Calvin always does a great job. I've gone here a few times to get a full set and pedicure. He is the best in North County, hands down. He pays attention to detail and makes sure you are completely happy. The woman who did my pedicure was amazing. She took her time and did an amazing job. It was her first day at Calvin's. It was the best pedicure I've ever gotten. She was very careful and precise.

Calvin was so friendly and went over his history of his nail salon, his products and guarantees. My hands look beautiful. Emma worked on my feet. She didn't rush , gave a wonderful massage . My first visit here was excellent. I will definitely be a returning customer!

Service and sanitation needs improvement BIG TIME Based on reviews I thought my first time will be great but NOPE! Can't even rely on stars anymore and so disappointed I paid 68 almost 70 dollars for short short nails that had no color nor design ! Just the acrylic base !! I just paid and dip , never going back nor recommending this nasty place to anyone 1. I was early to my appt and didn't even confirm my name for my appt just moved with hands sign to come sit on the chair I was like no greet or anything ? 2. I asked for simple small French nails and calvin himself did not want to do the design be he said " it won't look good" as if I never gotten it before like really ? I'm paying you for a service and can't get what I'm paying for ?? 3. He started first off drilling my nails and the towel that was placed on the desk had cuticle skin pieces from someone else ! So disgusting I thought he at least could do is change it and clean the desk but nope , should've been my sign to walk out the door!! 4. I booked for nails and a pedicure but after declining my simple design for my nail and nasty desk with nail dust and skin pieces on the towel I just did the nails bc I have a wedding to be part of in 2 days 5. I needed to get my nails done and that day was the only day available just sucks I had to be almost 70 dollars for just acrylic , no color or design , not even nail tech home base charge that much and they are more sanitize I didn't get what I wanted for a special occasion and they ruined that for me for a wedding I'm part of !! NEVER AGAIN SO NASTY , RUDE , AND PRICEY FOR SHIT I deserve a refund or part of my money back honestly so disappointed in everything in that place

I absolutely love Calvin and the staff he's hired to work alongside him. It's easy to book, easy to find and time efficient. Once you walk in it feels like you've entered a luxury spa! And the atmosphere is comfortable and clean- I consider that one of the most important things when it comes to cosmetic services. All you need to do is show one of the staff a picture and they'll be 100% transparent about their skill levels. Calvin's definitely a man of quality and enjoys focusing on detail whilst still being a light and engaging with customers. Anything you're specific about, they'll make that a priority when it comes to the finished product. If you're still on the fence I recommend giving it a try! Calvin's is worth the money and time.

Went there today and got a pedicure, Calvin is a really nice person. His staff was kind. Unfortunately the technician scrubbed my skin clear off today. I think she was focused on something else? She was very apologetic. It was a very painful experience. I had to cancel going on a walk with my friends today because it hurts in shoes. When I brought it up to Calvin, he gave me 10 dollars off. Paint is a cute color I guess. It's hurting worse as the day goes by. Love that for me.

I'm so glad I was referred to check this place out for a full set! I recently moved to Templeton and all I can say is this place is clearly the best. Calvin has great taste and a wonderful team. I had the pleasure of getting my full set done by Julie who is new to the area as well and did a fantastic job! Great salon atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Calvin's salon is super cool! I have so enjoyed watching the business expand over the years!! Luna and kevin, with the personalized equipment and all is truly an experience. Lovely mani and pedi. Visiting from out of town and really needed to care for some seriously neglected cuticles. Enjoyed the massage chair and got some great chill time while getting an immaculate manicure and pedicure. I don't go in for the fancy stuff but it was perfect for what I wanted. HUGE polish selection and super sanitary. Appointment only, so plan ahead. read more

I have been house sitting for my daughter while she is away and she had suggested Calvin's for me to get my nails done as well as a pedicure. They did an amazing job. The nail salon was very clean and when the staff members did not have a client, you could see them cleaning the tables, chairs etc. I recommend this nail salon for all your needs. My 15yr old daughters both went in for a full set of nails. This place charged them extra for every single thing that they could without telling the girls what they would owe at the end. My girls had to pay them $140. It was so upsetting. They charged one of my daughters $20 extra for nail art which was just one squiggle line on each nail! I don't recommend this place but if you do go make sure you know what you're paying for before you get started. read more

While traveling in Paso Robles I needed a good manicure with dip powder. Based on the reviews for Calvins I booked an appointment and he was able to get me in early. Calvin is back at it again and I am so honored to trust him in doing my wedding nails. They came out beautifully and I can't wait to see them with my dress on. If you're looking for quality, look no further because you're looking at the best nail salon in the central coast. I showed him a picture inspired by Pinterest and he nailed it (yes, literally and metaphorically). One thing I do have to say is thank you to the kind customer (Ed I believe) for sponsoring my pedicure. That was the kindest gesture someone has done for me in the longest time and it touched my heart that you did that for me! Thank you!!! Very comfortable little salon. Calvin is very nice and welcoming. I did a walk in and waiting less than 5 mins. Nail color selection was great as well. The only reason I didn't give this salon a 5 is because the lady who was doing my nails nicked me pretty good by going to hard on my cuticle bed. She did put powder (I think it was for the blood) on it to help with the pain. Overall I'll probably be back read more

This place was amazing! I got a gel manicure and polish pedicure here while on vacation in Paso Robles. The salon itself was peaceful. The service was great. But the best part is the final product! I've never had a manicure last this long. I'm very hard on my nails, but this gel manicure has lasted nearly 4 weeks! I've attached a picture of my nails at day 27. You can see the growth, but they aren't chipped. A few nails have just started to lift on the sides...after 3 1/2 weeks! I would highly recommend Calvin's! read more

