Charged my wife after she told the instructor that she wasn't going to use the service after the free trial. Then the instructor told her that it's out of her hands and she would need to contact the billing department; then the billing department said she "should have canceled through the app" (even though my wife didn't have access to the app because she didn't want to continue the service) and when said she could send their conversation thread the billing department just ended the session. So then my wife disputed the charges through her bank and now they are threatening to send it to collections. All because my wife decided to not use there service. read more

Started CG in January with a free month trial. It was the hardest workout I had done in my life, but my trainer was patient, encouraging, and challenging. I am the oldest in any group, but I have slowly seen my strength and endurance improve with two to three workouts a week and am holding my own with the younger stronger campers. There are several options in my area when I am unable to attend my regular group or want additional workouts. Now, eight months and 84 check-ins later, I am stronger and more confident than I have ever been. Workouts were ok I called in to sign up for a membership and planned to sign the paperwork the following week when I came in for bootcamp, but decided to go with another bootcamp group. I called and emailed CG, but they refused to cancel me, even though I never signed to finalize the contract and I never returned. Now these MFs placed a derogatory mark on my credit report. Worst Experience, inconsiderate management. They keep changing trainers, locations and there are no adequate safety measures in place while working out in open public areas like parking lots, parks etc. The trainer was made aware of the health condition in March 2020 and she requested for a freeze on account and refunds, instead of cancelling and issuing the refund the CG team kept on charging my account with a 'freeze amount' and then full payments. They threatened to send for collections if I don't pay up despite poor service quality. CG cancelled my trainer's contract soon after and they did not even inform. They disregarded the safety advice which was in effect in our state and country. I am yet to receive the refund of $370 and confirmation of cancellation. They continue to cite contract fine print while the fault was entirely at their end. read more

Customer service is at an all time low. I've tried for 4 days to put a freeze on my account because I just had surgery and have not been able to speak to anyone. The hold disconnects after 20 minutes and when they say they close at 6pm CT that's are. I called at 5:36 pm CT and it said they were closed. Alli and Jeff need to figure it out. Great workout. It's never the same. There's classes at different times so when my schedule changes I have no issue going to a class.

First, let me say the trainers are the best. The workouts are great. The company, however, not so much. I signed up for the nutritional coaching. First, it started late. I tried to cancel put off by the terms not being met. I was told I could not cancel. So, I successfully challenged the charges with my credit card. When I called to make sure I would not move month to month I was told I had to pay or I would continue to be charged month to month regardless that they did not meet their terms. I have not had one coaching session and I have not heard from my coach in over a month. I asked them if they even cared about the quality of service. They said they had not heard of any concerns in the quality. I pointed out I was reporting a problem now. They offered no solution. CG you win this one and others please beware! read more

The work outs were great, the trainer was also great. My reason for leaving was very simple. During workout session one evening, a healthy young (28) year old man collapsed only 15 minutes into the workout session. The CG trainer thought it was heat exhaustion, during the first 10-15 minutes or so the CG trainer tried to comfort the young man. Only after 15 minutes or so, it became apparent from others in the group that he was not breathing. By that time someone in the group called 911 during the 15-20 minute wait, the CG trainer could not or would not perform CPR, no one in the group knew CPR, the EMS supervisor was on seen before the ambulance. The EMS crew performed CPR for over (20) minutes. Later that night I learned that this young (28) year man who was very healthy, was on business trip to Houston, TX from Austin, TX. Played football at Texas Tech, played soccer and seemed very fit to me. It was also said that he had an enlarged heart or heart attack, either one not sure. My issues with CG, THE TRAINER HAD NO IDEA OF HOW TO PERFORM FIRST AID, YOU WORK OUT IN A PARKING LOT WITH NO DEFIBRILLATOR. Now if you read the contract your on your own like most gyms and trainers state. But think about it, if you have an unknown health condition, your putting your life in someone hands who is not qualified to respond in an emergency situation if one arises. That night the trainer took everyone's names, phone numbers and email address down in case they needed statements. If your going to do GC, go get a complete physical from your doctor and also inform your doctor that these workouts are extreme to people who are unfit. read more

