They have carnival food too .

Stopped by the Spring Valley Swap Meet today to check out the deals and honestly, there are so many. Stuff here is cheap cheap. I picked up items for as low as $1, including a big pack of dog toys for $5 that retails for around $75. It's worth walking every aisle because you never know what you'll find. Definitely a fun thing to do on a Sunday if you're bored or just want to get out of the house. I'll for sure be back next week to check it out again. Heads up though: parking is horrible and they do charge $1 to get in. Also bring an umbrella if it's hot unless you want to get cooked out there.

The best juice place at the meet!!

Have $1 and some free time on a Saturday or Sunday before 3pm, come on down to Spring Valley... I know I know but you won't be disappointed! We love coming here when we are looking for something specific or to take family. We have our favorite agua frescas and my hubby has his favorite tshirt place when he is looking to get a few more to add to his collection, especially during summer. Some have tags and some just have a few defects but for $5, ant beat that. I also get my tank tops here, 3 for $10! Can't beat that. From garage sale type items to brand new item stores, plants, food and more this is a one stop shop. They do have a bar all the way in the back and you CANNOT walk around with liquor at this location like you can at Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet. Every seller we have dealt with has been super nice and accommodating, quick and efficient when paying. Some accept card but mostly cash is accepted. Recently we watched a salsa dealer selling those machines you can buy on TV for 50% off and he was a goooood seller, offer free items even if you didnt buy a unit. I call it a salsa maker because you throw everything in give it a whirl and bam precisely cut salsa! We bought one and i use it EVERY week to make fresh salsa for a fraction of what you can buy pints of salsa in the store. Come give this place a shot if you are looking for something to do on a weekend. We love coming here over Kobes.

I love the spring valley swap meet! It is $1 per person, kids under 12 are free. BRING CASH! The vendors are fair, and there's always a ton of products being offered (we came for the plants). The food vendors here are delicious too, we tried the Birria truck and it was amazing. There's a rumor there are some not to be missed nachos here too.

Service depends on the vendor... food is on point, veggies and fruits are organic and fresh just make sure you check them. So you dont get bad furry food lol. Nice place to buy plants and stickers

One of my favorite swamp meet. They have so much parking but it does get packed! Some times you have to drive around until you find a parking spot. The admittance fee is $1 per person. It used to cost .50 cent I believe they are open around 9am-10am and closes around 2ish on weekends. They are only open on Saturday and Sundays. This place have so much stuff here! They have plenty of food & drink stands. Whatever you want to buy, they will most likely sale it here. From fruit trees, fresh fruits to yard sale items and mattresses/furnitures. They have new items for sale too! Rolls and rolls of things to see. Most will work with your negotiating prices too. I would highly recommend this place to go shopping or get your steps in. There's so much to see! They have restroom too, it's pretty clean and stocked. Bring cash! I'm sure some vendors accept cards.

At the Spring Valley swap meet you can get discounted home goods, plants, perfume, and tools. There are hundreds of vendors, and they're open 7am-3pm on the weekends. It costs one dollar (cash only) for admission, and there is no re entry allowed. Signs posted in front say no dogs allowed, but there were at least 15 dogs we saw inside, so it's not enforced. There is an atm on site but the fee is $3.75 to use the atm. A few vendors do accept Venmo or card but most do not- so to be on the safe side it is good to carry cash. Also, unfortunately many food vendors have signs stating that they take card but after waiting in line you'll find out that the card reader is broken. I've noticed lots of vendors are reselling items from Costco at a lower price than the original cost. I didn't find any hidden gems today, but like with any swap meet it depends on the day and time you go! I will say though that there are always great plants for indoors and outdoors.

Strawberry Aqua Fresca - super yummy. Ordered at the same location as the nachos.

