04/16/26 Definitely worth the stop. The employees are friendly and the food is fantastic. While we were visiting the area, my husband wanted to try frybread. The Warrior Surprise did not disappoint. The frybread was huge, soft, and fluffy. The taco toppings on top were delicious and the egg on top was cooked perfectly. The prickly pear stuffed french toast was a delight and had just the right amount of sweetness. The french toast was accompanied by regular syrup and prickly pear syrup. The two items were a flawless pair of savory and sweet and we shared both items.

Wednesday, 4/01/2026 - We tried this Cameron Fine Dining Parlor in this Cameron Trading Post place. Address is 466 N Hwy 89, Cameron, AZ 86020. This is a store with bathrooms, a restaurant inside, small section selling snacks, jewelry, clothing, pottery, toys, nicknacks, etc. We went to try the restaurant. Parking outside is plenty. But... the foods were NOT good. Very bland, dry, & over cooked.. The Navajo Taco wasn't bad tho. But everyone at our table did not like their dishes. We just ate it because we bought it. None of us were very impressed. But the server was nice. Water tasted great. No funky or metal taste to water or ice. Service is on the slow side. It didn't look to packed inside. But it took them like 10 to 15 minutes to seat us. It took them quite a while to bring us our tab. I think maybe they are short staffed. I don't know. But our server, Keneah, was very nice and professional. If you're very hungry, stop by here to grab something to eat. Besides that, i don't think we'll ever return to eat at this place. But we may stop by to buy nicknacks. Try the restaurant for yourself and determine. None of us liked it very much.

We were driving to Colorado and found Cameron Trading Post on Yelp. We decided to pop in for lunch. There is a lot to do in this little center including the art shop, hotel, post office, gift shop and restaurant. From the moment we walked in to the gift shop, we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Everyone said hello and welcome. We walked through to the restaurant and were sat immediately. Our server was Brenda and she was so pleasant and attentive! I recommend asking to sit in her section if you decide to dine. We ordered the Navajo taco and Green chili soup which came with a piece of fry bread. All three were good but needed a little more seasoning. I added salt and it was very good. I would recommend sharing the Navajo taco. It was huge and I felt bad not finishing it! The soup was the perfect size. After lunch we walked through the gift shop. Endless isles of beautiful Navajo rugs, baskets, Kachinas, jewelry, clothing, hats, trinkets and art. You could spend hours exploring the gift shop. I definitely recommend stopping here if looking for a day trip from the Phoenix area or passing through.

Definitely an interesting place to stop by A huge gift shop with lots to offer. Which I think alone is worth a stop They had quite a lot on the menu. I went for the Navajo taco. It was okay. Lacked flavor for me and could have been warmer upon arrival. The fry bread was delicious tho. My bf got the fry burger and he really enjoyed that, it was pretty tasty. Coming from New Mexico I got their sopapilla. It was pretty good but not the same as NM. Prices are very good for the size of the meal. There was a line when we arrived but it moved very quickly. Lots of seating, and looks like there might be some good views by the windows. Restrooms are very clean. Service was average. Felt a bit slow for food. The servers weren't exactly warm but when addressed when I mentioned something was forgotten they were very kind and patient. Would I stop again? Hmmm maybe? Would I recommend you go? Hmm, def for the store to get a souvenir but perhaps you wouldn't miss too much on the food

Stopped by here on our way to Sedona and found ourselves enjoying lunch at the restaurant inside of this trading post. The navajo taco and beef stew were delicious. Food service was great. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Food here are affordable. The decorations are beautiful. The place overall is clean. Restrooms for customers are clean and well maintained. There are plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to stop for a great meal. We had to try some Fry Bread, it was excellent, Avacado Toast was great! Ambiance is SUPER. CS left a little to be desired, we asked for a table by the windows with a view, we were denied even thou they were all empty?? Our Server was excellent, and very attentive. Service is phenomenal.

Fun stuff in the main trading post (some authentic, some not so much), and super fascinating history to be learned in the more exclusive store adjacent. Originally native art, ceremonial outfits, stunning jewelry - a lot waaaaay beyond my price point but the window shopping was excellent. The best part? The gardens. The landscaping and grounds are an oasis that I could have stayed in all day!!!

I went here on a tour from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. We were able to get some great local artwork and souvenirs for family and friends. We ended with lunch at their restaurant and so glad we did. The portions are huge! We had the fried bread which was fluffy and delish. I could only eat half of it. We left full and satisfied.

We passed by on our way to the Grand Canyon. I went through the gift shop first and then the restaurant. I had the Navajo taco and it was huge. I wouldn't recommend for one person because of the size. I didn't try it, but people say the bison burger is a good choice. I also had a prickly pear lemonade which was tasty and refreshing. Our server was nice, it just took a while to get our food. The place seemed very busy.