They are nothing but money hungry and only care about who youre bringing in to make them more money. After situations came up and I could no longer pay for CG, I tried to buy out my 12 month contract, but of course they tried to talk me out of it by putting my account on a freeze and charging me a $5 fee, of course without notifying me. I'm really disappointed cause I really did want to like this company but wow. Fix your costumer service and you might be able to fix the bad rep you guys have made for your self. I find that camp gladiators is a company that is not for the people but money. If an individual feels that CG is not for them or other circumstances came up and they want out. You cannot cancel a contract that you never signed in the first place. You have to wait til After the 12 month is paid before you can non renew your contract. If you advise you have no job no money so sad. You pay and also have to pay the insufficient bank charges I do not recommend CG to anybody I did have a great trainer she was very compassionate and caring my family hasn't been since March 2018. So I am paying for 3 people just giving money away and not being able to pay other bills and or get medication that I need. read more

I've been to several different trainers over Houston but these three seem to be the most invested in their campers health than any other trainers. They really do support and motivate more than I felt with other trainers. Love the camps, especially the later times like 6:30 and 7:15pm. The app needs work though. I have had to freeze my account for medical issues, and customer services has always been incredibly helpful. read more

My workouts with Camp Gladiator were okay. However, I got pregnant during my year and I am a high risk pregnancy due to an incompetent cervix. I understood that I had to pay so I continued to pay even though I was not using the service. At the end of my contract, I called to cancel. After waiting over 30 minutes for someone to take my call, I was told that I couldn't cancel because my payment was about to come out. Ok, fine. Please cancel it starting next month. They will not do it. They are making me call back and wait again to speak to someone to cancel the contract. I'm sure that there will be some other excuse when that time comes. Just finished my first CG camp and I loved it! I started going with a friend in the evenings to Spotts Park, but decided I liked the early morning option better and now regularly attend the Whole Foods Montrose morning camp. It's definitely a challenge to drag myself out of bed at 4:45, but I have yet to regret it! Both trainers that I've worked with, Roz and Shamus, are awesome. I'm definitely out of shape and they have been extremely positive and encouraging. The work outs are different every day, but consistently focused around strengthening your core muscle groups. There are people from every fitness level at the camp, so you won't stick out (too much) if you're a newbie like me. You can go as much as you want every week and the monthly fee when you commit to 6 camps of $69 is less than most decent gym memberships, and you're getting much more personalized attention. I highly recommend CG looking to work out outside with a great group of people. read more

I paid full 12 months membership , but no one notify me although your membership expired, I MUST make the phone CALL to cancel it ( Email is not acceptable !) I've been attending various CG locations for a few years now. Every workout is different, ample locations in and around the Houston Area. I typically attend camps in Katy area, but have been to camps in Houston and Cypress as well. Always a location I can attend if a work out is wanted. I've never been motivated to hit the gym on my own. The group setting is what drives me to keep going. No matter the fitness level as the camps are "go at your own pace." Yes, the Trainers are there to ensure proper form and to push you to go harder. That's the environment that works for me. All I can suggest is to try it for yourself. They always have different types of promotions running and have the "bring a buddy week" for the person wanting to try it out. read more

