One of my favorite swap meets to visit on the weekends! Parking is plentiful, but it definitely…read moregets packed during peak hours, so be prepared to drive around a bit before finding a spot. Admission is very affordable--only $1 per person (I remember when it used to be about fifty cents They're typically open early morning and close around 2 PM on weekends, and they're only open on Saturdays & Sundays. What I love most about this place is the variety. There are rows and rows of vendors selling just about everything you can imagine. From fruit trees and fresh produce to yard sale treasures, mattresses, furniture, and even brand-new items it's like a giant treasure hunt. If you enjoy browsing and negotiating, many vendors are open to bargaining on prices. There are also plenty of food and drink stands if you need a snack while walking around. The restrooms are available and surprisingly clean and well stocked. Overall, it's a great place to shop, explore, and definitely get your steps in because there's so much to see. I'd highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy swap meets or bargain hunting.

Spring Valley Swap Meet, you deserve my 5 stars!! Why. you…read moreask?! From my many visits to Spring Valley Swap Meet, I can see you guys got it all under control, from directing traffic because it looks like a mess but you got this, the staff clears the foot and car traffic real quick. The parking gets very crowded but be patient, you will find a stall, after we parked our rental car, I was worried about how I would make it across safely without getting hit, but we made it across thanks to the attendant for directing traffic like junior JPO's. What can you do with $1. FREE parking- admission to the Spring Valley Swap Meet, the greatest deal ever!! Get a stamp if you need to re-enter. This Spring Valley Swap Meet is SUPER HUGE and is outdoors located in Spring Valley, of course. They operate only on Saturday and Sundays from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, wide variety of vendors selling everything from antiques, vintage items, to clothes, electronics, furniture, mortuary plots ( I saw 2 different business offering this) household goods, plants, and local produce. There are food vendors, bar for alcohol near entrance, and entertainment too! I enjoy coming out here to the swap meet, we try to squeeze it in despite so much to do but so little time. I just love to look at and shop for plants and also get the cheap, colorful fruits for the hubby! I like to browse and at the same time get our steps in. What did I get during this recent to Spring Valley, some new with tag storage, household items from Target, Toys for my friend's daughter, and fruits! The fruits are so cheap, strawberry for $2. a pack or 3/$5., cherries $2. lb. even avocados! I wish prices are this low back on Oahu. Every time I see the chayote fruit, its Mexican kine with pokey thorns, gives me chicken skin, how would you remove the skin without getting hurt? Although the swap meet is outdoors, I can imagine the heat during the Summer, we normally visit during the Fall/Spring time so the weather is much cooler. It does get hot towards the afternoon but we are out of there by then. This swap meet is huge so we normally don't go around the entire place, we give ourselves a time limit of one hour, quick stop in and go! I look forward to visiting Spring Valley SM again!

No more Pokemongo stops or raids. This shopping center was a great location for the games…read moregeocache. Now that they are removing it, the interest to come here isn't as high for me. I've been to Cotijas, Baskin Robbins, McDonald's, Subway, Vons, the petstore and even the flower shop. I've discovered the açaí bowl place next to subway. I've discovered an in store Starbucks at Vons (that makes better Fraps than the actual Starbucks locations). I've discovered a library across the street. All this, playing Pokémon go in this area. This whole place is loaded with in game content and a lot of players frequent the area while enjoying the local businesses. For many of us, the games presence was the defining difference maker as to why we would come here instead of let's say Otay Ranch Mall or Chula Vista Mall. Or another food location or Wal-Mart or even Costco's. It had a gym that many of us took pride in defending (a gym is an in game location that players Pokémon battle over for territorial control based on 1 of three team factions). Anyways, I thought about going to my favorite taco but ended up siding with cotijas over here since it is in this parking lot and I see that all the stops are being removed along with its gym. Nothing against cotijas, but the main reason that won me over here most of the time WAS Pokemongo. I understand some players hog the parking spots that may effect small businesses (real life greater than gaming life). But I just wanted to voice my opinion on this. This shopping Centre may not lose a lot of money. But this specific one is probably going to be crossed off of my main spending locations. It obviously needs every dollar it can get as small businesses constantly come and go. Like hallmark is already Out of Business here. Your local food spots were great for gamers though. Shutting them out isn't a great idea In my opinion because you miss out on extra business. Especially when your parking lot is a well known reference spot. "The Vons" is all we had to say and Pokemongo players knew which Vons you meant. Now it's just another Vons to us. Well probably migrate to another shopping center or area. But disappointed here for sure as this was my favorite due to the location. You see we wanted to consolidate trips. Have our cake and eat it too. Now it's either a Pokemongo event day or a Vons area day. I can't count how many times we shop here after a go session. Or just come here strictly for shopping before playing on the way out. This is a big rant for sure but somebody has to do it lol. Best Wishes and Thanks.

it's looking good, the place is all renewed and nearly complete, well at least our phase. still…read moresome painting and minor things to do, but 99.9% complete. love it, as it gives the center a new and modern look. some people don't like it at all, but i feel that it's brighter, safer and more open. cons...this will not be a good thing when it comes time to renew the lease, but in the meantime i'm going to enjoy my time in the center. now just waiting for vons to do their internal renovation and then the center will be completely done. wish they had some motorcycle parking or at least left some of the corner planters, so we can park a motorcycle or scooter instead.
