Camp Bow Wow's Behavior Buddies program is absolutely fantastic! Carolyn is professional and personable and really takes her time to get to know your dog and what works for them and what doesn't. She makes class fun too, making training feel like less of a burden and more of a fun task for you and your dog. Each week we look forward to our class knowing we get to play fun games with our pups. Finding Camp Bow Wow was a great relief. Finally, a high quality kennel located in the middle of the city. The prices may seem high but are so worth it. At Bow Wow my pups are placed with similarly-sized dogs and are active all day rather than caged, I can watch them on video, there is no extra fee for administering medication, and I can pick my dogs up any day of the week rather than waiting until Monday. The staff are well trained, love dogs, and are extremely attentive. One time when I boarded my dog while on an out of town trip they noticed he had blood in his urine and contacted me. Thanks to their keen eye, my vet discovered that my dog had bladder stones. Finally, the best recommendation, my dogs are always happy and exhausted after a visit. read more

We started our rottie puppy in training as soon as he was fully vaccinated and we are so glad we went with Camp Bow Wow. I called around and spoke with different training facilities before enrolling Archer and I was most impressed with Carolyn and Camp Bow Wow's methods of training. Sarah taught both Archer's puppy class and his level two class. He LOVED her! So did we.. She was patient with my husband and me who both get frustrated easily. Carolyn came to our last session of class before we head out east to our new home in Florida *sniff* and her and Sarah really made me feel like I've got a great puppy with lots of potential to help break the Rottweiler stereotype. Great place for boarding or daycare! When another survey asked me what I liked about Camp Bow Wow, I listed the friendly staff, webcams, reasonable prices, and the fact that my dog loves going there. I love it for all those reasons plus that she comes home TIRED. No more nagging to go to the dog park after several hours at Bow Wow. It's also conveniently located (near WalMart on Carlisle in Albuquerque) so it's easy to drop her off and go run all my errands or do a shift at work. read more

We travel to see my dad (who is in a long-term care facility in Albuquerque) and don't like to leave our rescue dog in the kennel when we travel. Finding Camp Bow Wow has been a huge blessing! Harley can't wait to get inside, and when we pick her up she is one worn out pup. Having the cameras is a big bonus, but be warned that watching can become addictive. We also took advantage of the grooming service on our last stay, so she was nice and clean and ready to hit the road for the trip home. I like the idea of being interviewed and having dogs introduced slowly to the environment. I also like the cleanliness. You can watch on video and will see staff frequently go in and clean up areas. It's been a great experience so far! read more

Our dog loves going to "camp"! She goes a few times a week and is always exhausted from a long day of fun. We can trust the staff to treat her as their own family member. She boards there often and it is great to be able to watch her playing with her friends on the computer from out of town. Trainer Sarah came to my home and helped me with my dog. She gave me wonderful pointers on how to better manage him and she was very patient with me and my dog. I love this place! My pupper will run from the car to the gate and let herself in. The staff is caring and always gives me a update on what dogs she plays with and how much fun she has. I know she does by how tired she is going home, sleeping before I even pull out of the parking lot. I trust the staff and love how they really seem to enjoy all the dogs, it's a bit pricey but you get your money's worth knowing your pups is having the best time ever! read more

Unfortunately, we will never bring our dog to Camp Bow Wow again due to poor management and dishonest staff members. For months we loved Camp Bow Wow for daycare and overnight stays-- our dog was so excited whenever we pulled into the parking lot and loved playing with his friends all day. However, that changed after we tried a 5-night stay while on vacation. Our dog developed a medical condition after 2 days and was confined to an isolated kennel for the remaining 3 days. The staff failed to notify us of the situation and never attempted to call our local emergency contact. They gave us a half-hearted apology and called it a "breakdown in communication." Additionally, it was discovered upon pick up that a staff member lied on the feeding card and our dog was not fed one of his daily meals. Again, a halfhearted apology at best. We felt very frustrated and found it strange that we did not receive the usual email survey to rate our experience, or any further email from Camp Bow Wow for that matter. After contacting their corporate offices we got a fully apology and were issued a refund for the 3 days spent in isolation. We were also told that a staff member had changed our email in their system after we picked up our dog, likely do we couldn't leave negative feedback. Such a shame, but we will never trust them again. read more

