I have been taking my car to Dinosaur Tires for years. Mostly for oil changes and tires. I have…read morealways had a positive experience. Never had issues with my oil changes or tire replacements. The staff is always friendly and courteous. This year (2026) had an opportunity to use Dinosaur for a couple of issues with my vehicle besides oil change and tire. The first issue happened to be with my driver side window sticking and not rolling up properly and some wiring issues. Dinosaur diagnosed my car with some of the hoses and wiring chewed by rats or mice (Subaru uses a soy based wire installation that rats love. This issue I believe was repaired. They had to order a part from Subaru for the window, so I was told, and I paid for that repair at a total of $600. However, no more than 3 weeks later, my driver side window was doing exactly what it was before where it would stick but eventually roll up. I should have taken it back then, and had them redo the work. I got busy and time went buy. A couple months later, I then needed my regular oil change and my AC was not getting as cool as it use to. No noises, no other issues just not getting as cool as it use to. So I took it in to Dinosaur for the oil change and to diagnose the AC problem. They asked me to leave the car for two days. When the called me on the second day, they told me the oil change was done but to fix the AC, the car needed a new Serpentine Belt and Serpentine Tensioner at a cost of service and parts of $600. I asked them how these parts were causing the problem and how it would remedy the AC problem? However the mechanic who worked on my car was not there on Saturday, so they could not give me the reasons until Monday when the mechanic was there. I was not able to afford the $600 repair that month anyway, so I mentioned I would have to have the AC fixed later next month. So I picked up my car, they changed the oil and also replaced the cabin filter. Once I got in my car to drive home, the AC was working perfectly. I am not sure what they did, but I almost paid an additional $600 to Dinosaur for something they said I needed but did not. I further verified this with my nephew who is a certified auto mechanic for Porsche. He told me that the Serpentine Belt and Serpentine Tensioner would have nothing to do with the coldness of the AC. He stated if I was having problems with those parts, I certainly would have heard something in my car and my car was making no noise. As kind and courtesy as everyone is at Dinosaur tires, I will not be taking my car back to them knowing they almost charged me $600 for a repair I did not need. And now I wonder if they actually even ordered a part from Subaru for my window since it still isn't working properly after that $600 repair. So the moral of this story is I will be finding a new car mechanic. As far as tires and oil changes? Dinosaur may be fine (though they charged me $200 for my oil change) But if you need more advanced work on your vehicle, I would not recommend them. Sorry Dinosaur.

As I had my fuel filters replaced and some engine bright work done, David contacted me and said he had found metal shavings & glitter in one of my fuel filters. I authorized them to swap out the old with the new, S & S Diesel, DCR Fuel Pump. Boom! Installed without incident by Cody & that pump is bad to the bone! You really notice the difference between stock & aftermarket!! Do not wait! Get that thing swapped out, like I did, prior to failure! I've had these tires for about 5-6 months, and since my last oil change and tire rotation, I've had to add air multiple times because all four tires keep reading 28 PSI in the morning. I stopped in to see if there might be a slow leak, only to be told it's normal to add air every two weeks. The employee even said he has to do that with his own tires. I've been driving for 30 years, and that has never been my experience. I made it clear that I understand temperature changes effecting tire PSI and that they go up slightly when they warm up, but my concerns were brushed off. And instead of checking for a possible leak, he insisted on pumping up my tires - which I'm perfectly capable of doing myself and have done several times now. It was frustrating to walk away wondering if this is how they treat everyone or if my questions were being taken less seriously as a woman. Especially since my husband's inquiries have been treated quite differently. I genuinely thought I'd found a good tire shop close by, but unfortunately, we won't be returning.

He made it clear that this was the best-case scenario, but didn't guarantee it, just gave me honest, straightforward information.
