I've been taking my dog Rocket here for a few months now and it's been the best. The staff here is so nice and helpful. They have fun activities for the dogs to keep them busy. They got enrichment every day and throughout the month they have themed days which is so fun. They're active on instagram so it's nice to see how much they enjoy being with the pups. If you're worried about staff not caring about the dogs, trust me they do. These are people who actually love dogs and aren't just clocking in to get a check. They split up the dogs based on size (i'm assuming) and they all have outdoor spaces to roam around and play. I like how there's cameras for me to check in on my boy while i'm at work, gives me peace of mind especially in the beginning. Rocket is a very anxious dog but he's gotten very comfortable with coming here. He used to be timid with the staff (he's not the biggest fan of people lol) but within a month he was letting them pet him and not clinging to me as much when dropping him off. They have packages every month with good deals (like buy 10 days get one free, buy 10 days get 5 enrichment days free, etc) that I always opt for. They have great hours too, they open at 6:30 on weekdays which is perfect for my 7am start time at work. They're open until 7 but sometimes if I get out of work a little late I can call and come pick him up at like 7:15 if I need. I haven't used the onboarding services or other ones, I just drop him off in the morning and pick him up after work. I love this place and they really ease my nerves as a first-time dog mom in her 20s figuring all this out lol. I will say that I personally haven't had a bad experience with this person, but my boyfriend has mentioned that the blonde lady at the front desk has an attitude and I've seen it with other customers. There's a good amount of reviews stating problems with her attitude, I just haven't interacted much with her. Otherwise everybody else has always been kind and super helpful. I had superb customer service from all of the staff at CBW Bridgewater. I checked in on him every couple days and received prompt, and polite email responses that my guy was doing great, etc... So I really appreciated that, and relieved any worry we had when we were on vacation, and allowed us to enjoy our time more. Worst place ever. Our pup had his meet and greet/assessment and he was accepted. We did, however, warn them that our pup is not fond of hoses and would attack it if given the opportunity. He's been there a few times for daycare and did well. We had to board him for five days this week. We warned the enrichment counselor to not put him in the class with the sprinkler. They did anyway. Were you not listening to our warning. We picked him up today and asked how he did. They said he ate his food and loved to lay in the sun. However, the fat blonde lady interjected and said our pup was dismissed from camp bow wow because the hoses are too expensive. Hey fat lady, did you and your staff not pay attention to our warnings. I cannot, in good conscious give a better rating, but when he was poked and prodded in the nether-region by another dog, he jumped at the other dog (it tripped) and they said he pinned this dog down. No real explanation, a very clipped video, and with no clear representation of pinning down. They banned him from every Camp Bow Wow across the country. They cited the 'policy', but who decides? Who reviews the video. I asked for answers, but they promised follow up and (surprise), no one called me back. As for other red flags ignored: 1. They sent my dog home with a Bloody hole bit into his side - suture sized, but too late to fix. WHen I pointed it out, no one offered to review video to see how it was done and by whom. And it was the groomer who pointed it out, so clearly they are understaffed.. 2. They sent my dog home 2x with whooping cough. Once is bad but TWICE? 3. When I called in about these issuesthe manager (I will not name) was incredibly defensive telling me why that was the case and that they cannot watch everything. Now that I have found alernative care, he is once again in a place of love and they confirm that he is the sweet and loving boy that he is, I am hearing from a lot of people about the overpopulation of this facility. When we adopted Maverick a little less than a year ago, I talked to my husband about wanting to find a place that offered both day camp and boarding. I was very leary at first because I worked at a similar place years ago and left because I didn't like their practices. (lying to customers, making employees gather all info about the caller to put in their system even if they were just calling to find out information.) Because of this, I was nervous at first and had my guard up. There was no pressure when we called this facility; they were very friendly. Maverick loves going to camp (about once a week), and we can't even say "camp" at home because he gets very excited thinking we are bringing him there. He is always exhausted when he gets home. Besides camp, we have boarded him once for one night to see how he did, and we also use them for the occasional bath and monthly nail trim. Overall, very happy and would recommend them. read more

