Storm went for a trail play. Picked her up few hours later and she was soaked in pee. I was trying to get connected to a trainer (not group play). Took her back because the trainer said to come in before 9:30 and she was not there. So they put her in a room with over 20 other dogs. Waiting for the training evaluation. Which was fine to my knowledge. However, Storm contracted a terrible case of kennel cough. She's been throwing up and coughing non stop. Will never go back. read more

Our dogs love Camp Bow Wow in Morristown and always come home good and tired! I wish it was a little more updated, though! The cameras/camera angles are a little distorted and the outdoor spaces seem to be much smaller than the beautiful location in Rockaway (owned by the same owners!). I have a puppy that I wanted to bring to Camp Bow Wow for socialization with other dogs and humans. I could not be happier with this place and these people. Willow was hesitant on her first visit or two but now goes to them willingly. I can watch her during the day on the live cameras and that is a plus! We lost power during winter storm Quinn. Thankfully, Camp Bow Wow was able to take our pups, Margaret and Gerti when we had to move to a hotel for a few days. It's difficult being away from your best friends when you travel or have to be away from your pet. This is why when I pulled up the web cam today, I was in tears. The camp counselor assigned to the room my pups were in, made sure that every dog in her care felt special. She was petting each dog. Every single one of them. All of the dogs were wagging their tails and enjoying their day. It is so comforting to know that our dogs are being well taken care of as we wait for power to be restored. They are our family and Camp Bow Wow has truly "wowed" me today. read more

He is a rescue Pitt with high energy and Since he's been going to camp he has become less destructive and bored- I also decided to try the train and play with Jenn, she is the the trainer and he loves her.. she is awesome! Since she began working with him , while he is at camp and he has been much more manageable. I then signed up for the 6 week group training that she also leads at the Rockaway location once a week. Ive fostered, rescued and owed dogs my entire life and thought I knew what I was doing but I've learned a lot in just one hour. If you don't mind your dog going in "cabin" until 5 dogs arrive ---- then you'll be fine., My goal was to socialize/tire my dog.., when the facility opens there should be enough staff in every room whether there are 2 or 10 dogs... just know your dog goes in a crate/cabin until until they have 5!!! read more

We have sent our dog to Bow Wow in Morristown many times yet the past few times he has gone for a half day he has returned with Kennel Cough. He is up to date with all of his shots and even recently got a flu shot to prevent something like this again. Sadly I have learned that this sickness has more to due with the cleanliness of the facility. 100% NO. A HARD no. What a joke that they require an "interview" with your dog prior to taking your money. My 3 year old, gentle and small for her breed Golden Retriever was places in a kennel with pit bulls and Rottweilers once we left. That in NO way, NO how is that acceptable to me. My golden is small and I spent my 2 days away freaking out, watching my dog looking terrified and running away non stop. She also never once appeared on any cam on her last day. Because, according to them, she needed to be caged after being bathed. They didn't use her prescription shampoo I provided. This place is a running joke in my family as in "I hope the you behave or we will send you to Camp Bow Wow". K-9 resorts is a LOT better. My dog stays in a private room there with her own tv and they don't accept certain breeds. If you genuinely love your dog, please never use this business Update: by kennel, I did mean the "free play space" and apologize for my mistake. That said, my golden retriever did go for a "test visit" and obviously passed. That said, if anyone watched her for more than 10 minutes, they would know she absolutely does NOT belong in a shared space with pit bulls-- and she was. My golden is extremely gentle and non aggressive and prefers humans to other dogs. Watching her on the streaming cameras run and try to hide from dogs much larger than her ruined my vacation. There's no excuse to put a calm and shy dog into an open space with much larger and aggressive dogs. read more

Very disappointed... Our 10 year old lab was going to this camp in January, we thought it would be good for him to socialize and not be stuck at home all day while his humans were working. After the first few visits, our dog would come home smelling like feces and urine. We did notice that he was not using the bathroom while he was there and holding it all day. After speaking with the manager a few times, I asked if it was possible for them to take him out on a leash. The manager asked me to sign a paper, however, when I came in to sign, I was than notified that they do not do it, however they would make an exception. This exception did not happen. They had me sign a paper that didn't even state anything remotely close about walking a dog on a leash. After a month of this...we had enough and decided to pull our dog out, not even a few days later he was diagnosed with Kennel Cough. Upon reaching out to the manager, I was told "It is what it is"....NOT the answer you want to hear when your furry family member becomes ill. It has now been two months and our dog has been severely sick, it turned into an pneumonia and was admitted to the ER last week. I have reached out to the owner and corporate. The owner was kind of to call me back the first time this came about, and said he would be happy to refund our vet visit. It then took several weeks to receive anything from them...when we did it was a personal check?!?!!! Who sends a personal check...someone who doesn't want corporate to know how the facilities are. I am very disappointed with my experience at Camp Bow Wow, and now our vet bills are out of control since this Kennel Cough has turned into much more... Being that I did not receive a phone call back, I am now putting this review on Yelp. Beware...this camp seems like a good idea, but they do not clean up after other dogs and just let their clients lay in urine all day. read more

