If you go to Brilliant Earth on Newbury St. you have GOT to book an appointment with Yasmeen. My…read moreengagement ring is from this store and I was shopping for my wedding band. I came into the appointment with zero knowledge or idea of what I wanted and Yasmeen was kind, excited, welcoming, and most importantly an absolute joy to work with. She took me back to feeling like I was a kid again and the fun of trying on jewelry/putting on a fashion show with your best friend. I walked out trying to decide between two rings and promptly booked a final appointment with her to retry those two rings. She was so excited to see me again and didn't push me one way or the other but rather encouraged me that I literally couldn't make a wrong decision, which elevated all my stress. Ladies and gentleman, thanks to the amazing help from Yasmeen, I got my perfect wedding ring!! The price was not too expensive as well and their one time plan purchase to cover any diamonds lost in your lifetime, was a nice perk.

We worked with Matt again and continue to be absolutely thrilled with his service and our purchase. We purchased an in-stock setting designed and handmade by the team at Joseph Gann and Matt helped us find a diamond that was perfect for the setting. Matt taught us that balance of the 4Cs can be adjusted depending on your selected setting. Based on Matt's thoughtful guidance we purchased a diamond and a setting in our budget that I love every day. Amazingly enough, the in-stock setting looks like a custom setting and is exactly the custom setting I would have designed myself -- we were beyond fortunate that the team at Joseph Gann has such skill to create our dream ring before we dreamed it up! We are so grateful to have found Joseph Gann and highly highly recommend them.

We purchased a pair of custom wedding rings here, at the strong recommendation of some of our…read morefriends who had gotten theirs done with Bostonian. We were not disappointed! On our first visit, we shared a unique idea that would require custom modeling and design work. Ali and Hagop were able to help us refine the idea into something we loved, and were able to provide an accurate and reasonable quote that same day. They did a fantastic job on the custom design work, and were very responsive to our requests for changes and tweaks. The final rings are absolutely gorgeous and we'll treasure them forever.

I understand that it was a busy Saturday, but this location was downright unhelpful. I already knew…read morewhat I wanted to get from a prior trip to the Seaport Mejuri location and just needed to come in to check sizing. I looked up my items online, which was difficult given that (with no labels on any of the jewelry) I didn't know what to search on their website. So I was ready to purchase items, just needed to check sizes (which is what an in-person jewelry showroom is for). We waited in line due to store occupancy limits (understandable, it's a small location) and once we got in were immediately accosted by an associate who asked if we were finding everything ok. She disappeared once I said that I knew what I wanted and needed help with sizing. When I had to go ask someone from the back desk area for help, they rolled their eyes and scoffed at me for...asking them to do their job and help me understand the (unlabeled) sizing for the bracelet. If you're going to have no labels on your display for what the sample sizes are (20/22 inches for a chain necklace, a very slight difference, plus no idea which sample bracelet was for the M/L/XL sizes) at least have helpful staff! Then, when checkout time came I was told that the price was going to be more than I had originally budgeted for since we had picked out the necklace with a slightly larger diameter. I asked for clarification and the girl helping me gave the most convoluted explanation about the bracelet already being upsized. She expected me to already be knowledgeable about the different finishes too. I had to advocate for my 10% signup discount to be applied. And when we got home, one of the boxes was missing the storage pouch and polishing cloth. Overall a really scummy experience all around that I felt like I was being tricked and upsold with unclear explanations even when I knew what I was purchasing. I'm used to buying fine jewelry and having nice laid out options sheets that this business model was clearly lacking. Or even transparent pricing! I'm betting that they treat their staff poorly because they are so unenthusiastic to even help out people who know what they want! Such an unnecessarily stressful experience. The gals next door at Glossier are so much nicer and more helpful, and their price point for makeup is far less than the consideration for buying what is ostensibly marketed as fine jewelry. Most things are extremely marked up and of variable quality as compared to standard jewelers. I only came because I liked one particular design and had felt it before as solid. TL;DR Even if you already know what you want, don't go to the Mejuri on Newbury, maybe the one in Seaport instead. Very unhelpful layout and staff.