I took my pitbull there for a full day. I picked her up and took her on a walk right after. While walking my dog I noticed a tick on her head so I pulled it off easily which means it was fresh. After this we went back home and I decide to check her for more ticks. And I found multiple bite marks all over her body. Some were still bleeding with chunks of her hair coming out. Also on her shoulders(where more of the bites were located) her fur seems shorter like she had tape on her or as if someone has shaved that part of her shoulder. This is absolutely not acceptable. I understand dogs get at it and maybe they couldn't separate the dogs fast enough but they should have told us what happen which they didn't. My dog was super scared the whole night. She would flinch everytime I would pet her. She wouldn't get up. She wasn't following us around the house. My dog was completely terrified. I called up right away and talk to Trish the manager on duty and she wasn't helpful at all. I also went in the next dog to show them what happen. And there weren't taking responsibility for what happen. They said it looked like a scratch. I wanted an explanation as to why this happen to my dog? I'm paying them to watch my dog and they can't tell me what happen to her? They are the worst. Please DO NOT take your dog there. Two days after the incident and my poor dog isn't her self. I will tell this story to everybody I can because I wouldn't want this to happen to any other dog. Your dogs are safer at home, they might be bored but believe me it's better than paying for your dog to come out of camp hurt and scared with no explanation as to what happen. My dog is very friendly and mostly sits as I look at the camera and have pictures also no one contacted me prior to arrival when I had my dog signed up for an activity. I had a rough start at this facility. I've used the Morris Plains Camp Bow Wow and thought this one would be similar. The Bridgewater location is closer to home so better for days I work from home. I spoke to someone at the place the day before I brought him and got all the vaccine records transferred over. But when I arrived the next day I was faced with the rudest front desk woman. She made me wait outside (wouldn't even let me or my dog inside when it was very cold out) while she checked to make sure my dog's records had been transferred over from Morris Plains. Then when I brought him in I told her I'd like to have them put some chicken stock in his kibble for lunch. Again, extremely rude about telling me how they don't provide lunch and I need to bring his lunch. Then she changed and said they can provide lunch but she's pretty sure they don't have chicken stock. I asked if I could bring his toy for him to have when he goes to his cabin to rest and she said it's not allowed due to COVID. It was so ridiculous because if the toy has COVID germs on it, wouldn't my puppy also have COVID germs on him?! Morris Plains Camp Bow Wow doesn't have that crazy rule. While watching him on the video at the place, I noticed he was put in with the tiny dogs. No problem there but I also noticed no one was watching them for at least 10 minutes. At this point my puppy was being nipped at by a smaller dog and he seemed so confused. At the other Camp Bow Wow facility, I see him so happy and running around playing with no issues. But that's usually because there's someone supervising the dogs. Someone finally showed up but by that time I decided I couldn't leave him at the place and picked him up and left. I mentioned to the woman at the front desk that I was surprised at the level of negativity coming from her towards me and my dog and she said it was because they're really busy. Alicia has been the Best of the best trainers I have worked with!! Her understanding of doggie behaviors as well as people's makes her particularly excellent. It's not often that I'm so impressed as to write a review... but, in this case I felt it was more than warranted! I didn't get anything done at work yesterday. Why? Because I was watching my dog, Daisy, have SOOOOOO much fun at Camp Bow Wow on their webcams. What a fantastic experience. Daisy made so many friends, both dog and human, and really enjoyed her time here. She wouldn't even get in the car when I picked her up! That's the first time that's happened. And today she is just exhausted and content. Camp Bow Wow has a fantastic staff. This place is really top notch. And, to boot, it's affordable. Coupons for packages that net out to $17 a day works out to less expensive than my dog walker...And this experience is definitely what Daisy prefers. I brought my 2 Labradoodles for the DayCamp and they loved it! Camp Bow Wow offers many other services as well and I look forward to using them. I like that the daycare has not only indoor day camp but each section has their own outdoor area. My dogs are use to the doggie door at home so this put me at ease. I also LOVE the available App to check in on your dog. It is live footage of what's going on at daycare and it gives me peace to know my dogs are having fun and are being supervised as well. How appropriate to be yelping about dog daycare. Well, there's lots of yelping, howling, barking and tail wagging going on in here, its a real doghouse! Okay. Enough. Okay. Our lab, who is not quite a year old, just loves the place, she can't wait to get in there. Dogs & owners get interviewed before getting accepted - a formality really, but a good practice I think, it identifies special needs - and dogs over 6 months have to be neutered/spayed, and bordella twice a year is required. We have not boarded our dog here as yet, but daycare is open 7 - 7, and the big plus is having a quiet and tired and happy pet for the rest of the evening. Another benefit - this especially for lab owners - our dog is pulls a lot less on her leash after spending a couple of days a week playing all day with other dogs. The staff is really friendly, the place is run efficiently, and is clean and relatively spacious, w different dog play areas for different sized dogs - its a big old converted warehouse and its conveniently located. Dog grooming is on premises too. Every once in a while they'll do silly things like a fancy dress ball and dress up your dog in a tux or gown & take pictures. I actually like to start and end my work day at Camp BowWow - w the drop & pickup - its my dog affection fix. read more

