape. The trainers are the best! They have a good variety of personalities so you should be able to find someone who can help you reach your goals. I've worked out with three and seen other trainers working with clients. I haven't taken any classes yet, but friends have said that the classes are really enjoyable. I have done a HIIT workout challenge, which was really needed to help me get out of a rut. Highly recommend!

Essentially, I got six…read moremonths and during that time period, Beejay Brooks (my trainer) got me into pretty decent shape from a guy who looks like he's written 1620 Yelp reviews. Give that man a hand! That was some hard ass work. Speaking of work, Beejay had an excellent eye for determining whether you were at peak levels or whether you needed a day with a bit less intensity. He definitely gave a lot of attention to your macros and diet (far more than anyone I've worked with in the past). He's very no nonsense and that's probably not for everyone. If you aren't going to put in the hard work to manage your diet, you will fail and he will let you know it. But if you put in the work, you'd be very hard pressed to find a better trainer in San Antonio (I did work with some of the other trainers at Hasfit and I got to say they were all stellar). Overall, you are going to have to spend some coin (I was at just under $500/month) but when you start seeing the results of that spent money, you aren't going to miss it. You're going to be thankful for the transformative experience as you become fitter and healthier.

Over the course of the trip, living and eating in a hotel, I gained about three pounds of muscle and lost about three percent body fat. I think this gym is great for anyone just beginning in the gym to more advanced athletes, as so long you are willing to put in the work. :)

Honestly, every single time I walk through the doors, I'm greeted with such a fantastic, positive vibe. The entire team here is truly exceptional - everyone is super friendly, they genuinely take the time to listen to any questions or concerns, and they approach everything with such admirable patience, which makes a huge difference. Because of this wonderful atmosphere, Crunch has truly become my fitness home; I can't imagine going anywhere else. They've really made a positive impact on my journey, and I'm so grateful for that! And speaking of wonderful people, I absolutely *have* to give a special shout-out to Lacie. Seriously, she is just phenomenal! Her smile is so radiant, and her energy is absolutely contagious - she truly brightens up the entire gym and never fails to put a spring in everyone's step. She's one of those people who just makes your day better, and I really appreciate her. A massive thank you to everyone on the team for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment, and an extra special thanks to Lacie for being such an inspiring presence. It truly embodies the spirit that "Little progress, is better than no progress," and Crunch makes every bit of that progress feel celebrated. Warmly, Tiffany
