A Memorable Stop at Camaraderie Cellars While exploring the Pacific Northwest in our electric car, my wife and I found ourselves in need of a charge. We were in the area to visit Olympic National Park and our car navigated us to Camaraderie Cellars as they have a charger on their premises -- and that's where the incredible hospitality began. As we pulled in, the owner came out to greet us. We waved, got out of the car, and introduced ourselves. We shared a bit about our journey -- a retirement road trip from St. Louis through the western United States, visiting as many national parks as we could along the way. For many weeks, we had been sleeping in our EV, embracing the freedom of the open road. Don, the owner, welcomed us with genuine warmth. He told us about the history of the winery and gave us a personal tour of the beautiful grounds. The place had a peaceful charm, and the curated snacks they offer pair perfectly with their wines. After hearing our story, Don said, "I have an idea. It's getting late -- and since you haven't had dinner yet -- why don't you go enjoy a great meal at a nearby restaurant called Yodelin Broth. It's healthy, delicious, and close by. Then, come back here. I'll show you around some more, and you can charge your car while you sleep. In the morning, you'll be fully charged and ready to take in all the beauty of Olympic National Park in the daylight." At first, my wife was understandably cautious. These days, you never know -- we had never been to Washington before, and Don was a complete stranger. But something about his kindness felt truly sincere. While having dinner, we talked it over. Was this too good to be true? Was it safe? My gut told me Don was genuine, and I'm so glad we trusted that instinct. When we returned, he met us in the tasting room and continued to share stories, letting us sample some of his excellent wine. We spent a relaxing hour chatting, then headed out to our car for a peaceful night's sleep. The next morning, we woke up to a fully charged vehicle, ready to explore the wonders of Olympic National Park. Of all the breathtaking places we've seen on this trip, our unexpected stop at Camaraderie Cellars remains one of the most unforgettable. If we ever return to Washington, we will absolutely visit Don and his wife Vicki again, the incredible owners of Camaraderie Cellars. We stopped here for a tasting after a disappointing camping trip due to the campfire ban and cold weather. We decided to cheer ourselves up with some wine and were really pleased to find this place open for business. This spot is like stepping into The Secret Garden with beautiful outdoor patio seating nestled in an intimate setting. The gardens are so well tended, you can tell that someone truly loves it. Every corner is artfully designed, free of weeds and debris, and the seating wiped clean. The wonderful woman pouring our wine gave us great background on the grapes and flavor profiles and even brought out a juice box for the little 12 year old we were dragging around with us. We really enjoyed our tastings and our friends ended up bringing home a bottle of wine. It was the perfect spot for an indulgent little pick me up. Highly recommended! read more

My friends and I did a tasting here. it was a cute setting and fun to try the wines but that was where the good ended. There wasn't any wine that really stood out to us as good. To make it worse, the woman pouring our wine didn't talk about the wine at all and even forgot to tell us what we were tasting twice! I would not come back here. read more

Beautiful facility, fine wines. The winery is located on a side road off 101 a little west of Port Angeles. We attended several events here in pre-COVID days. There isn't as much going on now, but it's still a lovely spot to stop and sit and enjoy a bit of wine. Their hours are restricted so be sure to check their web page (https://camaraderiecellars.com/) or call them before heading out. The info on the Yelp page or on Google might not be current. The wines are good to very good to excellent and typically outperform their price. They are always food-friendly and this is not an accident. I have sometimes asked the winemaker (Don Corson) for advice on food/wine pairings and his insights into flavors and interactions are profound. Likewise his understanding of wine styles. Personal favorites are the Rugosa Rose (bone-dry but very fruity), Malbec, Dolcetto, Tempranillo, and the various Bordeaux blends. I'm only associated as a customer. read more

My family and I toured several wineries in Port Townsend and Port Angeles for the Olympic Peninsula Wine, Cider, and Cheese Tour. Camaraderie was our last stop of the day and our first time visiting...the first of many to come. The location and tasting room were perfect. Tastefully decorated with a balance of warmth, charm, and elegance. They were well staffed for the tour event, and easily accommodated the 2 dozen or more people that were there at the same time that we visited. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This is about what I would expect for a very good wine tasting experience...but it got better. Their wines are extremely good. Having been members of excellent wineries in Napa, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, and Woodinville over the past 10 years, I do not hesitate to say that Camaraderie Cellars wines are special. It was a pleasure to meet the owners, Don and Vicki. And Don was so wonderful to give us a tour of the property and a special toast for my step mom's birthday. We live in Edmonds, but we most certainly will visit Camaraderie on our future trips to the Peninsula, including pickups of wine as new club members. read more