We took out Rotty here for the introduction and then did an overnight to see how she would do. She did great and loves going to Camp Bow Wow. She gets to play all day and we can watch her on the camera's. Everyone there are super friendly and seem to really love their jobs and being with the Dogs. The dogs all seem to have fun together and it is just a great thing for them. We looked at other places and they kept the dogs locked us all day and you had to pay for them to go out to the bathroom and to play. There is no way we would ever put our puppy in that situation. Already turned off by this place since they won't accept my almost 3 1/2 month old boxer puppy (their minimum is 4 months). They won't accept any puppy until they've had their rabies shot...well guess what, most vets wont give the rabies shot until they're 6 months. Note: She is up-to-date on her puppy shots (distemper/parva/bortadella). So I have a sweet little puppy at home with separation anxiety and here I am, willing to shell out some serious money, and they can't make an exception? Have been with camp bow wow for years. Very spacious. Not your usual "pet Hotels" that does not offer adequate space for large dogs. Also, the hotels don't have the indoor/outdoor availability that camp offers. They send you pictures on your phone throughout the stay. You can call them anytime to ask how your babies are doing. Staff never sounds like your bothering them. Owners are great. They treat your dog as their own. read more

I am so sad to see all the negative reviews of Camp Bow Wow in Bridgewater because I and my dog, Saul, have had nothing but a great experience with Randy, Sherry and the entire staff. It needs to be prefaced that Saul began going to CBW in April 2015 and goes, on average, 3 days per week. He is dropped off between 7-8am and picked up when they close, at 7pm. I have taken advantage of the grooming services, but have not had the need to have him stay overnight, yet. I started bringing Saul to CBW when I found out that their daycamp packages ended up being more cost effective than having a dog walker! And there are 2 bonuses: first, you don't have a stranger coming into your house and second, your dog gets to play an entire DAY...not a measly half hour to go on a brief walk and do their business. Daycamp been good for me (so I don't have to leave him crated all day while work crazy hours) and great for him! The socialization he gets is unparalleled - his behavior (as compared to before we started going to camp) has changed dramatically. He had fear aggression issues that have mostly disappeared and now he loves people and allows them to pet him. He doesn't have to mark his territory when we go to friends' houses who also have dogs. It's been quite a change! I work in Bridgewater, so Saul detects when we get off of 287 at our exit and jumps around in the car and vocalizes until I actually let him out! He PULLS on his leash to get into CBW...and he's not the only one! There are always other dog owners dropping their pooches off and I have yet to see a dog who is NOT super-excited to be there. (And, as another reviewer mentioned, I trust my dog's instincts to like/dislike a person or place.) Whoever on staff greets the guests upon arrival handles each dog 1-by-1 - bringing them from the lobby to the play areas. At this point, we (as owners) have the opportunity to mention any particular needs or concerns to that person. They also receive any food or personal items that are brought, as well. During the day, there is the opportunity to watch the dogs on their live web-cams. They're a bit slow, but you definitely can watch your dog and see how the staff handle the group of dogs and any situations that arise. I have witnessed the staff take immediate care to clean up poop & pee as it happens. I tend to check in at least once per day. When I logged in, I see some staff members playing with the dogs and others just standing around and watching, but I have never witnessed anyone hurting the dogs in any way. In the evening, any food containers that were brought have been washed out and are ready to be taken home. While they can't keep track of how many times each dog poops or pees during the day (my goodness, a pen would never leave their hands!), they do record when the dogs eat and if there were any problems during feeding time. With Saul being a regular, they know him, so they can identify any real changes and let me know. I have used them twice for their grooming...it's really convenient to have them do it while Saul is in camp...no extra trip! I saw one reviewer note that their prices are high, but I have not had that experience - I find them to be comparable or slightly less than places near where I live. The groomer does a very nice job (Note: Saul is a bichon with curly (and sometimes knotted) hair - so those of us humans with curly hair know that finding the right stylist is important and dog grooming is no exception). The staff is great... each person has their own personality and sense of humor, but you can see that everyone loves the dogs. The staff knows Saul by name (probably because we're regulars) and many have nick names for him, too! They are really creative and truly try to please their clients! For Halloween, the staff set up an elaborate display, dressed up each dog in a costume and took photos! When I came to pick up my guy, I received a color photo of Saul dressed as a king (King Saul...hahahahaha!)! And earlier in the year (I believe it was for their 10th anniversary), they took photos of each dog, printed them out and put them into a cute box frame that said "live, laugh, bark". With Saul going to camp 3 times per week, I have been lucky (knock on wood) that he has not come home sick. And if he were to, I wouldn't think twice about it... because it's no different than us humans being in our petrie dishes at the office or on an airplane. I appreciate that the staff is adamant that all dogs have all their shots - including the dog flu vaccine! Helps keep them all healthy! I think I've written enough for now...but you can see that Saul and I are quite satisfied with our experiences to-date. read more

