CAMP BOW WOW is a drive for us and out of our way but I don't mind taking the drive for PEACE OF MIND! After doing a LOT of research Camp Bow Wow stayed at the top of my list. So I finally reached out, did the application process, scheduled Bruno's Interview and now Camp Bow Wow will be our first choice from here on out. There are a lot of requirements but in the end I'm so happy they are as detailed as they are!! If we had to go through as much as we did to get Bruno approved that means everyone else did too. LIVE FEED: YESSSS I love love love this perk of Camp Bow Wow. I can peek in at my fluffy boy at any time to see what he is up to, see who he is playing with etc. EMPLOYEES: I have been to many places that involve dog lovers but the employees at Camp Bow Wow LOVE and appreciate every little and big dog there. They have the patients, the love, the drive, to be around these hyper pups ALL DAY LONG. NEVER ALONE: One amazing thing that stands out to me about Camp Bow Wow is that there is someone with your pup that is Dog CPR Certified AT ALL TIMES when they are in the play room. YES, AT ALL TIMES. ^__^ All of our pups get a LOT of attention. WA LOCATIONS: As of right now I think Monroe is the only Location in WA State. Cant wait till more locations open up so we can plan road trips around Camp Bow Wow. Bellingham would be a great place to have one. I brought my dog in for his first time interview and had a concerning experience. While reviewing the video cams tons of times through his two hour visit, I had noticed that there wasn't much supervision in the play area. My dog was separated from the main group with two other dogs in an empty kennel. All other workers were supervising other kennels and had only visited within the first twenty minutes. This felt concerning to me as this was my dog's first visit here, and the first time meeting these other dogs. I felt first time visit supervision should've been taken more seriously as these dogs are unfamiliar with each other. During that time, there were many urine spots on the floor that were not attended to and continued to be spread all over the floor. Lastly, the dog he was paired with continued to show inappropriate aggression towards my dog as I noticed through the cam. Open mouth, ears back, cornering behavior, while my dog was pushed against the wall. During those times and after, no supervision or redirection was given as they did not notice and no one was present. My dog is a very non confrontational skiddish guy and will not correct if he is uncomfortable, they were aware of his behavior prior, said he did great and that there were no issues whatsoever with him or any dogs. He also attends daycare regularly at another private daycare facility and has no alarming behavior with friends. With the unsanitary conditions and inappropriate behavior as well as a lack of supervision I would feel uncomfortable leaving my dog in their care again. The staff were nice, helpful, and welcoming; great with the scheduling process yet that's the only thing I can take away from the visit. read more

My pet sitter fell through at the last minute, and I contacted Camp bow wow in Monroe for emergency dog boarding. I was due to give birth in 5 days and desperately needed somewhere to board my dogs. They have an amazing "interview" process with the dogs where they give a free day of daycare while your dogs are introduced to their surroundings, the other dogs, and the staff. They have an app you can download to watch video surveillance of your dogs. The only downside to this location is that they don't have an outdoor area, so the dogs urinate and defecate in the concrete play yard. While this isn't typically a problem with house trained/older dogs, it's not ideal for puppies. My 7yr dog did fantastic, my 11month old dog came home confused and started urinating on the floor. She seemed to have lost some of her house training while she was boarded for 4 or so nights. This is not a negative review for the facility, just an FYI for owners of young dogs. The staff were all amazing, and the clients that I interacted with all seemed very happy. They give out super cute photo milestones of your dogs too read more

