Amazing tacos for a reasonable price! The truck was on the El Camino in front of Safeway. Red truck with some chairs in front. I had two tacos, carne asada (steak) and el pastor (marinated pork). If you order with everything it comes with seasoned onions, carrots on the side, and fresh onions and cilantro on the tacos. You can get green or red sauce on the side. Overall it's a great street taco. One of the best I've had in the area. Worth a try read more

I work in one of the nearby offices and on any given day you'll find me and 5-10 of my coworkers at Camila's for lunch. My go-to order is two of the $2 (not $3 as others have said!) Carne Asada tacos and a Coke for a total of $5. Yummy, filling and I walk away satisfied. The meat is juicy and well spiced and portions are street taco generous. It looks family owned and ran and has been on this section of El Camino near the large Safeway parking lot as long as I've worked in the area. They also have burritos, quesadillas and the usual assortment of meat. Others in our office swear by the Pastor (pork) but I haven't looked beyond the asada. Like that's a fine price for the tacos you get at a taqueria in the mission that's like half a burrito. But these are about the size of the street tacos you can get in LA for $1.25-$1.50. Found this little gem in San Mateo on my way to running errands during lunch. They are parked across Safeway on the street, but you shouldn't have trouble finding a red food truck ;) I got the pastor, lengua, and carnitas. Honestly, it was so good and for the price ($2!!!!), well worth driving there. My favorite was the carnitas as they fry it but not too dry. Ever since I read the review of one of the yelpers I follow, I've been wanting to try this taco truck and I finally got a chance with my coworker/food buddy. Camilas Tacos my not have a lot of variety on their menu like most taco trucks but they don't need to. Their tacos are well seasoned and pack a lot of flavor and are only $2. Good price when you compare it to other trucks. Being that it was my first time. I had to get one of each taco. Asada, pastor, lengua, cabeza, and tripa. Best $10 I spent. They gave me two asada instead of the tripa I ordered. I ate all my tacos because they were so good and I was hangry. I went back and ordered a single tripa taco for a total of 6 that I ate. They have churros! Who doesn't love churros. Doritos, takis, Cheetos, and other snacks to choose from. Plenty of different beverages including horchata and Jamaica. Credit card accepted and they have Apple Pay. This is extremely convenient for us folks that don't like to carry cash. Located on camino real next to the Safeway parking lot. Perfect location because you have the Safeway lot with plenty of parking. I hope their quality and portions doesn't go down with time like some places. read more

I was so happy I found this taco truck, as I had not found good classic tacos in San Mateo. I get the chicken, carnitas and adobo tacos every time and all are delicious. The little touches like a light fry on the corn tortilla to give it a slight crunch, and the grilled onions and marinated carrots really make the meal for me. This taco truck was a complete disappointment. I came with my family after a stop to Safeway and ordered a super burrito and it had to have been one of the worst burritos I've tried. Delicious. I'd been craving tacos for a few days and I decided to finally give in. I ordered a carnitas taco (deep fried pork), a cabeza taco (head), and a horchata. The carnitas were crispy, juicy, flavorful, the tortilla was warm and the salsa was perfect. The cabeza was tender, juicy, flavorful, and just a bit spicy.
