I have to say that I have read multiple reviews about this establishment, however I completely disagree with any negative reviewers. My husband and I have been bringing our Husky (Odin) to this location since he was six months old, and we have had nothing but positive feedback about this daycare. Odin is an extremely energetic and boisterous lad who has endless energy and loves to interact with other dogs. (It was a struggle to bring him to dog parks and on walks due to his high energy.) Initially, we feared that he would be overwhelming and obnoxious to an (assumed) inexperienced staff at a "chain" location. To the contrary, the staff has been nothing but professional and patient with our pup. We drop him off two-three times per week, and they are so welcoming and receptive when it comes to dealing with his difficult "play" traits. They are not only courteous, but they even let us drop him off at 7:55 which is five minutes before they even open! I always know that he is going to have a great time at camp, and they are happy to take pictures of him and give us a complete rundown of his day. I might add that they are very flexible when we spontaneously need to board him or suddenly need to have him groomed--they make it happen. The staff is paramount to the experience as they are all passionate about dogs and specific dog behaviors. The following staff members (after getting to know them) are particularly excellent with Odin: Stefanie, Angela, Natalie, and Kim. All of these ladies are dedicated to their job, and we feel confident leaving our little trouble-maker in their hands. We were hesitant to try a "chain" when we adopted our pup from a rescue, however; they have been nothing but accommodating and consistent. I can't speak for other locations, but I can say with certainty that the Middlesex camp is excellent. read more

as a customer and bulldog owner i would like to touch on the topic of casper the "attack" dog. first there are three sides to every story. yours, mine and what really happened. i say this because each individual has a different perception or description as to what had happened. neither being right or wrong, just different. we are often to quick to criticize those involved instead of taking a moment to realize things could have been worse. i understand finnegan's owner being upset as this is a natural response to any incident when your loved one is involved. loved one being a pet, child or parent. however, incidents do occur on a daily basis. children push each other on the playground and scrape their knees. parents fall as they get older and break bones. dogs are pack animals and like children today they play and socialize, tomorrow they quarrel and even discipline each other in their own way. when we have an accident we do not have our vehicle taken away. when siblings hit each other they are not banned from the family. if the "attack" dog attends day care on a daily basis, that is proof the dog interacts and socializes well with other dogs. when we can not care for our loved ones we depend on facilities such as camp bow wow to care for them. if in doubt, view the web cam's and see the tlc these pets receive from the staff. the facility is impeccable! but most of all, remember we do not live in a perfect world nor are you perfect! neither am i! no blood was drawn, no broken bones and you both went home together at the end of the day! read more

I am the proud owner of a 13 pound toy fox terrier and who is enrolled in "Boot Camp" at Camp Bow Wow in Middlesex. He is very shy and I had never exposed him to very many dogs until I was introduced to Camp Bow Wow. Previously, I was forced to drive 120 miles for my daughter to dog sit for me, because I didn't know that such a competent and wonderful facility was available. Jen, the owner did explain the pre-entrance qualification policy to me. It was quite involved with a structured observation and socialization testing. I did thoroughly explain my reservations of my dog being able to handle other dogs, let alone very actively social guys. He would rather be in a room full of cats. He was accepted and all the staff was instructed on my dog's unusual personality ticks (ex. removal or coaxing from his cage to enter the play area, and even gentle arrival greeting from the staff. The staff attentatively monitor their activites in the Day Care Area and keep the area immaculate. I'm sorry about Ann's experience, but some dogs do like to play and they can play rough. Dogs will be dogs. I joke, but I feel my dog has graduated from basic training. The Middlesex Camp Bow Wow and their staff have transformed him from a cat to a dog. Dog Has a Great Time We have recently become clients of Camp Bow Wow and our golden retriever adores the place. He is a 1 1/2 years old so he still has a fair amount of energy, thus running it off with other dogs is perfect. After leaving him for a week while away he came home happy and exhausted. I looked in on him a few times on the cameras and he always seemed to be having an awesome time. As for those concerned with safety, I know my dog is prone to rough and tumble play (stemming from his belief he's still a puppy and a desire for puppy play). When he began this sort of play he was stopped quickly by the attendant with the dogs. Therefore, I have found them to be very proactive in ensuring the safety of all the dogs. One thing that really impressed me was the employees learned my dog's name and temperment pretty much immediately (despite the many other dogs there). Therefore, I felt like it really was a proper caring daycare enviornment. The only improvements I would make would to be get higher resolution cameras (as is it can be difficult to tell the difference between dogs when there are 4 of the same breed) and a bath standard after boarding. He came back rather dirty and it was a bit of a pain needing to get him bathed right when he got home because he was so filthy. read more

