After dealing with a frustrating experience at another CVS pharmacy location over a vacation…read moreoverride prescription, I was so relieved to work with the team at the Carmen Drive CVS. They were professional, helpful, and actually knew how to handle the vacation override process. I had already spent way too much time going back and forth between the pharmacy, my insurance company, and my doctor. Carmen Drive made the process so much easier and got my prescription taken care of. It really makes a difference when pharmacy staff know what they're doing and are willing to help instead of sending the patient in circles. Thank you to the Carmen Drive team for making what had become a very stressful situation much easier. I truly appreciate your help and will definitely be coming back to this location!

First, a summary of how I came up with my rating: Pharmacy:…read more5 stars Store: 2.5 stars Ice cream: 4 stars Overall: 3.8 rounded up to 4 stars And now my full review. Rite Aid Camarillo is located in the Camarillo Village Square shopping center on Los Posas Road next to Sprouts and Planet Fitness. They have been my pharmacy for over 20 years and they have been absolutely great for all my prescriptions. The pharmacists and associates have always been very friendly and helpful, particularly with explaining how to take new medications. And whenever there's a problem with a prescription it just takes minutes to get it resolved. And it's also my go-to place to get vaccinations. Unfortunately, the store part of Rite Aid is a very different story. While there been some improvements since they emerged from Chapter 11 in September 2024 they are still frequently out of stock of many items. Basically, unless I'm at a nearby store or at Rite Aid for another reason I don't shop there. However, if I do see something I want or need in stock I will buy it since their prices are normally pretty good. Finally, I have loved Thrifty ice cream since I was a little kid. I particularly love their Chocolate Malted Krunch ice cream. And while their ice cream is normally for takeout they do have two small tables if you want to eat it there. In sum, I highly recommend Rite Aid Camarillo for their pharmacy and ice cream but suggest to only shop there for other items if you're already there or nearby.
