I've seen this food truck around my neighborhood a couple of times, but I thought I'll give it a try because I saw a bunch of people standing there. It was a beautiful weather. You should get their Birria tacos hands-down they had the best sauce there but this time we were confused between that versus chicken so we went with chicken we got chicken tacos and chicken quesadilla both of them are really good. The lady in the truck was really respectful and also gave us a free gravy to go on the side. The overall service was really really good. A welcome quesabirria-centric food truck with lots of interesting birria menu items. I am still a bit confused about how an order of quesabirria and Mexican coke cost me over $25, since there was just a credit card tap and no receipt. Even with the sticker shock, it was delish! Quesabirria Beef Tacos with Consomé: I'm so happy that quesabirria is trending so you no longer have to hunt it down in a garage restaurant in the 'burbs! Theirs were particularly plump, with lots of cheese and tender beef. In addition to wetting it in the savory consomé, there was a nice spicy sauce to dip in post-consomé. It kinda reminded me of those super indulgent places that have a creamy spicy sauce for your already cheesy quesadilla. The well placed raw veggies, cucumber and radish, were a refreshing way to cleanse the palate between quesabirria bites. Very satisfying lunch by the office. Beef Birria Ramen: I've seen this dish hyped up on TikTok from other restaurants around the world. On a chilly and almost rainy lunchtime, felt like the perfect opportunity to try it. It was blazing red like a Nongshim ramen, but not that spicy surprisingly. Loved all the consomé flavor in the broth. A decent amount of beef, though could have stood to have more. Ramen noodles were fine, kinda like the instant stuff you'd get at the grocery store. Lilo Pizza: Not always posted on the menu, but they seem happy to make one if you ask. It's essentially a huge quesadilla stuffed with cheese and lots of yummy birria. It is pizza-like since it's topped with creamy sauce, guacamole, onions and radish. Plus comes with consomé for dipping. Quite a good bargain nowadays in San Francisco for $20. This could seriously be 3 meals for me! Taste was nice because cheese and birria. I don't know what to think, who's leaving these 4 or more star reviews? I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I was seriously thinking how can anyone rate this food any good? They were at a campground we were staying at, we were told there would be "food trucks" and this was it. We were in the mood for anything but Mexican but it was the only choice. We were excited to share a couple things though. We ordered the chicken quesadilla that came with rice and beans and the vegetarian burrito. The chicken had gristle in it. Everything was terrible. The rice and beans were COLD and without any kind of flavor imaginable, I don't think they put salt, pepper or even cooked the beans-it seems like they opened a can and dumped it onto the plate. The sour cream that was provided in a little container was runny. We didn't finish any of it and I was not feeling well that night- I was so afraid we were going to get food poisoning. Got the quesabirria nachos today while they were parked right across from the giant park inside Coyote Point. The cheese sauce and toppings were so delicious! I can't explain how shocked and upset I am about this. Hopefully the owner gets to see this or the chef. I'm sorry I was not able to taste your food. This is what happened and I hope it doesn't happen to you or don't be lazy and not write the review but literally this ladie got so upset she closed her food truck. I asked if can get hot sauce, I was a little confused because everything was left out suck as cilantro, onion, lemon ect. I wanted to grab some things because it was to go and she told me everything was in the bag. Of course I trusted her to have everything on my To go order. Keep in mind that she is taking my order even though she is having a private event. I went to sit in a picnic table at Washington park Burlingame. They forgot lemons and my tortillas were not fully cooked. I showed them to her that they were not even hot and how easy it was to bent even though they were made. Lady in black didn't offer to give me lemons or to cook the tortilla more. Before I said anything she wanted to give me a refund. This lady didn't care about her customers being around listening or how she was acting.Didn't want to fix it or anything. This lady gave me my refund. She simply got off the register and started to close the food truck. I'm a general manager and I never seen or heard anyone talk to a customer this way. After she did my refund I asked her what was my total and I looked at my transaction on my phone and it was 40 dollars for 2 orders which I had no idea how much they were. I wanted to try them and I was hungry. Price didn't matter. Please don't get taken advantage of this price because it's birria tacos. Lilo's Kitchen has been my favorite find of 2023! I randomly found them at the Tuesday Tanforan Off the Grid food trucks and I've been coming back on the Tuesdays that they are there for months now (they are only there every other Tuesday and the Off the Grid website lists when they are in town). I love their quesabirrias, but I recently found a new love with their grilled cheese birria. The bread on the quesabirria soaks up the perfect amount of consome. One of my favorite things to do is order one grilled cheese birria and one order of quesabirria with my partner and split everything between the two of us, the best of both worlds! I've driven past this place so many times, I finally gave in. I know they are known for quesobirria, but as good as that sounds, all my experiences have left me disappointed. It always sounds way better than it taste, but never excuted well. I considered getting a burrito or just super tacos because of the pat experiences other places, but the girl at the counter suggested I give them a shot. Glad I did because they were stuffed full of meat, lots of cheese, great consume which wasn't over salted, and not overly greesy. I enjoyed every last bite out of it and would definitely go back again. I am a bit curious about their other options, so I may opt for something new next time. I think it's odd bc when you make birria the consume is made from the juices of the meat and the resulting broth is the consume - so if the meat is good but the broth is not that tells me they maybe are doing it separately. 3 birria tacos were a little over 17 with tax. meat was delicious and a decent portion - not generous, but not skimpy. the tortillas were corn of regular size. bummer was they didn't cook them in oil with cheese on the outside. that is what i'm used to and would have made them crispy and add a bit more flavor. of course the consume was way too hot at first sip and needed a bit to cool off. but it was perfectly salty and was delicious. if i was at an event with other trucks, i'd look around. but if there was nothing of interest, i'd eat here again. i would like to go a bit deeper in their menu offerings. and nothing to do with the food, besides being top chefs, but the owners/operators get kudos for going out an doing it. i have/had no problem supporting them. live fun and cheers! read more