Although the workout is tough, it definitely allows everyone to go at their own pace. The trainers give personal attention wherever it is needed. I absolutely LOVED my two week pass at the Pearland location. Dustin was an amazing instructor. He was so supportive and encouraging!!! Even when I was sick, he texted to check on me. Honestly, that sold me!!! He'd only met me a couple of times, but still had concern about my total well being. I wish everyone could experience CG at least once. To me, the workouts incorporate everything from crossfit, cardio, yoga, etc. The rain or shine policy is great because it allows you to get a great workout in regardless to the outdoor elements. The plethora of locations throughout the city and surrounding areas makes for an easy, accessible and convenient workout!!! The sense of community and teamwork is another aspect of CG that sold me. Although everyone isn't on the same fitness level, everyone has the same workout. There are high fives and "great job" flying around constantly throughout the 60 mins. I've been going to Camp Gladiator for over a yr now. I must say, the trainers keep a light fun environment while ensuring you get the best (and sorest) work out as possible. When looking for a work out all I wanted was not to be yelled out, but rather to have the positive encouragement and sense of community that Camp Gladiator provides through it's trainers. Over the past year, and with the support of the amazing trainers in several locations, I've been able to lose a good 30lbs, learn about nutrition, make some pretty awesome friends, and live a healthier lifestyle. Camp Gladiator , is really a piece of work. They signed me up for camp and then told me it was ok to start when I had time. They now tell me that I only had access in May and June when I was traveling and kids year end stuff. There contract has no term or explanation and they don't send a confirmation of terms. They sent a confirmation email that even had the incorrect period. I reviewed their e contract and it doesn't state this program or even the date that I signed. The money is not the issue, but the whole bait and switch. I obviously have paid for help, but this really pissed me off. They told me it's fine to send to my attorney , because they are switching to four week with no end of camp scan. My fear is that this kind of bait and switch is not acceptable. I hate when organizations have no rules or maybe they are not running sophisticated or really tight ships ; then flex contractual muscle with all their screw ups. The thing is that I even just asked for refund and lady who answered acted as if she was in right. Read contract , and it has a weak you can be denied, but you can't just blanket not offer product because you choose not too. A refund or my 6 week program that I was explained. read more

I was so excited and ready to try out this 4 week camp with my girlfriends but the first day of class our location and time had been cancelled without any prior notice. We waited at the specified location for over 30 minutes not knowing it had been cancelled permanently. We called and texted the trainer Hernan and never received a response. We finally got ahold of the area manager who told us that, that location had been cancelled and there were no other locations in our area with 7:15pm classes. The only reason we were able to sign up was because of the specific time and they waited for the of to cancel and not let us know. And because of terms of the contract we cannot receive a refund but if they knew ahead of time why even have that location as an option? I feel like I got set up. Camp Gladiator offers a work out to match the connotation that the name gives. The work out you will get here no matter what your current state of physical fitness will push you to the limit! The good thing is that all I needed was the determination of just one tiny mustard seed and drag my sore achy limbs back to camp, and I wasn't let down. You will find your limit to be sooooo much higher than before and a few buddies that miss you when your gone. What i love about Camp gladiator is that there is no guilt! Don't get me wrong there is a faction of fitness-nuts (that eat organic well balanced 6 meals a day) present but there are equal amounts of people that eat on the 'office regimen' ( take out lunch specials/McDonald's breakfast). Camp Gladiator doesn't push anything on you. I felt rather as I continued to go to camp that I was making different ( healthier) choices on my own because I noticed the difference it gave me during the day and in work outs. When you want the information the campers and trainers have it in abundance! I have moved due to changing employment circumstances. I know you guys feel me with this tumultuous economy! LOL So i wasn't able to re-enroll due to inconsistent schedule. Things have resettled and I plan to re-up and bring my sister! I love that I can afford it although I'm not rolling in dough (YET!!). What takes the cake is when i bring people they get a new camper discount and i get a credit too! All that being said I would recommend this camp for anyone (pre-teen and up) that wants to get to the next level in their fitness life and knows that they would benefit from accountability and motivation. I suggest getting up early and going to the early bird sessions if you're like me and prefer smaller groups ( less than 20 people) but with the way i see this camp growing big groups may become unavoidable! read more

My boyfriend and I go to an evening class and love love love it. We've both worked out a lot over the years, mostly at gyms. He's a runner and I taught spinning. We find this camp very challenging and love it. We are sore afterward but know we are getting stronger and in better shape. We just started going this Summer and don't plan on stopping. I have been a member of camp gladiator for 6 camps and am still enjoying it. The sessions are challenging to meet all your workout needs while having fun. What other boot camp has happy hours, hiking trips, and ski trips. The trainers are all very knowledgable and know just when to push you to expect more of yourself. It's also nice to see familiar faces when running hills and cheering each other on. I recommend everyone to come out and try to find their inner Gladiator. read more

