Having lived in Church Hill for 1+ years now, we knew so little of the history of the area and really appreciated how knowledgeable our guide was about our stomping grounds. Felt very safe throughout, had all of our questions answered, and felt inspired to sign up for another tour real soon! Would recommend 10/10 to anybody else thinking about trying it :)

I was even more excited that we did not have to actually paddle the boat as the captain was able to maneuver without our help. It was very hot that day and I did not want to mess up my outfit. Two of the best perks were 1) being allowed to bring food and drinks due to them having built in coolers in the table area. There were also extra cooler bags brought by the hostess. 2) having a bathroom on board made for an even more comfortable experience. The staff assisted with taking pictures, making sure there was a speaker for music, and simply answering any questions we might have had while aboard. There is an option to give tips and I highly recommend having cash or venmo/cashapp options as it was worth every penny to tip them. The experience was leisurely and the owner and staff set tha environment. Definitely a must try.

Ok so we go on the tour we learned so many things. Richmond is full of historical gems. Also filled with history we are not proud of like the hanging gardens or the Craig house. We got alot of knowledge from lexi. The cobble stone in road was also explained. I would do the extended tour if you can. And the tour ends right by the bar area. You can grab a drink after. I loved my ghost tour.

I had the pleasure of being gifted a tour certificate from my co-workers who all know how much of a foodie I am. I finally found a good time to go when the weather was pretty mellow, and it was just perfect to walk around for the tour. I opted for the Churchill food tour, and shockingly had not tried many of the places on the tour, so was in for a treat. I wasn't expecting the history tour along with it, but that was nice to hear about Richmond's history while walking and site seeing. The tour guides are great and excited to be there and giving the tours, which also makes for a great experience. There were about five stops on the tour within two hours and it was a nice balance of walking, eating and taking breaks to learn. Some tours and stops even include alcohol, so that was a nice surprise. I've already bought another gift certificate to check out a different food tour. Highly recommend this experience to all, especially my foodies and history buffs!

The owner is so sweet and encourages you to stay as long as you like, invites you to walk the lovely property and loaf about as one would after a very laid back tea. We decided to try English Breakfast and a Paris tea and they brought them out together which was nice cuz hubs could compare (not a tea guy). The devonshire cream was luscious, strawberry jam was delightful and plentiful, scones and tea sandwiches were very nice as were the selection of sweets. The house is positively charming, decorated so cosy and nice and it's the owners family farm. We even bought some honey they harvest on property. I am at XL most weekends playing soccer and enjoying some social time with friends. We joke that it is our version of a country club without being snooty. I've met some of my best friends here, and my kids have pretty much grown up here. It's fun for adults, but also kid friendly. They have a snack bar with lots of fried foods, which I try (note the word try) to avoid, and a nice beer selection, including local craft beers. Most teams will hang out afterward for a beer or two, so you have lots of opportunities to socialize. I hope I'll be able to continue playing for years to come, but occasionally it gets to be a little too much. Sometimes new teams join and they take it too seriously and we get hurt (I have scars to prove it), but we try to help them understand that it is SOCIAL, none of us will be going to the World Cup. It is just for fun, so chill!