Stopped here after a day trip to the GC, arrived hungry, left happy! Cameron Trading Post is a massive tourist center located within the Navajo nation. This is a great spot to purchase indigenous art, textiles, and memorabilia. The lay out is similar to a lot of the SW themed stores you find along I10/I40 and Rt 66, but the vibe is more authentic. I highly recommend popping into the gallery thats adjacent to the primary store and restaurant, there are some incredible historic and art exhibits in it. As for the restaurant, we came for the Indian tacos and they did not disappoint! Huge piece of Indian fry bread is topped with housemade chili and toppings including delicious green chiles. It's freezing cold in there thanks to piping AC- appreciated on a hot summers day but grab your sweater before going in if you're thin blooded like me. Don't sleep on the Indian tacos! They may be targeting tourists with them, but lemme tell you, that target was spot on in my case. Yum! Service was wonderful, view out the large windows was beautiful, don't expect fancy- this is just good, filling food at a very decent price. This is absolutely worth the stop.

Everything you'd want in a "Trading Post"!!! Food, gas, souvenirs, snacks, etc. plenty of parking and friendly staff. We had a very nice breakfast. Waitstaff was helpful, friendly, and efficient. Good food and beautiful view out the wall of windows!! The gift shop had something for everyone. I'd think I was done and then see something perfect for someone else! The scorpion lollipops were just the cherry on top as a gag gift - but the kids literally ate them up!!! If you're there, you need to stop and see for yourself!

Found the Cameron Trading Post on my way to Tuba City. I told my wife about it, so we found their website. We decided to stay there on my work visits in Tuba City. We love this place. Service is great and employees are friendly and helpful. My wife is always asking me when do I have to go back to Tuba City so we can stay there.

I came to this location while visiting Navajo Nation on December 20th, 2023. I ordered a few items…read moreto get a sample of what the location has to offer and to support the Navajo! What I got: Navajo Tacos Navajo tacos are deliciously crispy on the outside and are made with fry bread and topped with a meaty mixture of taco seasoned ground beef and beans, then all the traditional accouterments like sour cream, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes. The Navajo Taco fry bread is similar to a funnel cake. The side of salsa served with this taco provided a kick to the back of the throat (in a good way)! When on a tour of the Navajo Nation, I learned the Navajo saying dah díníilghaazh, or bááh dah díníilghaazh, refers to frybread. Bááh can be a blanket term for baked goods, or for breads. Dah díníilghaazh describes the process of creating frybread, specifically. Further, the first Navajo taco was created by Lou Shepard, who worked for the tribe in the 1960s as manager of the Navajo Lodge. If given the opportunity to try these tacos, don't pass it up! Mutton Stew What I learned about this dish on my tour of the Navajo Nation: Mutton stew consists of mutton simmered in a simple broth and is often accompanied by fry bread, a form of unleavened bread that became a staple of the Navajo diet during their forced Long Walk and internment at Bosque Redondo during the 1860s. Sheep were introduced into the Americas by the Spanish in the sixteenth century, along with horses and cattle. During this time, the Navajo traded and raided for sheep from the Spanish. This stew I ordered was filling and hearty. This stew was made with mutton, onions, garlic, thyme, tomato purée, celery, carrots, potatoes, hispi cabbage, sweetcorn and black pepper. All of the full flavors could be tasted throughout the stew. This dish was accompanied by frybread and honey. I placed these meals to go while I shopped inside of the Cameron Trading Post. The dishes took approximately 20 minutes to be prepared. The service received from the cashier was courteous and warm. The Navajo dishes were made fresh and were filling. In total, I ordered Mutton Stew, two Navajo Tacos, and a chicken wrap with fries, which came to about $50 (I believe). #ThankyouNavajoNation #supportlocal

There was a line out the door when we arrived, but since we had reservations, we were seated immediately. This place has been featured on the Food Network's "Top Places to Eat," so it's easy to understand why they're so popular. The tables are also somewhat small, so things can feel a bit cramped once the restaurant gets busy. The food was incredible and the drinks were equally impressive. They have a great selection of cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. The Basil Lemon Drop made with house-made limoncello was especially refreshing on a warm day. For our table of eight, we started with the bacon marmalade bruschetta, goat cheese bruschetta, and the wood-fired stracciatella with prosciutto. Everything was fantastic. The bruschetta boards each came with four pieces, and the stracciatella included four crostinis plus plenty of prosciutto to share. For entrees, we ordered several pizzas including the Ms. Piggy, Carnivore, and Belgio Dolce -- the same pizza Guy Fieri featured -- along with lasagna, pesto spaghetti, and rigatoni. Every dish was excellent, and the pizzas were large enough to easily feed two people. Even after all that food, we still made room for dessert and ordered the crème brûlée cheesecake, tiramisu, cannoli, and a couple espresso martinis. I only tried the cannoli because I was completely stuffed by then, but it absolutely delivered. The service was outstanding. Jennifer did an amazing job taking care of our large group and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I also loved the option on the menu where you can buy a 6-pack for the kitchen crew to show appreciation for their hard work. We figured one wasn't enough for the whole staff, so we bought five 6-packs instead. This would have easily been a 5-star experience if not for a couple issues. Originally, we made a reservation for 16 several weeks in advance. We received a confirmation the night before, but then got a cancellation notice just a few hours before the reservation. Our first phone call to the restaurant ended with us being disconnected, though thankfully the second call resolved everything. We later found out their reservation system automatically cancels large reservations unless they're booked as private dining. We also reduced our party size to 8, which helped. The other issue came at the end of the meal when the manager asked our table to leave. I understand we had been there for about two and a half hours and they likely wanted to turn the table, especially during a busy graduation weekend. Still, there were no time limits mentioned when we booked the reservation, so it left a sour note at the end of what had otherwise been an amazing dining experience. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this place if you're in Flagstaff and craving Italian food -- just don't expect to keep your table for the entire night.

