After taking her there for 1-2 days a week regularly, at pick up, we were told it was not a good fit for our dog, as she is relentless with play, and will not stay away from the other dogs, and they are very afraid she will get bit, as there are "bigger more aggressive" guys in there who could "really hurt her". The worker was very nice, but stated how concerned he was that she might get hurt. Understandable. Our dog will play play play; if a dog is around, she wants them to be her best friend. Upon returning home, I noticed that our girl had a gash near her eye- she had clearly been bit or, at a minimum, was on the end of an act of aggression. It seems the worker was not transparent, as she clearly did get hurt. I ultimately ended up emailing the manager, asking if it was typical policy to effectively kick out the dog who was injured, as it seems counterintuitive to kick her out, stating she is a liability as she won't leave dogs alone, and some get sick of her. It feels as though the dog who is the concern for the act of aggression would be the greater liability. At any rate, the owner responded that she probably incurred the "cut" because she was "annoying another dog". I would have appreciated communication if this was the issue, as nothing was ever brought to our attention prior to this. Just an honest review that if you have an active younger dog, you may want to consider sending them somewhere else where the dogs are divided by age/size/temperment.

Facility: The facility is huge (both indoor and outdoor spaces for the dogs to play) and very clean. We took our dog to training classes at this location as well so it was helpful for our dog to get familiar with the space before starting day care. Staff: The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It has been evident to us from day one that the employees at Central Bark love dogs and love what they do! The staff takes photos of the dogs throughout the day and posts them to Facebook so you have an idea of what your dog is up to. Grooming: Excellent. For our pups first bath and hair cut, they did exactly what we asked them to. The prices they charge are reasonable. If your dog is enrolled in day care, they will spend additional one on one time w/ him or her on a grooming day to avoid the potential dirty aftermath of dogs playing with other dogs. We love Central Bark and it's clear that our pup does too!

For $10 a day (per pup) you can bring your pooch here and enjoy the company. There are a few options for exercise here: two indoor play areas (they call it a small dog area and a large dog area, but the only times I have seen the second one operational is for dog birthday parties... yes it's a thing). I will say that the indoor space is small and gets overcrowded quickly, but it's a nice option. Outside there is a large area with play structures (for the hounds!) and turf for them to run on. They have poop bags and scrub brushes to use if there is a poo on the turf. They have staff outside to monitor behavior and they're quick to get involved with the unlikely scuffle between pups. There are several picnic tables for the people and a garage door that opens to... A FULL BAR! The bar is stocked with a TON of options, and there is almost always an awesome food truck to get noms. Leah, the owner, is involved with the community as well. For example, during March, Women's History Month, proceeds from certain drink brands are donating money to Sojourner (if you're unfamiliar with the organization, they're incredible), and they are hosting pictures with the Easter Bunny for pups all 100% of proceeds go to the cause. Now I will preface this by saying we did bring his shot records and made sure his shots were up to date before we left.. so everything went extremely smooth enrolling him... I really love the fact that the whole week( except nap time) we could watch him on the cameras.... and man do the dogs get a good work out lol, poor Duke has been exhausted every day!!!
