They also have mini golf, a train, playgrounds and some other stuff. It's free for Fairfax County residents (glad we're getting something for our taxes) and $10 for everyone else but of course the rentals, mini golf, train, etc. cost extra. There's a decent amount of parking but go early on a nice day or you might have a hard time grabbing a spot. It is well used and not just in the warm months. There are always people here throughout the year. As expected, during the warmer months this place is packed. With the amount of things on property to do during those months, I can see why. There is minigolf, playgrounds, spray playground, and tons of walking trails. I also see the horse crossing signs along the road and trails through the area, so be aware of that. The only downside to this place, and it is of no fault to the owners, is the amount of traffic that passes by and may cause a bit of a hectic situation when it comes to entering and exiting. They have widened the road in front of the entrance to allow for a turning lane and an entrance lane to the road, but a lot of the people traveling the road seem to not understand that. I don't see the road widening any further until the brides that cross over I-495 are replaced and widened themselves.

It is really a park for tourists and families with kids. They have a rental ballroom which had non-campers racing through the park. The little train/tactor ride around the park stopped in front of our site beeping the train horn with people yelling as we were trying to cook. I don't need to be on someone elses vaction. They also allow golf carts with sound and light systems to race around the park blasting music and yelling. It was a different RV experience than we expected. Not a real RV or camping spot, but probably great for families on summer break.

The raccoons get trash everywhere and the office will send out passive-aggressive fliers about it. There is no shade and you'll cook inside your camper during the summer no matter how many A/Cs you have. The positives are you are on Fort Belvoir. It's a pretty location. The showers are nice (the men's smell like urine because men have bad aim). Not much to recommend. Go to Pohick Park. It's cheaper and more helpful from the front office.

Endeavor Point is a Paradise! Everything about this place is…read moremagnificent, starting with the hostesses, Sophie and Beth. Communication with both was great from booking to leaving. Located by the Patuxent River with a breathtaking view, Endeavor Point, is a ridden gem with campground, private beaches you can swim, a huge fishing pier, and cottages for rentals. From the moment you step onto the grounds of this place you feel your entire body relaxing. It is an amazing experience! I rented a cottage (Mermaid Folly) for the weekend. The place was very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room furniture, very comfortable beds with soft linens, clean baths with soft towels. In general, the place was very clean, well decorated, and very functional. What I loved the most about the cottage was the balcony with a fantastic view, sitting outside under the tree close to the water, and listening to the waves breaking by the river shore. I also loved my walks in the mornings and afternoons by the breezy beaches and pier watching people fishing, the sunrising, and the sunset. I strongly recommend Endeavor Point if you want to just relax on a visit during the day, if you like camping overnight, or staying in a very comfortable cottage over the weekend.

I don't want to be mean! The staff were great had a little hiccup with the credit card and a few…read morephone calls but all was solved! Nicely greeted! Property is clean and well kept. We visited mid week so it was very quiet which was fine. Our second time adventuring to a place that was clothing optional. Now the pool was great! Super clean. Mandatory no clothes in the pool. The cameras were bit bothersome. I was completely unaware but I'll own that I'm oblivious in new environments so if someone spoke of them I don't recall but anyways we enjoyed the pool! Later on having some fun in the room and I'm laying on the bed which is right next to the door I mean right next to it! In all my glory on the bed I can hear people like whispering. Laughing. No big deal. Well when my door flung open and I have 3 people staring at me I was mortified. The whispering was them discussing the code which they had the code I had been given not sure if it was a universal one or not. The key pass were being issues so they only did codes no key! Anyways two woman and a man came walking in. They left very very quickly! We barricaded the door so we could sleep and high tailed it out in the morning. Aside from that mishap which is pretty unnerving to me. More precautions and safe measures should be in place! So that's why I went with the 3 stars!