I love this place. My dog has been going for daycare and boarding for several years now. She is getting a little older and not as interested in visiting with the other dogs so I inquired about modifying her stay there. They are now offering individualized services- in addition to their regular programs. I am so happy about this. I wish I could leave zero stars. I used this place a while ago and never went back. My dog was attacked and almost had it's ear ripped off clean. It needed surgery. It was devastating. The location has a whole bunch of kids working here that appear to have zero energy with the dogs and don't look like they enjoy working. picked up my parents' puppy a couple days ago and am horrified. I'm a nurse and this dog smelled so bad, it was one of the worst smells I've ever smelled in my entire career. His behavior now is so unlike the happy-go-lucky puppy we dropped off, he is now depressed and low energy. I'd like to know why he was WET when I picked him up also. He had feces-encrusted mats behind both ears that smelled like a rotting corpse. It took hours to clip them off. I'm afraid of what might have been done to him there when the cameras were off. My 1 year old lab absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow. We have brought him here a few times for daycare and he loves being able to play all day with the other dogs and comes home exhausted. This type of facility very much suites our dogs needs, which is active play and interaction all day. We tried another location that kenneled him right away and only gave an hour of playtime in increments where at Camp Bow Wow, he is able to play all day and get the social interaction he needs and not be isolated to his space. We are boarding him here overnight as well and know he is in great hands while we are away! I highly recommend this location/Camp Bow Wow in general to anyone looking for daycare/boarding. read more

All I have to do is "camp bow wow" at home and he gets excited...what else do I need? I have to comment on some of the comments... * dogs walking in circles... - have you ever been to a dog park? after initial excitement, many dogs just kind of start to relax...some play like maniacs, others chill...dogs tend to cycle energy, rest, energy, rest...and in the afternoons you'll see many just laying on their sides, quite content. * Concrete floors.....indoor facility and very easy to clean and disinfect concrete floors. * dogs go where they are playing......have you ever been to a dog park? they pee and crap everywhere.... t hey're smart enough to avoid walking in pee and poop and with olfactory senses 600x more sensitive than ours they can detect the smallest amount of either. if you want to coddle your dog and spend over $100 day, go to the Morris animal inn..I'm sure it's world class, but these are DOGS for crying out loud... most have fun, and most come home very tired! Found out about this place about six months ago from a friend who recommended thIs place. I have used them twice already and my dog loves it there...She gets plenty of time playing with other dogs inside and outside and webget to watch her on the video app .. she comes home happy and tired lol ...On my last visit which was this past week they called me to tell me that my dog needed a shot that had expired and they called their veterinarian after I okayed it and gave her the missing shot ... I like the fact that they are so strict with the vaccinations to avoid other dogs from possibly getting ill ... I started bringing our 20 week old Portuguese Water Dog to this daycare and he loves it. There's no separation anxiety and he seems very happy to go inside. I forgot to bring his lunch a few times and the staff was very helpful and provided food for him. They also have a space for him to rest after eating, which he needs as a puppy. I brought my dog here because his vet recommended daycare for socialization. I told the workers at the interview that he was there purely for stimulation and hoped that the playtime would help him out. He passed the interview and I brought him the next day while I was working. I watched him on the camera and he was just standing around. I thought he was nervous but all the dogs were just standing there too. There is absolutely nothing for them to do. I checked in later. He is still standing around. The one time I did see him playing nicely with a dog, which I was happy about, the worker broke it up. It's like they just want them to stand there. There are no toys, tunnels, jumps or anything. Defeats the whole purpose of bringing him to socialize and be stimulated. When I picked him up, I asked how his day was and the worker barely answered me. I asked again she said that she guessed it was fine. They forgot to give me his food and bowl back and I had to ask for it. They gave it to me and rudely told me that he didn't eat or drink anything all day. He has had diarrhea since he stayed there a week ago and he was only there for 8 hours. He vomited on the ride home. I will be finding another place to bring him that will stimulate and socialize him properly and with workers who enjoy being around dogs and are willing to talk to me at the end of the day. Update to the owner's response: it is really easy for you to respond from your desk while you have my file with notes sitting in front of you. If my dog didn't drink all day, it was because he was not offered water...all day. He is obsessed with water and will drink as much as is put in front of him. He may have never played off leash but he has played with dogs at a park on leash and has never had any problems at all and has played with a friend's dog in her yard off leash with no problems. When I picked up my dog there was no one else waiting in the lobby to pick up. Plenty of time to talk. I am paying for this service and I understand it may be busy at times but taking a few minutes out of the day is the least you can do when I left my baby in your care. As a teacher, no matter how busy I am, I would never be rude to the parent of a student in my care. read more

