He approached me while I was checking out a Jaguar guitar and I asked him a few questions about how the controls on the guitar worked (because they were really different) and what the B stock label meant and how that could affect resale down the road if I decided to sell it. His conversational tone and somewhat combative statements were really off putting. The guitar was a pretty good deal but I really didn't want to do business with a guy like him. Shopping for guitars should be a fun experience, but this was just an upsetting one. This visit made me appreciate Guitar Center a lot more because they treat customers (including kids) so well there and don't make you feel bad asking questions about guitars or taking your time checking out gear.

He answered all of my questions and I was leaning toward buying an Epiphone acoustic guitar at the time. Noah also gave me a tour - there is a whole other level downstairs! There must have been some 20 private music lesson rooms, and then down this back hallway - a large room for jam sessions/open mic night on Friday nights. Based on the service I received from Noah - I like Contemporary Music Service. The place is bright, well laid out, clean, and energizing. This SHOULD have taken an hour or two tops, maybe a day if they were very busy. However, this store kept his guitar for over three weeks (after saying it would be a "couple days, tops"), and when he got it back, nearly nothing had been done. The bridge and nut remain the same, and the guitar's finish has fingerprints all over it. They then charged him $40 to get his guitar back, which basically amounted to a string change. I find this completely unacceptable, and I will never ever give them any business ever again. I had a similar operation done to my acoustic at Guitar Center, and it took less than two hours. I urge all of you to boycott this shop as they're incapable of following through on a very simple request, even after multiple calls over the course of 3 weeks for this "couple days, tops" work.
