The instructor was very upbeat and cheerful and got us through the session with constructive feedback with our CPR techniques. Even though it was a 4 hour course, the instructor made time fly by. The mannequins were thoroughly cleaned before our class started and we were given sanitary wipes multiple times during our session to ensure they were clean after each use. COVID precautions were definitely taken and the instructors had their masks on and the room was ventilated with a fan. Seating was 1 person per table which allowed for adequate social distancing. On top of everything, pricing was probably the best in town at around $45 ($60 with AHA book). Very professional and kind staff that went out of their way to make the courses pleasant. I will be coming back 2 years from now for my next recertification!

He had taken swim lessons before as an infant but we are starting back up at 7 years old. I feel this is an incredible value, 30 minutes weekly is ample time for my son and others in the area are just 20 minutes. His teacher Michelle is amazing! She's very caring and makes the pool even more fun for the students. They really are team oriented and you can see managers or other staff jumping in to help instruct, if needed. The facility is very clean and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Last week it was raining and the woman at the front desk was even escorting families without umbrellas to and from their cars. Come on now! That's some great service! The changing rooms, pool area, restrooms, and waiting area are all clean and comfortable spaces.

My wife and I brought our 3-year-old daughter here to start swim lessons…read more The package we got covered several months and it was $382 that we paid upfront.  We were pleased for about the first month and a half, and my daughter appeared to be catching on with her lessons well. Then we needed to call out because she was sick.  The staff told us that a makeup class would be an extra $5 charge.  We disagreed with this because it encourages parents to bring in sick children during a pandemic so they can avoid paying any money extra than the money they paid initially for the package. My wife called and talked to the school, and then also emailed a manager to see if there was anything they could do to waive the fee.  Neither call was productive, they informed us that that's how their business model works, but they still expect parents to keep their children home if they're not feeling well.   Initially when we signed up we were told there was a $30 military discount that was supposed to waive the application fee.  They charged us for this anyway... and we didn't catch it until we saw it was taken out.  When we had asked them about this, they said that they will still have to charge us a transaction fee of $11 to send the money back to us. Even though it was their mistake. So we never really got a military discount. Even though we were promised it. The lessons are 30 minutes a piece, and they are divided up on how many children happen to be with that teacher, up to three. Which would indicate that the child receives between 15 minutes and 10 minutes of Hands-On instruction during each lesson. To summarize..   -They promised us a discount we never got... -Charged us for a make up lesson when we kept our daughter home sick. -$382 / 18 lessons equals $21.22 per lesson, covering 10 to 15 minutes of Hands-On instruction. Overall, terrible value for the money and an inflexible company that uses poor business model puting children's safety and health at higher risk. also. There's a sign posted in the school that says "if you are not satisfied with today's lesson another will be provided for free" then why do they keep trying to charge us more money? Review edited to take off one star. After seeing emler's response. They stated that they would give us a military discount and then they changed the business arrangement once they had our money. Their review does not apologize, or try to resolve any issue. When discussing the $5 penalty for rescheduling a class. They claim that they do it to maintain "schedule integrity". Their integrity is worth $5? There is a pandemic happening and we are talking about the safety and health of our kids.

I have been to three colleges and this one is the worst. They eill mess up so bad on the financial end that you will spend everyday calling them and they will not get it fixed. It has been a month of just trying to get my military pay fixed so i can get money to feed my wife and daughter something other than noodles. I have given up on classes because they take so much time that balancing work family and school is not possible. They do not care how expensive books are they will still make you read 3 or 4.

If you send your kid here for a few months, other than them earning stars (nice) but you don't get a report out of what they are learning for your $350/month (bad). In the "old days" people simply sent kids home with the papers they worked on but not Mathnasium. I tried to work with this place. When my daughter complained that everything was too easy, I visited the manager. When she said that what they were studying in school wasn't being helped by mathnasuim I visited the manager again and went over Olivia's records. The manager was put together and knew the program well. But execution on the ground wasn't good and all I was doing was spending money and my daughter was getting very little value for it. My daughter does better when working with one tutor but with Mathnasium she got a different tutor every time. So the system is transactional rather than relationship building. She doesn't do well with strangers. To cap it all off, Mathnasium charges you to break the relationship. Once you realize your kid isn't really making good progress they have in the contract that when you cancel, you need to continue paying them for an additional month (another $350), and to add to the rub, you get charged $200 for breaking contract. This is a very steep cost that an unhappy customer is forced to pay. After later review, the manager decided to give me a break on the contract fee--thank you. So what's an alternative? I'm taking my daughter to SAM-Houston. They use the Singapore Math system and guess what? They bring home a workbook so I'll know what's being taught. And they have two tutors so she can develop a rapport.

I must say that it was an experience. Pleasant for the most part, but definitely an experience…read more There are no signs around the address. When I got there, for my 9am appt, no one was prepared. I got the paperwork & Debbie (the instructor) got stuck on the phone (all the while making the talking hand motion to me & rolling her eyes), until after 9:20. (Keep in mind that I was there for a full Brazilian laser hair removal.) Once I was excourted to the room, it was the actual classsroom. 3 long tables for students with the table for me & the equiptment, front & center in the room. I was then informed that THREE students would be doing my laser treatment, in sections. I was taken aback, but Debbie assured me that no other students would be entering the room, once I was undressed & undergoing the procedure. (She was mistaken). The ladies all stepped out for me to disrobe & returned in a few minutes. Before they could get started, one of them kicked the plug out of the socket, so they had to recalibrate the laser. In my past experience, parts to be lasered were wiped down with a sterile solution, but they proceeded with out, so I asked about it & was told that unless the client is unclean, they usually don't bother with that. Then most of the actual treatmet when well. I have ZERO pain tolerance, but they worked with me very well (most of them admitting how they handled their own treatments - everything from valum to swearing loudly) & in under an hour my treatment was finished. At one point, another student did open the door & walk in. The doos has an arm above, so it took several seconds to close on it's own. This student who was not part of my treatment crew made no apologies, nore did she try to make an effort to actually close the door behind her. Yes, it was very painful at 1st, but as I told them what hurt & where, they accomated me with adding an ice pack, sonogram gel, & the chiller. I booked my next appointment in 6 weeks, so from this very admittedly anxious patient with no pain tolerance at all, just know that I am so grateful for the recommendation & plan to ultimately have all of the areas that I currently shave lasered at this location.