If you want to satiate your optical and taste senses at the same time - this is your place. a fire-pit and gardens welcome you. two small black doggies met us in the parking lot and escorted us to the tasting room. inside you'll find a fire-place warming up the bar area. it's sort of like the Disney World of wineries in the North Olympic peninsula. My tia was totally turned off by the host (one of the owners, Don) when he gave a quick tutorial on wine-tasting. it didn't bother me, i've run across much snobbier sommeliers but if you have people unfamiliar with wine and the people who make it, it may be a bit of a turn-off. my grandmother did not give a flip, she downed her tastings like they were tequila shots at a college bar (we are classy). they did bring out two people to man the counter as more people arrived. their merlot (my arch nemesis) was my favie, they described it as the cab drinkers' merlot and they were spot on. i def recommend checking it out if you're into reds. this winery is fairly easy to find (compared to some others in the area). when the group you are visiting with requires pretty places that looked like they were ripped from a home and garden magazine, or numerous awards to validate that they have fantastic wine - bring 'em here. Very nice winery with decent wines. Their hours frustrate us a little bit because we live out of town and like to drive up to PA on impulse. Unless it's Fri-Sun, they're closed. Since we don't typically purchase s lot of wine, calling to make an appointment to taste is not something we are comfortable doing. At the tasting room they usually have a fire going inside and out and it's a great place for a picnic. This place is very peaceful and nice place to relax and drink some wine. We will sometimes bring our dog which is not a problem, and the owners will sometimes have their dog around as well. For those who say the atmosphere is horrible and snobby, it's easy to feel that way when you are insecure, but they have never been anything but nice here! I can get crowded at times and they don't have a huge staff, but they do the best they can to accommodate everyone. They make a lot of great wine and it's situated in nice area to visit. read more

I would have given this a 5 star rating...but. First of all, the wines were all very good, the setting is lovely, and the staff was friendly. However, we had come with a special offer from the Seattle Times for a tasting and 3 bottles for $79 (a savings of $14- I always a appreciate a sale!) We enjoyed a regular tasting, and liked the $45 bottle that was supposed to be included in our Times Spring package. So, we purchased the Spring package, along with an extra purchase of the Red wine in the camping package. Imagine our surprise when we got home and found that only 1 of the 3 wines we thought we were getting was in our box! Two we hadn't even tried, and no $45 bottle. We called the winery to explain it to them, thinking they might want to credit us for the difference, or offer to send more wine. But no, the woman we spoke to said we had paid $79 and received $79 worth of wine and we should be happy. We were not, but she was unmoving. She didn't apologize Needless to say, this left us with a very bad taste. Why offer a special, if you don't intend to honor it? Was it a bait and switch? It would have taken so little to make us happy, and we were ready to share how much we liked the winery with our wine loving friends. I don't recommend it now. read more

LOVED this place. WOW stopped in 12 years ago and then back in town now. The place is great. They have grown up a lot. The day we were there they had a harp playing and wine tasting going on. I meet the owners and many of the locals. Its a little oasis. I highly recommend this place. They make you feel welcome. read more

Wonderful winery, run by very hospitable and kind people. Cabernet Franc kept wonderfully for months! A friend of mine and I were on a rushed winery tour of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. In our haste we did not read the fine print, therefore not realizing they were closed. Even when we parked in their private home lot, and not the winery, they still welcomed us in and offered to let us taste one bottle, free of charge. As we left, they handed us a second bottle to enjoy with our friends later that night. Worth the drive and the money! read more

Can't believe this isn't the highest rated place of any on the peninsula. We must have stayed here for 3 hours. It will remain in my memory as a place I'll recall any time I want to remember feeling relaxed & happy. We bought 2 bottles as well, so the wine was tasty to match the peaceful, joyous ambience of the property. If a wood fire, friendly doggies, nice staff, owners, & fellow guests, & wine sounds like a good place to spend an afternoon, this is the spot for you.
