It looked good..but no pizzazz to the 'za (all dre $$ed plus ground beef and bacon and onion)

Well...3.7 stars. Just ok tasting. .but nice cheese and meat ratio and good crust. But put it all together and still bland. People are nice. Pizza looked fantastic. Just zero taste. I went all the way there on recommendation. Oh well

Excellent pizza!

Great pizza. We ordered the meat lovers.. Service was a bit slow but I guess it does take enough time to cook a pizza. Tasted great though. Poutine was more of a 3 star on one.

Large poutine, really giantish actually....

Great pizzas and calzones. Quick service and good menu. I order... shop at IGA then pick up the finished pizzas and enjoy at home.

Great pizza on West Island, my personal favourite is spicy Mexican, or vegetarian deluxe as an alternative.

For those who crave a Gema-like end result without the "I'm sitting in my car on the 40 on a Sunday…read morejust to go get a slice, is something wrong with me?" experience, there is now a Holy Grail of real Neapolitan pizza in the West Island. From the moment you walk into the casual, if not tiny, eatery, you are greeted by a tall, somewhat imposing, but extremely warm and welcoming gentleman by the name of Germano. My new friend pours his heart and soul into everything he does within those 4 walls at Cugini's Pizza Cafe. From the antipasto board, to the incredibly fresh ingredients topping the slow cooked sauce atop a crispy pizza crust, to the heavenly Nodini (pastries topped with Nutella, honey and powdered sugar)...you can taste the love in every bite. I've sampled 4 different pizzas from the menu and they are all equally delicious. If you are looking for Quality, and are willing to pay a little more for a great pizza, you will never be disappointed by Cugini's. Just don't expect him to rush your order or give you the cold shoulder, because Germano's warmth and true love for his craft will make you want to stay and chat for a while as your pizza cooks to perfection within his ovens. You owe it to yourself to try Cugini's and I guarantee you will become a regular, just like me.

That said, I'm giving it 4 stars because as incredible as the pizza was, it ended up costing $80 for just one pizza for two people and we only had the free water. Definitely on the pricey side, which makes it feel more like a once-in-a-while luxury. We ordered the Cup & Char pizza, and it took a full hour to be ready. When the staff brought it to us, they mentioned it takes longer because it's one of their best and fair enough, it was amazing but it would have been nice to know that at the time we ordered. Waiting that long without a heads-up, especially if you have other plans, isn't ideal. Overall, the pizza is truly outstanding, but the price and wait time are things to keep in mind. If you go, go hungry... and patient

Ristorante Casa Mare - Spaghetti Bolognese- very good but nothing spectacularly different than what you can make at home. Still delicious!

I was pleased to see such a nice assortment of alcohol-free beverage options and the Shirley Temple wasn't too sweet. I really enjoyed it. The escargot appetizer was really good. Lots of cheese and the snails themselves weren't rubbery. I loved them. I usually get the spaghetti bolognese when I try new Italian places and it didn't disappoint tonight! It's a bit similar to what you can make at home which is good if you're looking for a home cooked meal vibe. If you want to having something spectacular that you can't make yourself at home, maybe look at other options. The ambiance is very cozy but not in a restrictive and formal way. There was a birthday celebration nearby and it seemed like they were all happy to be celebrating here. The lava cake was DELICIOUS. I was hesitant to order it because I don't usually get a dessert but it gave me more time with my Aunt and we were in no rush to leave. They have several tea/coffee options which were basic but tasty nonetheless. I've seen worse prices elsewhere and the portions are not shabby- I even had leftovers to bring home with me. Overall, I would not hesitate to come back here and I really enjoyed it. The waitress we had was super nice and I have zero complaints.

The food was sensational. My wife is not a big eater so we shared a table d'hote. We shared a house salad which was very good and then we shared the Italian Trio which consisited of Lasagne, veal parmesan and fettuccini alfredo. Everything melted in your mouth. The portion was huge and they served these hot rolls that were absolutely fantastic. We topped it off with cannoli and coffee and to top it all off, this is a bring your own wine restaurant. This was my second time there but it won't be my last. The other diners had chicken dijonnaise, veal with capers, clams with fries and shrimps. Not a complaint in the bunch. The entire staff was so friendly.....KEEP DOING THIS !!

When we got there the staff seemed to be scurrying around and distracted so we had to wait a few minutes before checking the reservations for the evening. We were then taken to a long table near the far end. It felt somewhat out of the way so we asked if there was anything closer to the front. We were then moved to the front of the same long table (cushioned back seat). It was a better location but we couldn't figure out why the staff was running around and acting as though they were expecting the Prime Minister to walk in. There was a birthday party going on but they didn't necessitate everyone's time. There were tables by the window that were open and remained that way until we were finished our meal, which was just after 7:00pm. It started getting busy then. We shared a carafe of House Red from a lovely & attentive server named Véronique and then we each ordered a pizza from their huge selection. I had the delicious Mediterranean, which had fresh tomatoes, spinach, onions, fresh herbs, garlic and feta cheese and my niece had the Vieux Four (with smoked meat) pizza which she really enjoyed. We were honoured when the owner, M. Manago himself, stopped by our table to say hello. Even though the food was good, I don't think I'd go back to this place next time I'm in town, unless I'm with a dignitary or the Prime Minister.