We brought our puppy here for a trial and when she wasnt busy being humped or forcibly slammed to the ground by bigger dogs, she was literally just standing there in a plain cement room with a ton of other dogs looking bored. Absolutely no interaction from the teenagers(?) that work there. The trial is supposed to be 3 hours long but we picked her up early because we just couldn't stand watching her in that room getting attacked by the same dog over and over again while nobody helped her. This place is great if you want to drop a couple hundred on a trip to the doctor. They don't clean the facilities and let the dogs use the bathroom in the same area the dogs are "playing in" if you call it playing. It is more of a concrete floor they are allowed to walk around in circles in. read more

I've left my Labradoodle here for a few hours' of playtime over the past 6 months (maybe he's been here 4-5 times). Then I left him for one overnight and that seemed fine. Finally, we were going to be away for 9 nights and left him in Camp Bow Wow's care. I left a cell number where we could be reached in Italy should there be any issues or if he were to get sick. I told them that cell phone would be the only one working in Europe, so please call if you need to speak with us. We figured we could then tell the camp how to handle anything that might come up. Well, when we went to retrieve Simba (mind you, we didn't hear anything from the camp the entire time we were gone, so assumed all was fine - I could not access the web cams in Italy), he was literally as sick as a dog. My husband brought Simba home and told me Simba had acquired kennel cough, but the camp thought he was doing fine after a few days and he had been much worse a few days previously (I can't imagine how much worse he could have been - he was so lethargic and sick when we got him). I immediately called and spoke to a woman at Camp Bow Wow who explained that Simba began coughing after a few days, like the third or fourth day. I asked why we didn't get a call. I was told he seemed fine after a few days in the cabin (a crate of sorts). So my poor dog was left alone in a cabin most of the time, isolated, and no one treated him. She told me a veterinary technician (not a vet) did take a look at him and said he was over the worst and kennel cough was viral so nothing could be done. She also told me Michael, the owner, would call me to discuss this, but guess what? He never did. By the time I got Simba to our vet the next day, I discovered he had bronchitis (not VIRAL - it had turned bacterial over time) and borderline pneumonia. $250 and 10 days later, Simba is fine, thank goodness. But he was so sick when we got him home from the camp, he didn't even respond to seeing us back home again. He didn't eat for two days and we had to force him to drink. He had the equivalent of 103-degree fever. So, why didn't we get a phone call?? An email? Anything?? And I paid good money to have him isolated and sick for 9 nights? Never again. Going to Morris Animal Inn and private daycare from now on. read more

This is hands down the best doggy daycare in the area. The staff are so friendly and make our Lily feel welcome and happy. She is a very anxious dog, especially around people, so the fact that she loves everyone there makes it easier when we have to leave her for the day or board her. The staff are incredibly attentive and with the dogs all day so you never have to worry about play getting too rough or fights - they make sure all the dogs are safe and having fun! People who care about your dog are running Camp Bow Wow. Dogs came home happy. I was worried as it was the first time they had ever been away from home. They were fine after 4 days. My dogs did not come home sick or hurt or dirty. I checked many times on the video cam and saw that people were always with the dogs. They interacted with the animals which made me feel assured. We called several times because we were delayed at the airport for our return. Staff answered the phone and the gentleman I spoke to was very polite and helpful and the person closing that night offered to stay a little later so we could pick them up. This is based on my personal experience. On 8/1/15 we brought two family pets to Camp Bow Wow for a 3 hr trial. Both of our dogs, who reside separately, came down with veterinarian diagnosed kennel cough the next week. Camp Bow Wow was aware one of the two dogs didn't have a bordatella shot in the last six months. They refuse to pay the vet bill and offer no apology. They offered to board our sick dogs and give them the meds but this would expose all the dogs! All dogs at the site were obviously exposed to kennel cough on 8/1 but no letter was sent to pet owners. The manager Mike said he would reimburse half at first. We are out cost of two vet bills, meds, time lost from work taking dog to vet, etc. No reimbursement was given. Beware! read more

We have been sending our dog to Camp Bow Wow for nearly two years. We had an excellent experience at another location, the Morris location is another story. Our last visit in July left our boxer with bleeding cuts covering his body and staff who had no clue that our dog had been in their care all day. In fact, they questioned whether or not they released the correct dog to me upon pick up. He had previously been fed treats after we asked specifically for him not to have any and our dog had explosive diarrhea for nearly a week. They are incapable of following directions, have no organization with checking in and out of dogs (they have incorrectly checked our dog in on multiple occasions) and their customer service skills are lacking as our efforts via phone, email and Facebook have gone unnoticed and disregarded for six weeks and counting. We have contacted Corporate Camp Bow Wow and will continue to make other dog owners aware of this sub par facility. read more