My 16 month old, Titan, absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow in Middlesex! Every time we turn the corner and he spots the sign, he starts wagging his tail and barking with pure excitement. The staff are true dog lovers who genuinely understand and embrace his high energy--they always go out of their way to make him feel welcome and loved. Titan has stayed for both daycare and boarding, and I feel confident leaving him, knowing he's in great hands. The team treats him like family, and they go above and beyond to ensure he's comfortable and happy. Their extra enrichment sessions give him special one-on-one time that he thrives on, and it's clear they pay attention to his individual needs. They even have live cameras, which give me peace of mind and let me see how much fun he's having. We've tried other places in the area, but none have made both Titan and me as happy as Camp Bow Wow Middlesex. The care, attention, and personal touch they provide is unmatched, and I'd recommend them wholeheartedly to any pet owner looking for a place that treats your dog as one of their own. I cannot say enough good things about this doggy daycare--partly because the staff is incredible, and partly because I'm still in awe that they willingly accept Buster, my lovable hurricane in dog form. From the moment you walk in, you can tell the people here are dog people in the purest sense. They greet every pup like a long-lost friend, including mine, who tends to enter every building the way a rock star enters a hotel room: loudly, dramatically, and with zero regard for the furniture. But the staff? Unshaken. Patient. Smiling. Professionals. It's like they all took advanced courses in "Chaos Wrangling 101." They love these dogs, and the dogs love them right back. I've never once worried about Buster when he's there--mostly because he comes home tired, happy, and miraculously not banned. They deserve raises, medals, vacations, monuments--whatever it takes to keep this magical team around. If your dog is sweet, anxious, wild, or (like mine) a little of everything, this place can handle it with love and humor. Seriously: five stars, two paws up, and one very exhausted Buster. read more

I have been taking my dog Rambo to Camp Bow Wow in Middlesex for a few months now and have to say it's great!! We take our now 9 month old dog occasionally if we have to go away for the weekend or have plans one day and he absolutely loves it. At first I was a bit skeptical as to how my dog would be treated but after logging in to the doggie cams the first time he went to CBW and seeing how much fun he's having all my worries went away. The staff is great and makes sure Rambo is comfortable with any food, treats, toys, blankets, or anything he needs. I have even called to check up on him to see how he is doing and the staff is more than happy to give me a report. When Rambo comes home he is exhausted from running around all day and def needs time to recuperate from his busy day. I would absolutely recommend CBW to anyone who is considering it!! I also have to note that the prices are very good as compared to some others in the area - which is a big plus! read more

As long as Camp Bow Wow Middlesex has been open is how long we've been using for our 2 dogs. I love the cameras to view on phone or laptop. I always get them baths before they come home and cut if need be. If you call or email them they are quick to respond. I am even asked if I want my 2 girls sleeping in seperate bed areas or together and I always put them together to make them feel better being away from home. All in all never had a problem. Having next door One of the Family Pet Supply is also a plus. If I have to spend the money I'd rather keep it local instead of the big chain food stores, plus they have better quality. If I really had any issues is I would love to see them sleeping but that's just a Mama speaking.... read more

The staff at camp bow wow middlesex are loving, caring, dedicated individuals who treat my little guy as if he was their own. My dog is like a child to me and I have never felt uncomfortable leaving him in their hands. Camp is very accomidating and willing to work with you and your dog to make their time there the most comfortable and playful exerience possible. I don't trust my little guy with many and fully trust he's well taken care of, having a blast, and is always safe at camp. We have been using Camp Bow Wow in Middlesex for a year and a half now. Our dog has stayed there for weeks at a time and for occasional weekends. She absolutely loves it! She gets crazy excited whenever we pull into the parking lot. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They pay close attention to their campers (dogs) and always let us know how she was doing during her visit. If anything comes up during her stay, they call us right away. The camper cams are a great way to check in on our pup while she's there. It's great seeing her run and play. I'm never worried about her while she's at Camp Bow Wow. read more

I have never had any issues at Camp Bow Wow Middlesex. Both my babies have stayed over night several times and just recently went in for grooming. Both got baths and cuts and came out looking so adorably cute. I think going elsewhere for grooming is so much more stressful on the dogs because there is so many dogs, it's loud and too much going on at the other larger pet stores. Camp Bow Wow Middlesex is a lot less stressful which doesn't make the dogs so nervous. My girls will be going back for grooming once it gets hotter to get another cut. All happy campers on this end. I love this place! My puppy gets plenty of play time and socialization with other dogs. Staff members are SO nice and I feel so comfortable leaving my dog there. Staff was also very patient with me and answered all my questions. Initially, you do an interview process which they take very seriously, which was an extra comforting factor for me. They don't just throw your dog in with the other dogs, they let her get acquainted to the facilities first, then introduce her to one dog to see how she reacts. We have been using the Middlesex Camp Bow wow for well over a year. The staff is friendly. They are kind to the dogs and we have never had an issue with our dog getting hurt or neglected. I use the camper cams a lot not only because I'm bored at work but its fun to watch our dog play with the others. We have also used the over-night stay service and are very satisfied there as well. We just got back from a 6 day vacation and our dog came back to us none the worse for wear. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

My dog LOVES the days he gets to go to daycare, and I can tell he's having a great time when I check on him throughout the day on their website, which is a great feature. I've used camp bow wow of Staten Island years ago, back in 2009 and was very at ease leaving my precious girl there. She has since passed and we recently welcomed our little Bing. Bing stayed at camp at just 4 months old (he just made the age requirement) and i never felt nervous leaving him with the staff at the camp. My Bodie LOVES going to camp here. He cant wait to get in the door and get to his buddies ! I have also boarded Bodie a couple of times and he comes home tired and happy. I love that I can check in my pup at anytime throughout the day. All the staff is very nice, friendly, and welcoming! I have been taking my german shepherd here for about a month and she seems to LOVE it. We bring our dog there almost every week for regular play, often for half-days or whole days, sometimes for overnights. We find the staff very friendly and professional, and think it is a very well-run business. Our dog is on regular medicines to control a chronic illness (Addison's disease), and the staff is super about it. We have taken our dog to many of these play facilities, and I rank this one as one of the highest in quality. read more
