I got a voucher from Yelp to eat in here because of a photo competition (thank you guys!). Oh boy, I was glad. I decided to walk to the shop to take a look in their premises to get a feel for the business to write a good and honest review. The place is so clean and neat! There are a few seats but the main attraction is the chance of eating in the comfort of your home so they do take away or pick up food. Usually such places are smelly and ugly because people do not go there and you can only imagine their kitchens...in Camile I was glad to see an open-plan so while ordering or choosing from their delish options (which includes calories and even a light meal option/veggie/healthy vegetable based drinks/nibbles/full meals), you can see them working and cooking - and everything looks bright, clean and brand new. The price goes from 5 to 10 per box but the best deal you can get before 4pm for lunch boxes (at around 5 or 6€ each). The box might seem not so big but as soon as you open it, besides the yummy smell that comes from it, you can see that the amount of food is really generous and can feed 2 people. I ordered many different things to try and my absolute fave was the vegetarian pad thai (noodles with fried eggs, vegetables and peanuts) and their wedges which were really tasty, cooked with chili; also the prawns were brilliant. The packaging, seals, seasoning, ingredients are all of high quality and I was positively impressed. The food comes with little containers with sweet chili sauce and grains of peanuts to pour over your feast. They have a few over-the-counter options as for example a very big bag of prawn crackers for 2€ and even the great Murphy's ice cream. I got also a normal pad thai and a chicken satay - which my husband loved because of its pungency. The only thing that I decided to try that i normally wouldn't go for are the paper rolls filled with salmon and mint as it makes me feel like I am eating flowers; maybe also they could give hashis with the food. I totally recommend going there so you can stuff yourself before 4pm - you can get great value for money! As my husband put it, "that was absolutely not bad!"

This lovely takeaway/restaurant gave me a lovely free curry the other night! Just for being a yelper may i add. So here's my review in return for the lovely special edition curry and rice. On arrival to the takeaway i was met by some lovely bright decor and slightly harassed members of staff who politely told me my food wasn't ready. But i didn't mind waiting as there were comfortable benches to sit on. The takeaway seemed mainly to be concerned with their deliveries as there was a lot of delivery guys coming and going collecting well filled bags of food and poppadoms. These guys were very smartly dressed in white shirts and black dickiebows which i thought was a nice touch. There were quite a few people waiting on their orders alongside myself and some of them looked a bit fed up but if the food is worth waiting on then the waiting is hopefully worth it. I read some of their literature while i was there and noted some lovely lunchtime offers at a very reasonable price such as my favourite Pad Thai which i will try on my next visit. All in all i was waiting about 40 minutes for my food which added to the fact that i called ahead meant i was waiting about 50 minutes for my food. I was certainly hungry by the time i got home. But it was a Friday night after all. If there is another very slight negative about the shop it was that the smell as you go inside is so spicy and this caught in my throat all the time i was there. But again this reflects what the people are ordering and it is Thai after all! The food itself was very fresh and i was not able to finish it all off and It was spicy without murdering my tastebuds! I'm glad i tried there as i have passed this place so many times without going in but i will make more of an effort now that i tasted their food and seen their menus.

Disappointing Meal. V small portions and for quite a price. Curries are tastier and better priced elsewhere. Also delivery 2.50 is a rip off

The odd time that it took them over an hour, I usually rang the place and they apologised and offered a free starter with the next delivery.

The Pad Thai was the perfect combo of sweet and a little heat. Nice balance of meat to noodles with plenty of greens to make your mom proud. Compared to other items this wasn't spicy at all. I guess you could take it up a notch and still be in the medium spice zone. Part 2: heat. Yes my friends we forgot to say "spicy level 1" when ordering the drunken noodles. There may have been an entire jalapeño in there or perhaps cayenne. I was blubbering like I was back in grade school with a skinned knee. But it was worth it. All you brave people say "spice level 3." Part 3: volume. Initially I was dubious of the amount they could pack into those (yes) plastic recyclable to-go containers. But then I kept eating and eating and only stopped to preserve a sliver of self-respect not gorging myself. Looks like my Irish breakfast will have a side of Thai tomorrow. Part 4: atmosphere. This is what we hope to find in a Thai place. Great decor, friendly staff, and accomplished chefs. We got it all and more here. Baan appetit!

I worked nearby the "small little gem" as another Yelper aptly put it. I was looking for decent places where I could grab a quick lunch and be satisfied with what I got for myself. I walked in that day and was served by the elderly gentleman who I till to this day haven't properly introduced myself. Even though these are the circumstances, he knows my custom order by heart which he recommended the first day itself. I walked in not knowing what to order and he told me "Try our Red curry." I decided to listen to him. He asked me if I wanted rice or noodles and I didn't know what to go for. He recommended I try a mixture of both. God bless you my man. That was one amazing lunch. I fell in love with the place. Modest by all means, not a place anyone would notice as it is hidden among all the big shot restaurants in the bustle of Baggot Street. The portions he serves are large and most definitely something that would satiate even the hungriest of souls. I couldn't recommend this place more. A must try if you're in the area for a good and filling lunch. Beware, you won't find any of the other Thai places in Dublin good once you try Yum Thai as it definitely is one of a kind.
