When speaking with her I noticed she seemed a bit out of her body as though she maybe had had too much coffee or something, she was not grounded and present. We spoke for a bit then as instructed I laid face down on the table and she went to my right lower leg to move it and pulled it sideways in the opposite direction it naturally goes - I felt a warm sensation and knew in that moment something was wrong. For two months after that my right knee was in pain whenever I would walk anywhere. That was a few years ago, and I still at times upon walking too much (not often but it still happens) I feel there is a pocket of air in my right knee or very extremely subtle discomfort. I'm very grateful it's so very subtle, but it's still there when it wasn't at all before I went to see this practitioner. I didn't even go in for my legs or knees, it was for my spine. It just felt like it was sloppy service which has resulted in some sort of permanent injury. A reminder to anyone who reads this - if you notice any practitioner you meet does not seem present and in their body, cancel the appointment. Even if you're in the room. That is your right and okay to do. Not in a mean way, be kind about it but do what you feel you need to do.

Each one has a strength, so if you're new, tell them what you're looking for and there will undoubtedly be someone there who specialises in just that. All the staff are Registered Massage Therapists. If you aren't able to speak to a person on the phone, just leave a message -- they will get back to you promptly. The office is simply decorated, but very comfy and calming and very neat. Whether you're trying to recover from a new (or old) injury, or just want to relax, I highly recommend Queen's Park. As for the practicals... Queen's Park happily accepts both cash and debit, but not credit. Parking is generally not an issue, especially as there is plenty of 2-hour free parking on nearby side-streets, or metred parking directly in front. The 106 bus runs up and down 6th street, and stops at both the New Westminster and Edmonds stations at either end of the run. There is no play area, however, so leave the childrens at home. Also, I am not sure if there is an elevator in their building; they are on the second floor, which may be a concern for people with limited mobility.