I was so upset with my pets stay. We heard that this place was the best so we didn't mind the cost. We even paid extra for our dogs to have a private suite. We thought that since they had the web cams that our dogs would be completely taken care of. One of the days my husband pulled the cam up on his phone and one of their employees had our little dog cornered and was spraying him with a water bottle for NO REASON! Our little dog wasn't acting up or anything. This young man was simply just being mean to him. I was FURIOUS!! I will NEVER use this place again!! I don't know how someone could be so cruel to a helpless little dog! read more

Max is a rescue with many issues. I was happy he passed the interview. I have been taking him there since May 2017 and he loves it. The staff is awesome. I love the web cams and am very comfortable leaving him there as i know he will get attention and socialization with other dogs & people too. This doggy day care is unbelievable- the staffs love dogs, care about their health and wellness and care about their humans too. They noticed that one of our dogs was limping and we caught the problem very early. They are not cheap, but it's worth the price. My dogs come home happy, healthy and tired! read more

My dog is a regular camper at Bow Wow. I like the fact that they take the time to evaluate your dog's temperament thoroughly before they are allowed to stay to make sure all parties are comfortable ! Great place to take our dog and know that he is in good hands while he gets to romp around with other dogs. The staff are always friendly, the facility is always clean, and the prices are reasonable. So far, our dog has been a half-day camper, but we would not hesitate to leave him longer. We love that they "interview" the dogs to make sure of temperament before they are allowed in. There are also staff in each play yard to keep an eye on things, adding to the peace of mind. The web cams are also nice to check in and see how he's doing and if any of his usual friends are there. read more

My dog has been going here since she was one year old (she's six now). I love the fact that the facility is clean, there are always kind counselors supervising the dogs, and you can watch you pet play throughout the day. It shows they care about their clients and have nothing to hide. After a day of daycare, my dog comes home happy and tired. It's also nice that the staff lets you go behind the scenes to check out the facility. It is very clean. I trust these folks with my super special dog. read more

Teddy has been a frequent guest at Camp Bow Wow since he was only a few months old. He likes to take control of the bridges in the various play areas, looking down upon the minions who have joined him for the day. If it's for only a day, or for multiple days, or even weeks, Teddy loves it - and us parents like the opportunity to watch him on the doggie cam once in a while. My dog loves this place! The staff are all really friendly and they almost always remember my pups name as were walking in. Definitely a great place if you're gone a lot of the day and don't want to leave your dog alone at home. I really enjoy the services they provide and since we've started coming here it seems like my puppy is a lot more friendly and sociable at the dog park. I like that while he's at camp he has the option to go inside and outside all day and its very reassuring that there's always someone to watch him in the yard(which I can watch whenever I want on their handy dandy camper cams, yay!!). One of my favorite things about them is that when he gets nice and dirty they have an option for him to have a bath before he comes home. They also have a dog training service which is cool because my dog could definitely use help in that area, haha. I'd recommend this place to anyone because it seems like the staff genuinely care about my dog and they're always quick to tell me about any concerns they had about him during the day(which ,as a dedicated dog mom, are exactly the kinds of things I love to hear). Best of all is that when I get off from a long day at work and come to pick him up he's nice and tired and we get to enjoy a nice loooooong nap when we get home!!! read more

My dogs LOVE Camp Bow Wow! I have had nothing but positive experiences with them there and I have never had any problems. The staff truly care about the animals in their care and strive to give the dogs the best experiences they can. I love that they required "meet and greets" because not every dog will have a good time in such a large daycare center. In fact, one of my dogs that I had just recently adopted did not pass his initial meet-and-greet because he was terrified of the other dogs and the staff felt that he needed a bit more training and work on separation anxiety before he could feel comfortable in a daycare setting. I was appreciative of the staff's honesty and several months later (and after quite a bit of training) I re-interviewed my dog and he passed with flying colors! He now joins his siblings and they really love it there. The prices are also very inexpensive compared to a lot of other boarding kennels that like to nickel-and-dime you and you get the full price upfront with no hidden fees. My dogs have been going here since 2010 and I have never had an issue with anyone or anything there. read more