The food options in general in the Grand Canyon are grim, so we didn't expect too much, only being lured in by the promise of 10% off due to our hotel stay at the Red Feather Lodge. The food was even worse than our low expectations. Walking in for dinner on Saturday during the shoulder season, it wasn't very busy at all. And yet we felt like we were ignored for a good while before we were able to place our order. Service in general was very slow, with the waitress disappearing for several long stretches of time. For example, it took about 20 minutes to get our order in after we had sat down and then another 20 minutes after we had finished to get the check. At least the chips and salsa arrived quickly. Chips and Salsa (Complementary) - These are standard yellow corn tortilla chips, with tons of tiny crushed chips on the bottom and larger whole ones on top. The salsa is slightly spicy, tangy, has plenty of crunchy chopped onion and tender tomatoes mixed in along with fresh herbs. Pretty standard stuff but tasty. Pork Carnitas ($29.99) - When this dish came out we were not sure what exactly we had received. What was on the plate certainly didn't look like carnitas; instead it looked like some kind of pork stew. We flagged the waitress down and she insisted they were carnitas. Strange. The "carnitas" consists of cubed and stewed pork mixed with celery and peppers. The cubes are compressed and cannot be shredded apart. There is a tiny bit of texture on some pieces that indicate that they had been fried at some point, but they are mostly tender instead. The texture reminds me of commercial pork that's been injected with saline and preservatives. It's very lean but the stewing liquid adds tons of rich, deep, flavors to the dish. Unfortunately the pork itself doesn't taste good. There's a strange off flavor, perhaps of older or freezer burned meat. The rice and beans are pretty normal. The rice is moist but each fried grain can be felt. It has appropriate salty tomato flavor. The beans are tender and mostly mashed, a little on the silky/watery side with some pieces of bean remaining. They are seasoned appropriately. Given the texture on the beans I wonder if they are from a can and/or direct from a commercial supplier. This dish is served with four small flour tortillas which are the worst I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. They are completely dried out, glued together into a stack. Clearly no care was given to storage. Any Mexican restaurant should be ashamed at serving the quality of the tortillas we received. Finally, there's some pico de gallo and guac to create some "carnitas" tacos. The guac is quite tangy from citrus juice. No matter what the waitress said, I don't think this dish was "Pork Carnitas." Even after leaving the restaurant, I tried to do some research to see if there is some regional variation of carnitas that could match this dish. I found nothing. From the pictures of another review 10 years ago, I see Plaza Bonita used to serve real carnitas - shredded deep fried pork. The switch to cubed pork must be a cost cutting measure. (1/5) Combo #2, Enchilada, Burrito, Green Corn Tamale, Shredded Beef ($24.99) - I'm not sure why anyone would order Combo #1 when the #2 is only a dollar more! The main difference between the enchilada and burrito is the tortilla used. The former has a corn tortilla, soaked a bit until soft and tender. There's a bit of standard red enchilada sauce poured on top, followed by just a bit of cheese. The burrito uses a toothsome and pliable flour tortilla that is rather tough and requires some work to get through with a knife. Both items I chose to get stuffed with shredded beef, which is actually pretty decent. It's very tender, very flavorful since they've been stewed for a while in some kind of sauce. The green corn tamale seems to be masa mixed with whole sweet corn kernels, and green chile skins (only a tiny bit of each). They add a lot of sugar, so the whole thing kind of tastes like eating sweet cornbread. The tamale is otherwise tender in texture and easy to eat. The texture is like that of an extruded masa, like it was prepared commercially in a factory. My guess based on the texture and appearance is that this isn't made in house. (3/5) Plaza Bonita was really disappointing. The pricing is absolutely ridiculous for what we received. They serve very low quality food for obscene prices. I think the only reason they survive as a business is because nothing else in the area is good either. Bathrooms - Two rooms with multiple stalls