I usually play basketball and run, but a friend had me out for buddy week and after Camp Gladiator I felt like I hadn't worked out in months. Actually I felt a lot of things in a lot of places I hadn't in years.The workouts are intense in a good way, but they never feels stale like you might get in a box gym. One day we ran hills, did circuits, had mat rotations and hat jug relays. The next day we had hand weights, lunges, tic tac toe relays and ab circuits. This is all in two days. They really provide a nice mix of exercises and activities that'll keep you interested and your muscles guessing, not to mention, happy happy hour after "happy hour." The team atmosphere and charismatic instructors (what up Roz and Jared) will keep you pushing yourself no matter what fitness level you're at. The campers are cool and the instructors genuinely care. It's definitely the most fun physical beating I've ever taken; way better than old school basketball conditioning. CG, what what! read more

Very good work out, nice trainer, but terrible corporate policy and customer service. They do not want to lose customers, so if you want to cancel your account, they talk you into putting a "freeze" on your account instead. When the "freeze" is up, they go right back to charging your credit card the full price. There is no contact, no call or email or follow-up of any kind...they just start up where they left off and they will not give a refund. If you sign up with these people, stay on your toes! So, it started off friendly enough and I got the information that I asked the questions to. I liked what I heard. Since I have done many different types of workouts all over the world. We even took a picture of the website so we can look it up. But, it went down hill, FAST! We did NOT sign up for the package that they were selling that day. Because, we were not going to be able to do the workouts at the time they were selling it for. Hubby would not be in Texas for two weeks and I would NOT have a ride. So, I stated MANY times that we were interested in it for a later date to all three of the trainers. Like, why pay for a workout package that we would only do 2 weeks of and MISS the other 2 weeks? That would be a waste of $99 each. I can go to a gym near my house for cheaper than that and do the MANY workout classes. But, it was obvious that me and hubby wanted to do the Total transformation workout. BUT, at a later date. We would NOT have wasted our time asking about it and so on. We could have just asked for a FREE t- shirt and moved along. Then it starts to rain before we can leave after asking all of our question and getting the picture of the website to go back to later. So we can get our workout paid for and get transformed at a LATER date that suits us better. So, I decided to make SMALL TALK. I coupon plus enter contest and get FREE items all of the time doing that. I was talking to the two women about it. One was a Black 25 year old woman who just got engaged and she graduated college. The other one was a White 35 year old woman who lives in the country with her hubby and dogs. I told them to get their phones and look up a coupon site I know of. Then the other Trainer who was a White male. I did NOT know much about. Because, I did not care to know much about anyways. He BARKED at me and said, "They do not want to hear about YOUR coupons since you do not want to hear about our workout program".The Black 25 year old woman nodded in agreement with him. She would not even pick up her phone to even look at the website. She tells me that her aunt gives her what she needs,. I was pretty SHOCKED to say the least. He was ANGRY that I did NOT sign up to do the workout program that neither me or my hubby can attend at the time they were doing it. He did NOT care that we already told him that we will sign up at a later date. He must have been zoned out when "HE" and the other two answered our MANY questions about the program. The White 35 year old woman trainer looked up the site I told her about. We talked a little while longer. The Black 25 year old woman ignored me after the White male trainer barked at me about not wanting to sign up until I was ready. Which was not a good way to get NEW customers by the way. You should not throw attitude at strangers when you want new members. I wanted the rain to let up. But, while it kept going. I asked the 35 year old White woman to add me on facebook. Because, she seemed really cool as a person. I watched her add me. Then when I got home she took back her request. Which is COOL. Her choice. She was just like them as it turns out but trying to PLAY the nice role. But, It was the strangest experience to say the least. I am so glad that I did not sign up and I got to see who the trainers really were. They were NASTY people. All three of them. They were all nice when they wanted me to sign my money over to them. When I did not and wanted to do it at a later date. They showed me their true selves. I would not give one thin dime to this place after seeing the true nature of the trainers that represent this company. The rain was a a blessing in disguise. I thank God that it rained. Or else I too would be taken for my money! Like the other reviews I have read here.