I'm new to the area and have been shopping around for a nail salon to call home. So far, Calvins has been the most professional and I have always loved all of gel manicures and pedicures, which is not something I can say about the few others I have tried. He is a little more pricey than I am used to, however, the quality work that comes out of this salon is worth it! Plus, Chewy the resident salon dog, always puts a smile on my face. He does not always have same day appointments available so I recommend plugging his number in your phone and calling at least a day or two ahead of time to schedule an appointment - he's well loved in our area! read more

I only trust Calvin with my nails! In all my years of getting acrylics, he is by far the most experienced and meticulous manicurist I have come across. Of the few times I've gone to him, the nails have come out better than I've ever had. My job is pretty physical, and my nails do well at lasting till my nextfill in. read more

I have never gotten a more beautiful gel french manicure in my life, and the pedicure was luxurious. Im kinda bummed at the service I received. I was vacationing in my home town. I had planned girl weekend and tgis was our first stop. I was excited to do this since I havent been pampered in a while. I read the reviews ans read that this was absolutely great and at a fair price. When we went in they had us pick a color. After we were ready they moved us to the chairs. At first everything was great. Then I got insecure since the women doing my nails kept talking low and i couldn't hear her. The she went on to show me how awful my feet were. This made me feel awkward and inscure. I thought ok maybe the rest will be ok. I was very excited for the ten minute foot and leg massage and my five minute hand massage. Unfortunately I didnt even get a five minutes on either. I was super bummed. Especially since my friend had two people working on her and pampering her so much. I thought maybe after it will be mu turn. Nope, I didn't . My woman worked slow. She made a face when she cut my big toenails. As if it was impossible and they needed some heavy machinery. After done she moved me to the table to get my nails done. My friends was done and she was still under the dryer for fifteen minutes. The women painted my nails and then asked me if i wanted a double coat. I said yes please. She made a face like it was so much more work. Not to mention I smuged one of my fingers. I told her I was sorry and she didn't have to fix it since it was my fault. She looked irratated and walked away and told someine else to fix it. Awkward. After nails were done they let me dry for about 5 minutes. My friend had fifteen to dry. They told me it was still wet so be careful. Since I didn't get the time to fully dry my nails got messed up. I was a bit upset. I felt like I got dooped. I do have to add that the salon was very clean and welcoming. The parking was a bit packed. It has a small parking lot. Its best to make an appointment. I really wanted to love this place. Again this is my experience. O was helped by an older women. My friend had a better one. I may consider going again in the future. As long as I don't get the same lady. read more

I am here in Calvin's, getting ready for my best friend's wedding. All the bridesmaids got our pedi and gel manis here. The services here us seriously amazing. I can't use that word enough. The setting is very soothing. The employees are very well trained, they listen and they don't yell or talk among themselves while you're enjoying their services. They allowed us to open champagne and were very helpful. They play great music and have an obscenely cute dog that sits in the corner, named Chip. He's such a well behaved dog and super friendly so if you want to say hi or pick him up he allows you to. He just sits and watches everyone getting their nails done. It's so adorable. The thing that stood out about Calvin is he is here working hard, he kept asking us if we needed anything, and then ordered us a fruit and cheese plate for us to eat while we were here. He said it was, "for our patience," but honestly he was just being super friendly and over accommodating since we didn't even have to wait long. Totally top tier service here. Enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon getting a manicure and pedicure. I think Calvin's Nails on Main Street in Templeton is THE BEST nail salon in San Luis Obispo County. Calvin and his talented staff have meticulous attention to detail and superior customer service. It's a lovely salon--quiet, and peaceful. Calvin and his staff are pleasant, friendly, kind, and always do excellent work, using high-quality polish/products. I love the foot, leg, hand and arm massage part of the mani/pedi. Calvin's salon is always extremely clean. The spa chairs with the back massagers are so relaxing. I recommend trying them out for a pedicure and /or manicure. If you live outside of Templeton, it is definitely worth the drive to Templeton for sure! They are in the same small center as Kitchenette and Griff's Bistro on March Street. read more

I went to calvin's today to get a new set and with a crazy idea on what i wanted. i knew it would be hard, but figured why not let's still do it! I wanted a white and green yin and yang sign on two of my fingers. Will, my new favorite person, was the one doing my nails this time, and let me tell ya... they turned out AMAZING. not only did the signs look really good, but he surprised me by putting chinese symbols/designs on my middle fingers. didn't know what was going on at first but the results were worth it. If anyone comes down to calvin's expect good things from everyone and make sure to give a generous tip to my pal Will. oh and don't forget the amazing Calvin ;) read more

Never being there before. I called this morning not thinking I would be able to get in. I called and Calvin answered. I asked if he had anytime to fit me in for my birthday, he said would 11:00 work I told him yes. I told him, as being a manicurist myself, I'm very, very picky. Calvin didn't disappoint! Have been back to Calvin's four times since his new shop opened. Hector is now doing my nails (gel) and does an excellent job. He has a great sense of humor and speaks fluent English. What a fun place, relaxing, and knowing one will get fabulous service. Can't beat that! Just look at all the "five star" reviews this new salon already has. Beautiful and immaculate salon. read more

I highly recommend Calvin's if you're looking for a clean, well-equipped nail salon with an impressive range of colors and luxurious seating.