My dog's favorite place to come pay with his friends and get even more attention from the workers, who all treat him as if he was part their family. Perfect for playtime or for overnight stays on your short trip needs. My dog gets greeted by name upon arrival, and sleeps better than normal after getting all of his evergy out after a day of play. This review is purely only for the grooming area. I know they are not known for their grooming, but they offer it and if you go there, you will pay for it. I paid double the amount for a horrible job compared to what I normally get for half price. The staff seemed nice and friendly, other than that, I do not know as I've never boarded my dogs there, nor went to their camp. I'm sure their camp and boarding are great.., etc there dogs seemed happy to go. maybe just do not go for the grooming only. ...unless you have a dog that just needs a bath. Cooper, my corgi, has been going to Camp Bow Wow for almost six months when I go out of town, and my experiences have always been top notch. My most recent trip, I was traveling for work across the country. While I was gone, Cooper's face was very swollen and sensitive to the touch. The manager, Taylor, called me sent me pictures of his face. Well, when you're across the country, there's really not much you can do to fix the situation. The manager actually took his own personal time to take Cooper all the way to his vet in Lynnwood and ensure appropriate care. First time I signed up everyone was very nice to me and they love my dog, however a little over a month into it my dog stayed there overnight and got kennel cough. They never advised us that there was kennel cough going around. That kennel cough turned into pneumonia couple of days later and when I called to let them know that my dog kennel cough from there they told me that they haven't had kennel cough in years there. My dog was an emergency room for several days but we saved his life. cost was over $10,000 but thank goodness my dog was OK. I live in a neighborhood where a lot of people go to camp Bow Wow and at least two of my neighbors informed me that their dogs also got kennel cough there about the same time if not sooner than when my dog got it. I was very upset that they lied to me and not informed me about this kennel cough going around that cost almost my dogs life and of course cost my bank account all kinds of money. I am extremely disappointed and upset that my little baby girl was being kept in a "cabin" for a few hours. When I called the next day to see why I could not see my dog, or in fact any dog, with the cameras, the manager said we keep the dogs in a cabin for only 1 hour for routine cleaning and sanitation. However, my dog was kept in a cabin from 4 PM until my husband picked her up at 6:15 PM. That's more than 2 hours. This was never communicated with me in the beginning and it was not mentioned anywhere in the paper works. My dog gets very anxious in a kennel or very small spaces and if I was aware of this routine, I would never leave her at this day care. read more

This place is great!!! Everyone is so friendly. They know my dog by name. He especially loves the gal who I believe is the manager or owner. He goes crazy as soon as we turn in the parking lot and jets across the lobby to her so excited. I love that I can get him a bath, nails trimmed and a blueberry facial while he's there and I pick him up with a cute bandanna on looking fresh. He's always worn out after just a half day of play and usually falls asleep on the car ride home. My dog was and is fully vaccinated and she never around other animals. I took her to Camp Bow Wow for grooming, within in 72 hours she started to cough. I had to take to vet and it was diagnosed that she had developed kennel cough. I told the manager about the incident and they made excuses and blew it off. Today, we had taken them in for grooming and after a 3-1/2 hour duration and a $200.00 bill they came back soaking wet and we were told to by a so called manager to dry them off with a towel if we didn't like it. We were showing at the fairgrounds and didn't realize they don't allow dogs. We were in a pinch to find someplace to keep our dog out of the heat for the day. The staff here was efficient and so helpful. They checked our shot records and had gas booked within minutes. The location is conveniently located by the fairgrounds. I can not say enough good things about this place and the people. I adopted my Dusty last December from a shelter and it became clear, quickly, that, although she LOVED people, she did not care to be around any other dogs. She was just about a year old and would go crazy barking if she even saw another dog, which made it very difficult to take her for walks. She had been a stray for a long time before she came into the shelter. I was really concerned about her. The vet said we need to socialize her as much as possible. I saw the sign for camp bow wow and told them of the issue I was having. They did her initial interview process, which she did not pass. We waited for a little while and tested her again and she did pass. I was able to watch her daily on the web cam which made me so much more comfortable. Flash forward, Dusty is a completely different dog. She no longer goes crazy barking when she sees another dog, she plays with the other dogs in the play yard and I am able to take her for walks. The combination of a stable home environment and Camp Bow Wow has turned her precious little life around. She is a happy, well adjusted girl and I am so happy I found this place. I just love their report cards when I pick her up and know that she had a good (or a bad, lol) day. read more