We love CBW and so does our dog. We take her to bridgewater as well as Lawrenceville depending on where we are going. All we have to do is say the word "camp" and our dog gets very excited. The staff are friendly and we always feel very comfortable leaving her with them especially knowing how much she loves it. My ONLY complaint over the past few years is the coordination and organization with regards to the dog food. There have been several occasions where we return home with either too much food or not enough and we are pretty meticulous with our measuring. The most recent trip i had actually packed 2 extra days of food just in case and were notified that they ran out 1/2 way thru our trip!!! The food was either lost or misappropriated. It's a little stressful when traveling to get calls from the camp first off and then slightly frustrating when you know you packed enough food. Again, this has happened several times and I just request that they organize, coordinate, communicate the food a little better. Other than that, we are pretty content with CBW!!! read more

Riley always loves going to camp. He enjoys playing with other pups and of course the super friendly staff. The only reason I couldn't give camp bow wow a 5 is because the price is always pretty expensive and actually another reason is we have to pay for a bath before he leaves or he would stinks so horrible when he gets home. My Siberian Husky now has a gaping gash on his little black nose because he was "bothering another dog as it was sleeping" - or so I was told. My dog was attacked and he was made out to be the problem. Furthermore, no attempt to communicate what happened occurred on either my phone or my partners - only upon pick up was the news dumped on me. My dog sat around in a kennel for hours waiting for his parents to pick him up with a bloodied nose. Now my dog is scarred . . if this is the type of service you're looking for then this is your place! We won't be returning. read more

My pup boarded at this facility and came home VERY ill. I traveled out of the county and therefore he was there for an extended stay (10 days). I previously boarded with a different company, but chose Camp Bow Wow as it was closer to my home. I believed the requirement for all campers to provide proof of vaccination before attending would provide reasonable assurance as to my pup's health and safety. He has his Bordetella vaccination so I thought he was safe. However, he returned very lethargic, refused to eat, sneezed often and had a very noticeable runny nose after I picked him up. The notes provided by staff ath check out only referenced that he was a picky eater, and that he did not like participate in the activity much. When I called 24 hours later to determine if the staff could provide insight on why he was not acting himself, it was only then that they mentioned there was a strain of kennel cough seen in some of the pups and that my pup did seem VERY lethargic during the last 48 hours of his stay. I immediately had him seen at a vet hospital. $849 later, the doctor diagnosed him with kennel cough, slight dehydration and an enlarged left lymph node in his neck. The doctor went on to explain, she had seen several dogs presenting with the same illness after stays at this facility. She indicated that there are multiple strain variations, so even dogs that have received the kennel cough vaccine can still contract the virus. She went on to say the site should have informed me of the recent bout of illnesses when I made the reservation. Needless to say, I am very upset and concerned for my pup's recovery. I'm sure he'll be fine. However, if you are boarding your dog at a kennel, make sure the cages are disinfected properly. Understand that if your dog is staying at a boarder's that also provides doggy daycare, kennel cough is more common. This is generally because the infection is airborne and facilities that provide your dogs with a lot of social play, while excellent for your pup's happiness, have a higher risk of spreading the infection among its temporary residents. read more

We brought our dog here to board for a week in July 2022. In order to do this, he had to go through a trial-run, which went well. He (our dog) was put in a room by himself and slowly introduced to more dogs to acclimate him. However, when we dropped off our dog to go on our vacation a few weeks later, the person at the front desk put him in a room crowded with dogs, leading our dog to get agitated. She then asked if we had other accommodations. We'd set up the boarding appointment two months prior to this. As a result of our dog getting agitated, they put him in isolation for several days. The director explained to me that they didn't have enough experienced caregivers to deal with all the dogs (there were more because it was the summer). This meant that we were not able to see our dog on the cameras for days, and couldn't monitor his well-being. For the money we spent (about $650), we were sorely disappointed with the care we received. read more

There are not enough nice things that I can see about the Camp Bow Wow training program with Alicia. She absolutely knows her stuff when it comes dogs - our little guy completed the Puppy Beginning Course and the Level 2 Intermediate Course. Alicia was an amazing trainer every step of the way for both of these classes. She gives you honest advice and structures the program in a terrific fashion. It is very organized.
