On Cerritos Ave, apparently there is off street parking, but I parked on 10th St in the 30-minute parking, green painted curb since I came from eastbound 10th Street and would have never known unless I came from westbound approaching Cerritos. LOCATION. Lock your doors and clutch tight to your purse. Mind your jewelry. As I waited, two LBPD cars had already made their patrols of the area. High police presence and houses with bars on the windows usually equates to a high crime area. BUSINESS. Received my wired money after the lady, I don't know her name, texted me to come through the side when I texted I was out front and the steel gates were padlocked. She neither introduced herself or any indica of her affiliation. She asked me the name of the person who wired the money and how much was wired, and that's about it. Didn't ask me my name, verify my identity or anything. Gave me money, told me to count it. Nothing less, nothing more. Granted, I wasn't asked for five-star service, but still... they operated out of a garage off Cerritos. Not sure what to think. I'll have to pass on using their services just because I'm not into that don't ask, don't tell nonsense. Business is business, and it was not a comfortable experience for me to be handed money without verification. Google maps indicated this business as being "permanently closed" but I'll suggest an edit to that.

I noticed that this particular terminal is the home for other cruise lines as well, including Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, and Seabourn Cruise Line. Before I was able to successfully board the Carnival Radiance ship, I had options to either drop off the luggage with the porters or take the luggage with me. I decided to take my bags just so I can have them readily available. Next, I proceeded to the "Arrival Appointment On Time" where my designated boarding time was set for 12:30 PM on May 14th. The line was moving at a fair pace and it didn't take long. At the first station, a Carnival employee checked the boarding pass and respective identification, whether it was an ID + birth certificate or just solely the passport. Furthermore, items were screened through security. Lastly, the walk to the cruise was a bit of a distance. Then, it was an ease to board the cruise. I loved the presentation of the indoor space. It had a bunch of fun Carnival wall signage, airplane decor, etc. The workers inside the cruise terminal were firm and straightforward with the customer service. The building space was spacious and clean. The Long Beach Cruise Center can get crowded easily at peak hours of pick up and/or drop off. It was crowded with many vehicles upon returning on May 19th. Thankfully, I had a ride-share that picked me up at an alternative location nearby to beat the traffic. The Long Beach Cruise Center gets the job done when it comes to accessing cruise vacations.

The great thing was they had excellent employees routing the traffic to different lanes to help the traffic flow so much better. As soon as we parked at drop off an employee got a cart and started putting my parents luggages on it. Extremely helpful, and patient with my parents. I was probably in and out in maybe about 15 minutes. From waiting in line to get in, to the drop off, unloading and leaving.

Easy check in and quick muster drill and smiling faces everywhere. This cruise line is budget friendly to me, as I run a household alone, and have two dogs and two cats to provide for. It allows me to plan for a trip and pay 6 months same as cash. Oh my goodness...I had such a good time. Long Beach , sea day, Cabo, sea day, Ensenada and back. 5 days. There is so much to do on the ship, and then if you choose you can just read a book by yourself....and just listen to the ocean. I do not get sea sick, so I LOVED the rougher seas. It really felt like the sea was rocking me to sleep every night. I had no idea the relaxation that being on the ocean provides......in a way I am not used to. I am used to the scuba diving perspective....so this view, was a new one for me. I did not know if I would care for this ....but I LOOOOVED IT! I can not wait to plan my next cruise. My stateroom attendant MUZEMMIL was AMAZING! Memorized my name, always there if I needed anything. The staff work their butts off, and I always made sure I recognized that. SO much fun. There were many choices for food that was all included. A deli where they made things to order, Guys Burgers, Shaq's chicken, and the buffet was not too bad. All food was good, and did I mention...included.