INTERESTING PLACE. It's a smash up of a swap meet, farmers market, and mini street food fair. Two things I heard why to come here: buy cheap bundles of socks and buy bomb ass nachos. After yrs of living in SD it was time to drive south east to see what this was about. DO NOT COME HERE HIGH NOON. It's mid July and it's hot af. I came here at 10:30 and it was still hot and by the time it was time to eat it's about noon. Come, earlier. Like 8am early - nobody judging you. Expect, a lot of walking. Honestly, I felt like I was in Mexico at some outdoor shopping area minus people coming up to you trying to sell stuff - It did not feel like I was in San Diego though. Endless rows of endless stuff. So many cheap offerings - toys, clothes, shoes, median snacks, vegetables, fruits, SOCKS, and more socks, and more socks, and food. I didn't need anything but came here for the nachos. NACHOS ARE OVERRATED. Ok. I've had way better. The nachos were just ok. And it's not $7, it's now $9. They had two choices: shredded beef or carne asada. I ordered the shredded beef but was given carne asada because ... they couldn't tell me why I couldn't get shredded beef. Was it out? Was it not yet ready? Idk. So I was obligated to settle for carne asada. I ordered a small and the proportion was very generous - good ratio of everything. The pico de gala was outstanding on the nachos. But the carne asada didn't do it for me. Also the queso made my chips soggy real quick and noticed that the bottom of the paper plate was just a pool of queso. I like queso but it needs queso control... maybe a little less queso and more Pico de gala so the chips can stay crunchy. I was worried I'd need to rush to the restroom so I didn't finish eating my nachos and felt I was super wasteful. STRAWBERRY AQUA FRESCA. Ordered at the same place as the nachos. This was SO good! Refreshing. Not in a rush to come back at all but if I ever come here it would be for vegetables or Mexican snacks. Not even for socks or nachos. Until the next review...

Great Swap Meet with plenty of junk to buy. The thing like most about this swap meet is the Cantina just inside the west Entrence. They have all kinds of food and great cheap beers and drinks. Staff seems really nice and friendly. Plenty of seats to chill out and get out of the sun. They usually have load music playing, but it's reggae and if feels like I'm on vacation.

On a Sunday afternoon, it was $3 per person. For frequent shoppers and vendors, I think they have stamp cards, which is neat. We had to speed run this trip because we had plans later on in the day, but we saw there was a swap meet across the street from the Brazilian restaurant that we were getting brunch at and nothing prepared us for how MASSIVE it is. I grew up going to swap meets, with one down the street for me, but this is hands down the BIGGEST one that I've been to. So big that my friends and I got split up immediately and it was somewhat difficult to find each other and leave towards the end since there's just rows and rows and aisles and aisles each and which way you turn with some dead ends here and there. There's food vendors and of course, lots of trinket, electronics, thrifted, home goods, and so much more. There's plants, fresh fruit, nuts, a neat little accordion (not sure what it's called but it's antique looking and little mechanical bits and pieces to it) that a performer had, jewelry, toys, video games, unique artwork, school supplies, clothes, etc. Before entering, we saw a vendor selling 6 pieces of clothing for $10. Friend got a bunch of accessories and jewelry for under $20. I got a cool 2 headed T-rex for $2. Some cool things were vintage Beanie Babies and the Panda Express restaurant signs? I would love to come back here and thoroughly parse through everything. Get there early in the morning and then spend hours here.

To look at a bunch of dusty clothes that look like they've been sitting in somebody's garage since 2010. It's literally just an overpriced yard sale at this point. And the vendors act like they're running luxury boutiques. One dude straight up pulled out his phone to Google an item in front of me and then tried to convince me it was "rare." If you want eBay prices, go list it on eBay. Nobody is walking around a swap meet carrying $200+ cash for crusty sweaters and busted toys. Be serious. Also, there's a vendor everyone should avoid. He's a bigger guy with a hat and glasses who has all his stuff thrown directly on the ground. He was yelling at people over looking at items. He tried to sell a kids toy car and a random doll for $75 and refused to separate them. When someone said he should just sell it online, he got loud and defensive like he was about to square up over a toy. He even told a customer to "fix" how they put something down. Sir, this is a swap meet, not a museum. The whole energy here is weird. Overpriced junk, rude people, and zero reason to come back. The $3 entry is already too much. Honestly, I'd rather go sit in my car in silence. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

I find swap meets to be kind of entertaining. Lots of knick knacks to sort through, kids toys and clothing, random things to see, and maybe you'll find something you didn't know you were looking for. I was specifically here for the fabric, and came across a few booths selling huge rolls and cutting them by the yard for roughly $1-$3 a piece. They had a wide variety from silk to velvet to cotton to fleece to linen to glittery mesh fabrics with lots of different prints. I chose a variety of floral patterns and a striped linen fabric. There was another booth that sold huge rolls of thread, zippers, bobbins, needles etc. you name it! Bought more stuff here. Including the admission fees ($1/person), I probably spent just under $20 for a bunch of fabric and sewing supplies. Looking forward to my next trip here!!
