If you're looking for a good quesadilla, look no further. Monchi's not only has tasty quesadillas, but they're huge. We ordered 3 different ones to try them out, we had a pollo, asada, and birria de res. The pollos was cooked to perfection not dry at all. Asada was so tasty and good quality meat Birria de res was tender and juicy. The salsas were good, I would just like them a little spicier. I'm glad I checked them out, I always see the truck. Since they park near mc Donald's and it's a few blocks from my house, I just never had the time to try them. The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 was because it took a long time to get my order.

One of the best burritos/tacos I've had in a long time. My normal taqueria has been letting me down the last couple times. My kid wanted McDonald's and the truck was parked across the street so I thought I'd give it a try, glad I did, the salsa Verde was the best I've had!

I've passed this taco truck so many times, and wanted to try it. Finally did, and the results were delicious. First off, it sounds like any of the items can be made the way you like it. If you look at the menu, and don't see chicken on the item you want, ask, and see. It couldn't hurt. Definitely you will want to try the quesabirria tacos. I often feel like I need to be hosed down after eating a taco, because I'm so messy. These are no exception. I wouldn't go here wearing a white tuxedo, and expect to come out unmarked. Still, if you're a dipper (someone who likes to dunk food into broth/liquid), you'll love the quesabirria experience. In my photos, I'm including the phone number for call ahead orders. BUT we didn't order ahead and our order was ready quickly. Take time to enjoy your surroundings, or notice how friendly and kind the staff are. It's also worth noting that the hours on Yelp, as of this writing, are daytime, in Burlingame. But, at night from 6 pm to 11 pm most nights, they are on North Delaware near Peninsula Ave. I really like the fun LED lights they have on the truck so you notice them. It worked on me, and I'm glad I experienced this truck. I didn't notice any vegetarian options, so if I find out they do veggie items, I'll update this review.

Quesabirria tacos (res) and carne taco.

This is my favorite quesabirria taco truck. I've been coming here for years. It's a bit messy to eat, but worth it. Birria De Res are $5.50 each (as of Aug 2023) but large and filling. The beef (res) is flavorful and the cheese is a string of melted goodness after you bite into the crunchy side. Don't wait to eat it or it will get soggy! The tacos are also really good and less messy if you're not on the mood for quesabirria. A taco with a selection of the same meats is $3. They are parked across from McD's on El Camino (in front of Charles Schwab) every weekday until 5 pm, and then they move to North SM on Delaware for the dinner time crowd. Easy parking next to the truck in both locations. The young woman cashier is friendly and sweet. I go on the off hours and it's quick. There is definitely a crowd right at lunch. It seems like everyone is a regular. That's when I order my ice coffee from McD's across the way and come back to pick up.

Amazingly delicious tacos de chivo. I tried the tacos dorados de chivo with consume. The meat was fall-apart tender and the consume was perfectly seasoned. Service was polite and the food was made fresh in front of me. I will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend!

This taco truck rolled up one day a few months ago, and decided to give it a try! They apparently have been at this location for a few months, and are outside of the safeway (860 Deleware St) from 6pm until 11pm daily. Believe they are somewhere else on el Camino during the day. Being Hispanic and from Southern California, I'd say I'm pretty knowledgeable about good tacos......and this place got it! Of course tried the Quesabirrias with consome and chicken tacos. Compared to places around the area, my partner and I agree that their chicken tacos are the best, super tender and great flavor. The quesabirrias were also delicious, cheesy and decent sized portions. Highly recommend both items. Have yet to try it, but they also have chivo(goat) for those interested. If your in the mood for a late-night taco truck, hit this place up!

This Mexican burrito and taco truck is amazing. I've been coming to them for over 2 years and I'm super thankful and glad for a delicious meal every week or two. Their burrito de res is so flavorful, and huge!! I also love their tacos de res with quesabirria sauce. Definitely check them out. Their food and price is super good, especially for todays day and age. Currently their hours are 6-10pm Monday through Saturday. Enjoy!

I love this taco truck. I get the quesabirria tacos de res (beef). Everything is so flavorful and delicious. I can't get anything else like it in the area. I'm always craving it! So glad they brought quesabirria to san mateo. The workers are very nice too.

Ordered two quesa birria chivo (goat) tacos and a regular chivo burrito. The tacos were extremely cheesy, juicy and of course greasy. The burrito was moist and not at all greasy, the beans and rice were perfectly cooked, and the goat was tasty. If you have never had goat, it has a unique smell and reminds me of ox tail. One point, some of you may or may not favor the burrito, it contains meat but not too much. Would I return? I certainly would since they have chivo, goat is not very common up here in Norcal.

The best Quezabirrias in San Mateo I always try different places, and Monchis have the best birria and the consome is a bomb if you are looking for lamb this is the place to tryout

While photos of their SF location suggest some seeing, this OG location is pretty much pickup/delivery only: a fairly literal hole in the wall, located along a random quiet street. Most folks would probably opt to take home or eat at one of the "nearby" parks, but we've gotten in the habit of just eating in the car, which... not so great for something as messy as birria lol. I'll say that for most folks, this would probably easily be more a 4 star spot, while for us, it's more a 2 star since we're unlikely to come back. That's not to say the food was bad: on the contrary, the flavors were quite good, and the consomme was less salty than some of the others we've tried. But their food is HEAVY. Not just the birria itself, but also the burrito we got, and heavier than other places we've been for some reason, with the birria sitting in a pool of oil soon after we picked it up. This probably isn't a deterrent for most people though, so take this as you will. Accessibility: Not too relevant since this is really just a pickup spot, with the pickup window being at the usual height you'd find elsewhere.

It's a Mexican chain from AZ (popular I think, they have like 53K followers on Instagram), and they just opened multiple locations in Bay Area, so this time I decide to finally give it a try. I ordered the Tripa Mulitas, Torta, and Horchata drink, Mulitas was $7, Torta $14, and Horchata was $7. They're all delicious, I was actually shocked at the first bite because I didn't know Mexican food could be this great (like I ate at a lot of Mexican place before, but this place is just chef's kiss). You seriously have to try their torta!! It has grilled meat, cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato, all packed in there. Together with their green sauce, red sauce and some of the onion & jalapeno salad, I'm good for the whole day. The flavors are just so authentic and hit the spot perfectly. I totally get why there is always a line now. They officially converted me into a regular from today! If you see a crowd, just jump in line, it's worth the wait.
