The people running this apartment complex are nice enough until you want to move out, then it feels…read morelike you're the enemy. This morning, the manager and handyman showed up without the required 24 hr notice and then the manager blatantly lied about when the notice was placed on my door yesterday. I was in and out of the apartment numerous times yesterday and was LOOKING for this notice in a bright, white envelope because I knew they'd need to check the carpet and tile this week. Without question, it was not there until they dropped it off late afternoon/evening meaning there was definitely not 24 hrs notice. I should have taken photos of the door with date/time stamps, although I'm sure they'd claim I'd manipulated them. Also, when I recently asked to get my screen door repaired because squirrels were getting in, same manager told me I'd likely be responsible for the cost. Because I enjoy opening my door for fresh air? Another negative is how hot is gets on the 3rd floor. I know heat rises, but the heat in the halls has been stifling this summer and they rarely clean the carpets so the place reeks --especially the elevator. Smells like a cross between stinky armpits and cat pee. Be ready to hold your breath. There is one room A/C unit in the living room and even with an adjacent ceiling fan on, little cool air gets to the bedrooms. One bedroom doesn't even have a ceiling fan. It's been miserable. I bring ice packs to bed just so I can sleep, and this is with ceiling fan on High and window open. I took lots of photos of previous damage when I moved in so if they get stingy about returning my security deposit, I'm ready to fight back. Wouldn't it be nice not to have to complain about apartment complexes and be able to give good reviews?

Once we realized the problem, Heritage staff Renate worked quickly to get him into a different apartment. I don't know what we would have done had they not worked with us. I highly recommend renting from Heritage Heights apartments with Charlotte who did our lease & Renate who contacted my son & myself throughout process of moving him.

WARNING: IF YOU OWN A VEHICLE DO NOT LIVE HERE…read more For the most part, Heritage Heights is a decent market-rate property. However, they have a major parking problem, and the management has outright refused to address the issue. Their solution: Pay $50 a month extra for a garage (if you own a full-sized pickup it won't fit) to ensure you have off street parking. Even now (2/20/19) I've been told there's a waitlist for garages. Parking here is NOT controlled. They give you a parking pass, but this is just window dressing. The parking lots are for everyone's use (residents, off lease people living here, friends, and even random people). In winter the property management hires a vendor to plow the snow in the lots. The problem is they plow it in to parking spaces. In the lot in front of my building we've already lost 10 spaces to snow storage. The lot is commonly full by 7:00 PM and, if you leave, you're likely going to have to park on the street and take your chances with getting a ticket (like several residents 3 days ago). Still the management refuses to act to ensure residents have a place to park, or even enforce parking of residents only (and give guests temp parking passes or a few spaces in each lot). Don't take my word for it, ask the following questions when calling or on your tour: 1. Is there enough parking to ensure residents can find parking off-street? 2. Is parking an issue in the winter? 3. If I can't find a place to park when I arrive, and it's a snow emergency, where do I park? Finally, STOP and ask residents themselves before you go in or as you leave. They'll confirm what this review states.
